  1. Missy and Postcode:-) I have thoroughly enjoyed your fine pictures, both on your web-site and your post entitled "Red Close-ups". I have been toying with the idea of an ankle bracelet now for some time as I think it adds a lot to the pantyhose clad ankle along with a well designed high heel shoe. I've also noticed that sometimes the bracelet is worn on the right ankle as well as on the left. Is there some fashion rule to denote which ankle the bracelet should appear on? Enquiring readers would like to know. Dawn HH

  2. JayZee:-) Thanks for your informational post. I do wear heels every day for a few hours each evening and on Saturdays and Sundays for longer periods of time. I will be looking forward to some pics of your GF in her heels. Dawn HH P.S. My wife and I are in the beginnings of street heeling also after "lurking" for over a year, and I finally decided if I was going to do it--- you have to start somewhere.

  3. My username is quite simple really since Dawn is my alterego's name and Don is my real name. I wanted to use dawn (with a small "d"), but someone from Israel had already taken it. (Thats what happens when you "lurk" too long.) So I tried to use Dawn with a capital, but that would not go through either. Then I noticed that some of the board members were using HH (High Heels) with their username, hence I ended up with Dawn HH. Then I immediately logged in so that no-one could beat me to it. The rest is history. Dawn HH

  4. Driver 8 and Dr. Shoe:-) Your posted report seems to me to be flawed a bit. I think they should have had a cross reference of men in their findings instead of just polling women ( a small cross-section at that.) My Mom had arthritis in all of her joints all of her life and was told three times in her lifetime that she was a total cripple and would never be able to walk again. Being of stubborn German background, she proved the doctors wrong each time and came back to not only to walk, but to have complete use of her body again after telling the doctors " Just watch me". I would say that shows the sturdiness of the German people and I'm glad to have that in my background. Needless to say, she past the arithritis on through my genes at birth. Therefore, I must stick to wearing 3" to 4" chunky, sturdy heels. Dawn HH

  5. JayZee:-) If those are your feet and ankles in your post pic, they sure look great in those spiky heels. How high are they? There was a time when I was able to wear shoes like that, but no more. So my choice must be chunky, blade (flatback) or block heels between 3" and 4" height. I need all the sturdiness I can get for my arithritic ankles and knees at my age. Dawn HH

  6. High Heeled Sub:-) Have been driving in heels quite a few times recently, but doing house chores (vacuuming dishes, etc.)-- haven't tried that yet. I do watch tv in heels and I'm wearing heels now as I answer this post. I have on my Harley-Davidson (Female) Biker calf-high boots with a 3.25" block heel as I'm typing away now. I have slept nights in panties, pantyhose, bra, girdle, slip, and Penwoir and nightgown set many times, but not recently, and never in heels. BTW, the biker boots are black leather. I have a question--- might be off-topic a bit--- Are those your legs in your walking avatar on your post in those spike knee-high boots? How high is the heel? Dawn HH

  7. My biggest high heel thril was probably the first time I decided to go to a Halloween party completely dressed as a woman. This was the first time that I was outside in 4" spike heels and also the first time for driving in high heels. I can't describe to you the thrill of walking, driving, climbing stairs and curbs that went through my entire body with every step and to hear the click of my heels on pavement was most delicious. All of this with very minamal indoor practice and no outdoor practice at all to that point. Needless to say, my girlfriend at the time and I had an unforgetable time at the party when no one could Identify me until the final unveiling which brought me first prize for the best costume.

  8. By the way---- I forgot to mention to the forum members that I have driven in high heels quite a number of times over a long number of years, most recently to and from fast food places and to the shopping mauls while the wife and I practice my public heel wearing. Dawn HH

  9. I have been in 4 car accidents in the past 9 years, none were my fault as other drivers hit me. Fortunately, I was not wearing heels in all of the above incidences as I was either on my way to work or coming home from work. The police were only involved in one of the accidents as the drivers took care of the other times and went on their ways to contact their respective insurance agents.

  10. Heelfan:- Been wearing heels since about 12 years of age, but never in public except Halloween parties and an occasional late night jaunt around the neighborhood. May let everyone in on the sordid story some day but not now. In November 2003, I had to have my left knee operated on to remove some torn cartilage. Three days after surgery I was back into panties, pantyhose, and heels around the house. Around Thanksgiving the wife and I sat down to discuss the fact that I would like to try freestyling and wearing heels in public. Some bootcut jeans were purchased to go with the boots I already have. We decided to take in a movie so this was my first outing. It being dark in the theatre helped to settle my nerves about being made. Nothing was said to us and no one seemed to notice and everything went well and we enjoyed ourselves. We since have been out a few more times to dinner and the shopping mall. Still no one seems to notice, except one man hurriedly walked past us, glanced at our faces briefly, and continued on his way. I need lots more practice and more support from the good wife. Dawn HH

  11. Hi, Emma:- I am 69 years old and after lurking for over a year and finally deciding that this board is safe of discovering my true indentity, I decided to be brave and start posting. From what I have read over time, I believe I may be the oldest member of this board. If there is anyone older, I sure would like to know. Dawn HH

  12. Bert: Reading your post, I was impressed by the amount of time & effort that it took you to come up with your statistics on your heel collection. Since I don't have a computer with hard drive, etc.I'm not able to accomplish such work. I have been posting with a web-tv & can not perform all the functions that can be done on a computer. For instance. when a pic is behind the small square I can not click on the square and bring the pic up. I don 't have a mouse. I navigate around the screen with 4 different arrows. Only typing with 2 fingers doesn't help either. Stellah: Those are very nice pics that you posted. Are you able to balance & walk in those heels? Probably being the oldest member of this board, I must stick to wearing chunky heels in order to keep my balance & be able to walk on them convincingly. Jeff B: Styles- Pumps & Boots (calf & knee highs) Material- I prefer leather also Color- Black of course (easier to conceal). I'm not brave enough to try colors yet. Heel Height- 3" min - 4" max for now as it might be doubtful that I can go higher in the future at my age. Heel Type- Blade, Flat-Back, and Block (anything chunky) As someone has already said, keep it simple (I don't complicate anything). Dawn HH

  13. I've been vertically challenged all my life at 5'4.5" and as far as I know there is nothing medical to have caused this as my parents were both short also. I am one of the lucky ones who can buy women's heels right off of the shelf. Shoe size is generally 7.5 U.S. and boot size is 8 US. One thing in my favor is if we are ever attacked by another country, I won't have to dig as deep a fox hole! Dawn HH

  14. Bert and Daz--Thanks very much for replying to my post. As you probably have guessed by now, that was my first post ever as I am a new member to any forum. I'm not new to wearing heels as I started at age 12 if I can remember back that far. But that's another story for another time. The wife and I went to a nearby mall this evening so I could practice my Freestyling. I was wearing a pair of women's bootcut jeans with a pair of black leather boots with a 3.5" chunky heel. I had already replaced the heel tips with rubber, but they are still a bit noisy or maybe it's just that I'm sensitive to the sound. On the way into the mall, a man passed us and looked back but didn't say anything and just kept on going. I'm not going to try any higher heels as I'm having a bit of difficulty keeping my ankles straight on these boots. If I don't post properly, please be patient with me being new. Dawn HH
