  1. Since I disagree about the definition of freestyler I decided to weigh in on the topic. First of all women in the so called Western civilization are the total freestylers that is according to me to wear if you wish all apparel from the other isle but be true to your gender. Hopefully that thing will be possible for men in a few hundred years probably - to be accepted socially without any public scorn. To me crossdressers (are there even any female ones???) try to pass as women.

  2. I finally got out in the sun!  I'm sure it's not everyone's cup of tea, but I like it.

It's purely coincidental that it's the same skirt and shoes as last time.  I'm sure that I'll get something else on camera soonish.

That is just my opinion, you may disagree ;).Try a different top - probably not from the men's section, seems too eclectic to me the skirt heels and that t-shirt - I am also a freestyler,do not try to pass as a woman.

  3. I had a day off today so I decided to go to a shopping mall. I wore my blue suedette lace-up courts and showed them off with a navy skirt and grey longline cardigan over a white tshirt. I was also carrying a smart black satchel type bag which isn't in these pictures (but is in two of the later ones).

I've had these shoes for a while, they have a 4" heel and ¼" platform and wide fit so they're pretty comfortable. I walked a fair bit up and down the mall, browsed a few shops, stopped for a coffee, and also tried on some red ballerina flats that were too cute to pass on.

I got a few glances, one smile (that I reciprocated), and I didn't overhear any comments apart from one young lady saying "oh, wow!" to her friend as I walked past a shop as they were coming out. I don't think the "wow" meant I looked amazing, but the tone of her voice didn't sound scornful, more like possible enthusiasm that someone was daring to break fashion conventions and making an ok attempt at it.

Also here are some pictures of the outfit in my previous post - my black suedette knee boots (3½" heel) with a camel/black geometric print midi dress and a black blazer.

And another outfit I wore to a cafe recently - oatmeal courts with a black biker jacket over a black floral bodycon dress.

As I've said before, it's fun to be more adventurous sometimes and I'm still "sir" in a dress or skirt. It makes it seem pretty trivial when I revert to wearing my heels with the usual jeans and shirt.

Great outfits - I like all of the three :rocker: .

  4. Thanks bluejay, JeffB, and Logjam!

After a long day working yesterday, I put in a full evening working at home today.  I've ordered a few pairs of heels online over the past couple days, including a pair of 4.5 inch pumps, so I wanted to give my ankles a nice stretch to get them ready for when they arrive.  This lead me to wear my 5" Renetti Bonni spectator pumps along with a black skirt and patterned shirt.  Sheer Energy pantyhose in suntan today, as with all the pictures in my previous post.  Surprised how much I liked this shirt with the skirt.  Got through about seven hours of walking and sitting but my legs sure know that I was wearing the higher heels today.

Lime15 you can try a shorter tailored shirt with this skirt and heels ;).

  5. Jaunt #206, 11/2/2013:

My, my! What kooky weather we've been having! Even though the calendar says early November, temps reached into the upper 60's, even low 70's for a brief period, so, with that in mind, I headed out on a jaunt, sans jacket, garbed in a black, scoop neck t-shirt from JCPenney, the Canyon Blues denim pencil skirt from Sears, the Payless "Jefferson" buckle wedge pumps and a black handbag. Having started my seven straight month wearing only skirts on my outings this year, I continue to feel at ease and comfortable in my garment of choice while it had been awhile since I wore the Jefferson wedges, and they look just as good with a skirt of any length as ever. Oh yeah, I also added the necklace I had worn with the dress on my 200th jaunt which I thought matched well with the shirt.

My first stop was downtown where I had to tap an ATM for spending money, having parked right across the street from a machine, I earned some turned heads as I crossed the street which I didn't mind. Next was my favorite comic book shop a few blocks down, I had to park a full block away, I didn't mind that since I got to enjoy a good walk so I could be seen, and since the skirt I wore was nice and snug and emphasized my rear end, I put a little wiggle in my walk, you have no idea how good that felt. I even managed to surprise an older gentleman who was ahead of me on the sidewalk as I passed him by as the shoes were rather quiet, and while I normally like my heels to be so loud I can be heard a block away, I liked the stealthy nature of these shoes. Following an uneventful twenty or so minutes in the store, I returned to my store and drove across the bridge into South Jersey.

It was around 12:30 when I arrived at Chick-Fil-A for lunch. Hopping out, I headed right in where I earned a few more stares from diners while I placed my order, including kids who always stare and gape, and this restaurant had a play area for kids, so I got stares from them. After I ate, I headed for Barnes & Noble and spent well over half an hour reading sci-fi and anime magazines before heading to the register with the Blu-Ray version of Volcano, one of my many cinematic guilty pleasures. From there, I headed to Home Depot, my last stop of the day as I needed to buy 9 volt batteries for my smoke detectors at home since we turn the clocks back tonight, and I always change the batteries the morning after Daylight Savings Time. I got a couple of stares there too, but that was no big deal as I expect to be ogled at when wearing a skirt. I accepted that and moved on.

Another enjoyable outing without stress or strife, but then, I never experience that anyway. Meanwhile, to everyone reading these words of wit(?), don't forget to turn your clocks back tonight!

Great outfit, the top is perfect ;).

    JAUNT #200, 9/29/2013

As promised, for my 200th jaunt (hard to believe I've been at this for as long as I have), I hit the road in a dress for a fairly short, but enjoyable outing as the sports fan in me had to get back in time to file this report so I can sit down to watch my Eagles do battle with Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos. The dress in question came from Sears and was a sleeveless chiffon dress with a sheer open front jacket. When I saw this on the rack, I fell in love and bought it right on the spot, and it fit like a dream when I got back home. It had a level of style, beauty and elegance that I liked, and, more importantly, it looked good on me. Also, it marked the first time I wore something that wasn't a solid color, which could be seen as pushing the envelope, as was the entire outfit, this was something bold and dynamic, but I was eager to give it a try. I paired my dress with the newly bought Payless "Janine" black patent pumps, off-black pantyhose, a black handbag, and a nice matching necklace. Words fail to describe how good it felt to wear that outfit, and it felt perfectly natural to wear that dress too.

My outing was to center city Philadelphia and the Museum of Art which I figured would be the perfect place to wear my dress. After arriving and parking in the garage, I hopped right out, feeling not the least bit anxious or nervous about what I was wearing, and that's the key to this whole business, feeling comfortable and at ease, if you fail and that, you're going to give off bad vibes that people around you pick up, and suddenly, they wonder what's going on with you. But in my case, it was no big deal to wear a dress and heels, and I acted that way as I strolled to the entrance to the museum, the three inch heels of the Janine pumps good and loud. I did get a couple of odd looks here and there as I entered since there was a good crowd inside for an early Sunday afternoon, but I acted just like every over patron who enjoys taking in the wondrous art that the museum had to offer, and I took my time (relatively), strolling throughout the building. Several people gaped and stared and did double takes, thought I heard a giggle but wasn't sure, but no one made a scene, however, there was a positive moment when in the European art section, an older lady came up to me, smiling and one said, "Excuse me, I never thought I'd say this to a man, but I love your dress! It looks fabulous on you. And your shoes are terrific!"

I think I blushed, never expecting compliments which I don't get often, but I smiled back and thanked the lady for her kind words, she said she was amazed I looked so at ease in my ensemble and complimented me for being bold before she left, wishing me a great day. That was pretty darn cool to say the least. I would spend another hour and a half, slowly strolling about, the Janine pumps very comfortable for prolonged standing and walking before the time came that I had to leave and get back home. And that was my experience, proving that a man can indeed look good in a dress if he does everything just right. Now I'm eager to wear more dresses because of how great it felt to wear them, and I know I have what it takes to pull it off. And my evolution as a fashion freestyler continues. Now to finish this post and go watch my Eagles in action!

Indeed the outfit serves well the purpose to mark the 200th jaunt.Well done,my friend!

  7. Thanks for your comments guys. More adventures this week, and a passing tourist kindly took this "out-and-about" photo of me.

    post-12051-0-42905400-1377125546_thumb.j

This dress and jacket is a summer outfit I've been wanting to try for a while, and I was really excited to match it up with my new wedge sandals. I was called "sir" by the cashiers at a sandwich shop and a cafe, which I like because it means the "guy in heels" message is getting across. Other than that just a couple of brief glares from upper-middle-aged women tourists, who I can only presume were jealous that I was basking in femininity while they slopped around in their leisure wear! I usually get my most positive reactions from well-dressed women who are confident and whose femininity doesn't feel the slightest bit threatened by something as trivial as a guy in heels.

    Wow,you look great!
  8. Jaunt #195, 7/27/2013:

Unlike last Saturday which was godawful hot and humid, today wasn't nearly as bad, so I hit the road on a new adventure, and I decided to go as casual as I could, wearing a Basic Editions lace trimmed tank top in black from K-Mart, a 15 inch I Heart Ronson denim skirt from JCPenney, the Payless "Cori" wedge flats and my favorite black handbag. This would be something of an experiment as this would be a longer outing in a tank top, something I rarely wear, but I wanted to branch out form polo shirts and campshirts and thought this would make for a nice change of pace. As for the skirt, even though it's rather short, because I'm wearing it under the tank without a belt, letting it sit at my natural waist, it looks longer than it really is. Along with the flat shoes, I thought it made for a typically casual outfit a girl or woman might wear on a lazy, late July Saturday. And, yes, I felt perfectly casual and at ease in this outfit as well.

However, I will admit to being a tad self-conscious at first as I headed out, not about the skirt, I've been wearing minis regularly for some time now (I'm finding it difficult to wear anything longer than 17 inches, must be because of the summer heat) and have no trouble showing off my legs, rather, it was the concept of showing off my arms and upper torso in the tank. I wasn't bothered by the lace trim, in fact, that was what led me to buy it in the first place, but being so used to wearing shirts with sleeves, going without was something of a shock, however, I slowly came to adapt. My first stop of the day was to my local comic book shop downtown, as usual, finding a parking spot was a chore, and it took some twenty minutes to do so, a whole block away. Irksome. No matter, it allowed me to enjoy a bit of a walk, and to be seen, I was seen my motorists and passersby, but no one made a scene over how I was dressed. I spent a good twenty minutes in the shop, today I yakked with the staff about The Wolverine which I had seen on Friday and liked a lot.

From there, it was off to the greater northeast and Parx Casino as I had another $75 worth of free slot play to use before the end of the month. Entering the casino, I was reminded of the perils of having one's arms uncovered in an air conditioned space as I was positively chilled when I entered. BBRRRRR! After having lunch, I went about spending my slot dollars, I hardly broke the bank (only playing one penny machines), but I did manage to leave the place after close to an hour with a smidgen over one hundred bucks from the new Wizard of Oz machine. Not too bad, I can use that for grocery shopping on Sunday. Back in the car, I roamed over the Ben Franklin Bridge and into South Jersey where my last stop of the day was at Barnes & Noble. After parking, I was on my way to the store when three young black females drove by, pointed at me and laughed out loud. Tsk! How rude, but I just ignored them. I would spend little over half an hour in the store, happily roaming the magazine and video aisles before leaving with a couple of manga titles.

The casual approach I effected came off quite nicely I thought, with the exception of those three young boors, I was able to go out and about without raising a stir. Heaven knows I've seen women dress lots more provocatively, especially when it came to wearing short shorts that leave absolutely NOTHING to the imagination, I also saw a few, how shall I say it....plumpish women wearing tight shorts and tight tops and displaying the dreaded muffin top. URGH! And that's why I go out of my way to look the very best I can on my outings, no way would I consciously choose to embarrass myself while in public.

Nice outfit Jeff!Really impressed how you wear the top!
  9. After all, women are not afraid to express a masculine side and many women are ecourage to do it. A lot of women wear very masculine shoes like combat boots and other styles. In fact, all men's shoes styles are available for women. Women that express a masculine side are called Tomboys, but unfortunately there is no such work for a male that expresses a feminine side because males are strongly discouraged from doing this. I hope that more and more members of this site will own the fact that they wear feminine shoes and are expressing internal feminity when doing so, and will be honest in interactions with others.

Well said all of it,and this is applied to all fashions, not just shoes.
  10. It's been a long while since I had a chance to get out and travel. But the opportunity presented itself today! I am actually writing about this while I travel. So there isn't much to report.

    The outfit

    1) black aldo ankle boots

    2) black ladies dress pants

    3) white ladies dress shirt

    4) grey ladies blazer/coat

    5) black camera/sholder bag

    And now for some pics!

Not a bad attempt - keep developing your style.
  11. I realize Christmas was a month ago, but I haven't been able to heel and dress freely at home since my mother-in-law has extended her visit with us. My wife got me a skirt and heels as a gift and I was finally able to wear it while fixing up a condo we rent out. The skirt is from the Loft, and the heels are from Aerosoles. The pictures were taken using my cell phone camera in poor lighting. The condo doesn't have many over head lights in it. Just wanted to share.

Great look so far,but is it possible to see the top also - to get a thorough idea of the outfit.
  12. I have been wearing my heels out and about these last few weeks, I just haven't been posting about it as I didn't have photos to include. So, I recreated some of the outfits I've worn recently:

    post-12051-0-09006800-1358473277_thumb.j

    • A much bolder look than I'd normally wear, but I wanted to push the boat out and have some fun. I got quite a few looks but certainly no smiles, and it felt like people were quite disapproving (to which I'd say "lighten up, it's just fashion"). I wore this outfit to a museum cafe, though I did wear jeans and flat shoes walking to/from there (partly because it was just more practical but also a little apprehension).

    • I was so excited when I bought these shoes, I didn't want their debut to be hidden under trousers. People were definitely noticing the shoes, and despite my expecting that maybe someone might ask "are they hard to walk in?" nobody said anything all day.

    • My previous pair of red shoes were too tight, but when I tried these on in the store they fit great, and they were £13 in the sale so I couldn't resist. I really like the look of shoes (as opposed to boots) with skinny jeans and I'll definitely experiment with similar combinations. (Not that I don't like boots with skinny jeans too).

    • I wore this outfit on the bus when I went to the store to buy the red peeptoes in outfit #3. I was running late and there were schoolkids on the bus who shared a couple of "ohmygod!" remarks between themselves initially but soon moved on to chatting about other things.

    • This is my navy blue courts with navy blue v-neck over a light blue shirt. I've worn several variants of this outfit (like the shirt and v-neck from outfit #2 with brown ankle-boots, and a black-and-white striped shirt under a black v-neck with black ankle boots).

    • I wore these jeans, turtleneck jumper and brown gilet but couldn't decide what boots to wear with it. Maybe my slightly taller dark brown boots with a stiletto heel would've been a good choice too.

    • This was the outfit I wore to the store when I first tried on the shoes in outfit #2 (though I didn't buy them that day). I've also worn this outfit with my flat-heeled dark brown knee boots and it's a look I'm really comfortable with (often with the bag from outfit #4).

    • I wore this outfit to the store on the day I did buy the shoes in outfit #2. On the way there I helped a lady with a pram up the stairs - she was very grateful and seemed not to notice in the slightest what I was wearing.
On reflection the more "feminine" outfits #1 to #4 were fun to wear but they seem to evoke colder reactions, whereas by blending more of an androgynous look with outfits #5 to #8 I find people are far more likely to interact "normally" with me, which feels more like progress. The latter is what I feel more comfortable with so I tend to wear those sorts of outfits 80% of the time, but it's fun to occasionally be more bold and adventurous.

You definately look better in skirted outfits.
  13. Yeah I do but to be fair just because you are a woman doesn't mean you can wear anything without people saying bad things to you. Women get told that clothes makes you look old, aren't you too old to be wearing that, you are the wrong shape for that, you look like a streetwalker, and etc. Everyone who thinks that won't say it to their face same as us but some will think it.

You are right but compared to the attitide towards men this is insignificant. They won't call you gay, assault you physically or verbally or be without a job (unless you go naked) if you are a woman wearing non feminine apparel. So the degree of acceptance of women is muuuuchhhhh higher and if you deny that I disagree.
  14. So yesterday was a fun and interesting day. I've been wanting to debut my blue suedette courts (5" heel, 1½" hidden platform) with a matching blue blouse and tailored black jacket. I couldn't decide between the jacket's matching black trousers (tailored but quite a slim fit with a bootcut which givs them quite a funky look) or a black pencil skirt. In the end I went for the skirt as it'll be plenty cold enough for trousers as the winter sets in, plus I really wanted to show off the shoes (worn with sheer tights) and not just have them peeping out from under trousers I accessorised with some inexpensive silver jewelry - a watch, bracelet, necklace and a couple of rings, and a black satchel-style handbag.

I was passing through Kings Cross train station and had a couple of pleasant encounters. The first was a young lady who came up to me and asked if I work there (I was carrying a folder and I guess I looked quite business like). At first I thought maybe she didn't notice I'm a guy, at least until she'd already started talking to me. On reflection it was probably pretty obvious I'm a guy but what with equal opportunities employment she didn't seem at all phased about approaching me - sure she was a bit embarassed when I told her I don't work there, but I've had that happen when I'm wearing regular guy clothes and she reacted much the same.

The second encounter was near a prominent statue in the station, which features a kissing couple with the woman wearing some rather lovely heels. As I was looking to take a photo of the statue a young lady approached me to ask for directions. As she went to leave I asked her if she wouldn't mind taking a photo of me with the statue. I specifically asked her to make sure she got my heels and the statue's heels. I explained that I have some friends who don't believe I go out dressed like this so I need a photo. She said I looked fabulous which totally made my day. I thanked her and said "so do you" as she turned to leave (she had the most beautiful eyes)... and I have a cool photo.

Great outfit!Wouldn't mind a better resolution/photo.Keep up freestyling!
  15. Wow, sorry for being MIA for a while guys and girls! It's been well over a month since I posted up my last 'happening'.

I recently caught up with a friend of mine as we'd been planning to see each other for a few weeks but it got cancelled last minute due to weather and tiredness on both our parts. We decided to go for dinner at a very nice restaurant near both of us. I wore a plain black long sleeved top, tight khaki paints and my patent cherry red Tony Bianco's :) I got a few looks, the usual glance, but nothing said and I couldn't have cared less anyway as I was there to catch up with my friend, not worry about other people! It was nice and the food was excellent! I'll attatch a couple of pictures of what I had as it's bound to make your mouth water! <3

I decided to go shopping to a place i'd not been to before called Westfield Doncaster. It's a little far from me which is why I hadn't been there before, but wow! definitely worth the drive!

I headed there knowing that there were some high top wedges at the Steve Madden store I wanted to buy. I went in and asked the lovely new assistant for my size in 2 different coloured pairs of these high top wedges. I tried them both on and couldn't decide between the 2, then she informed me that it was 25% off storewide, how could I pass up this opportunity and I bought both pairs! ^_^.

While I was paying for them at the counter I noticed a glittery golden/black wedge heel with a peeptoe and strap across the foot, I had to try them on! She brought out my size once i'd paid for my other wedge high tops. I put them on and looked in the mirror and LOVED them! She then told me they were $110! I almost bought them but since I just bought 2 pairs of shoes I decided i'd restrain myself from getting them.

I then headed to a shop called 'Bardot' as I'd seen earlier in the day a pair of gold jeans I wanted to try. The 2 female assistants helped me out with sizing and I took another pair of jeans into the change room with me, just a more normal lighter blue colour. I tried them on with my new high top wedges and they both complimented me on them and said they'd seen them and wanted to get them for themselves!

They had a pair of black peeptoe heels just sitting outside my changing room and I asked what size they were and if I could try them with these jeans to see what they look like. They were both more than happy for me to try them on and said my calves looked amazing in them :D

I must have spent 30-45mins in the changing room with them bringing me tops/blazers/belts/dresses to try on, I had such a good time with them and they even took a photo of my in an outfit consisting of a dress/belt/blazer I ended up buying for them to send to head office to put in their monthly store newsletter! :)

Here's a selection of pictures to sum up this post! Hope you enjoyed reading :)

The dress and heels suit you perfectly.Keep it up as a freestyler!
  16. Still, if a woman were to appear in a very masculine tux and loafers, it would turn heads. It's more of a "fashion statement," but she can get away with it. When we guys try to wear heels, people start throwing lables at us, like transvestic fetishism. I've been so labled, even though I very rarely head out in public wearing anything other than jeans, a shirt, and either sneakers or hiking shoes.

I've seen similar thing in my country and hardly there were any reactions - about the tux and so on.About the "fashion statement"and the trans.... bullsh*t you are correct in your notions.People seem to perceive things thus way, stereotypes I guess.About men- the gay stereotype also is very strong.
