Does anyone know the URL of Tube (a shoe manufacturer, maybe in Brazil)? Or the URL of an online shop where some pictures can be found? I recently bought a pair of boots from Tube at Silhouette, and as I still don't have a digital camera or scanner, I can't share them with you until I find some online pictures. BTW I found Tube is one of the manufacturers that have a reasonable size shaft, they fit perfectly! Too bad Bronx has mostly boots with very wide shafts... Lion

I also wear 4" daily, in fact all of my shoes except one pair are 4" or higher. What amazes me though is that some 4" boots I have feel higher than 4", this sure is the case with my 2 pairs of Tube boots. They both are 4", but definately feel higher, and the placement of the heel or heel-type are not an explanation. Lion

HighLuc, Yes, that's full-time and also at work. Mostly I wear my Me Too 4" block heel boots, and depending on the customer I have to go to also my Bronx 4" blade heel boots. And yes I had some bad comments on my 4" semi-stilletto over-the-knee boots from Silhouette, but that was at a customers' site and they are now condemned to see me only in block heels... Lion

Well, it has been some time since I posted here. I had some very busy times and some bad luck too. In one of my last posts I anounced my wife was pregnant, but unfortunately she got a miscarriage after 10 weeks. We both needed some time to cope with that. But the good news is she is pregnant again for about nine weeks now. We already had our first echo and this time all seems good for now. Of course I'm still walking around in my heels, haven't worn anything lower than 4" on a single day. My collection is also growing, I must have around 16 pairs now. The last pair I bought together with my wife at Silhouette, a pair of black kneehigh Tube boots with a 11cm semi-stilletto heel. Nel told me to give her greetings to you all. I originally went there to buy me a pair of Bronx Becky boots, but they didn't have them I my size, so I ordered them at shoe-shop.com. Sure hope they aren't backordered and I expect them in about two weeks. The odd thing however is that my feet seem to have become smaller, the last three pairs are all a size 40, and before it was always 41. Maybe a result of wearing heels for a year or so now? I the mean time I visited the forum regularly, keep on posting! I read them all. Still haven't heard any news about a EuroHeel 2002? Will there be one? If so, please let me now, I'll sure try to be there and meet you guys again! How are you anyway, Firefox, Xaphod, HighLuc and Jeff? Please let us know... Well, that's it for now, let's have those reply's! Lion

I called Bronx in The Netherlands last Friday, unfortunately they weren't very helpfull. Some lady told me to go the larger shoestores, Brantano, Invito or Sacha... I'll let you know if a locate a pair.

Great story! And another guy out in the open! If we continue at this rate in about a year everyone will take second glances at guys wearing flats. You'll soon discover that chunky (block) heels are no problem at all for public wear. I also regularly wear blade heels (4") and they too are no problem at all. I guess the limit for guys is stilletto's, done that once and it wasn't a great success..

I had a discussion about this on my last visit to Silhouette. The older man there (I suppose he's the owner) told me the only correct way is to measure the heel height from the center where the heel rests straight down (and substract the platform from the point where the ball of the foot rests).

Could anyone in the U.S. please help to buy these boots in black, size 11:

I tried to order these myself, but unfortunately they don't ship to Europe. Would someone please order them and ship them over to me. I'll pay all costs of course.

These haven't arrived in Scandinavia yet and I don't dare to buy them online. Which company did you order them from? Some Bronxes fit me like a glove, but other ones are 3 sizes too small (all in 41).
I ordered them at http://www.bronx-shoes.com/. These new boots are gonna travel quite a lot because Bronx's are designed in Waalwijk, The Netherlands (in fact 20km from where I live), produced in Brazil and I ordered them online in the US!
About the shafts: you must be quite skinny since for me they are usually on the limit. Sometimes I can't even get them closed.
What do you call skinny? My lenght is 1.75m and my weight is 68kg. By my looks I don't consider myself skinny, but indeed below the knee my legs aren't too wide. But judge for youself:
In this picture I'm wearing Bronx Janine boots (kneehigh, size 41 with a 4" blade heel)
BTW Nice collection you got!

I really can't imagine why people think you'll have to squeeze in your toes in those boots. I already have two pairs of Bronx with a similar styled nose, but absolutely no problems concerning the fit. In fact, they fit great! Highluc, once again here are the images of my over-the-knee boots: <A HREF=http://www.xs4all.nl/~router/Silhouette_over_knee_front.jpg>Over the knee boots bought at Silhouette, front</A> <A HREF=http://www.xs4all.nl/~router/Silhouette_over_knee_back.jpg>Over the knee boots bought at Silhouette, back</A> _________________ lion <font size=-1>[ This Message was edited by: lion on 2002-04-01 00:22 ]</font>

This sure is a picture suited for Highluc. If you want to know how he is in real life, this is it. And for Jeff, although maybe not looking too happy in his picture, this is a hell of a guy. He's got this quietness about him, but is a great person to know. I consider him one of my best friends, although I only met him about 3 or 4 times. Jeff, stay around and let us enjoy you being here...

Calv. Well, I guess the heels helped me. I certainly feel much more aroused wearing them, well this is the result! I really don't care if it's a girl or a boy. They both can wear heels if they want to (after reaching the proper age that is). Oh god, this really is happyness...

...in about 7 months :
Yep, my wife is pregnant! She's about 2 months on the way now, so we'll expect our little lion cub around the end of october.

Just ordered some new boots online for the first time. Here they are:
They are from Bronx, model Britney with a 4" heel. Can't wait till they arrive!
Seems like I'm becoming a serious Bronx collector, these are going to be my third pair of Bronx. I like the toe and heels shapes of Bronx very much, too bad the shafts are always a bit on the wide side. Well, never mind, because I always wear them under 32" jeans. And a bit more room in the shaft for the odd occasion when I want to wear them over my jeans won't do any harm.
See ya!
P.S. Highluc, I like your new thigh highs very much! B.T.W. You wrote I got the same pair, but mine are different (although you got the size correct, 40).

This sure is a good start for what we call a 'smoelenboek' in Dutch. So here's my contribution:
This photo was taken at Jeff's place and shows how I walk around daily.

I don't post very often around here, but I must strongly agree with Trolldeg over here. I don't have any women's shoes, just shoes (or rather boots) with high heels. Let's start to quit calling high heeled shoes womens shoes. That's what this forum is all about.

Debby, I've been admiring your pictures for a few months now....they are great! You're indeed a very, very classy lady. Could you please take some pictures suitable for a desktop wallpaper? I've tried to edit some of your pictures, but no success... Maybe some pictures of your legs and shoes on a plain dark background? Lion (a great Debbie fan)

Equadox, I've been wearing heels in public for only a few months now, 4" block and blade heels. At first I walked around in 34" jeans which left only about 1" of heel visible. I used those jeans as a tool to build more confidence. Now I go around in 32" jeans which show all of the heel, and I personally think this looks better. Maybe a better way to 'hide' your heels is to wear jeans the same color as your shoes (black I presume), this tends to 'camouflage' your heels. After about a month you'll find you're much more confident in blue jeans showing all of the heel. And never mind that one bad day when you got a few laughs, those people don't have that second brain cell (next to the other one they use to breathe) to realize heels look good on men too.
-
Terayon, You're exactly describing the feelings I had watching myself in high heel boots in the mirror. They sure do look good on men too! Any news about your mom's reaction? Can't wait to hear it!
-
I definately don't like platforms, that is platforms higher than 1 cm. Although I have to admit my first pair of heels had a 3cm platform...Don't wear them anymore now.

My favourite store has to be Silhouette in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. It's really high-heel-heaven and the personel is fantastic too.

Well, as some of the guys are at the UK Heel 2002 and I couldn't be there, I decided to do my own Micro Dutch Heel 2002 at Silhouette's. Went there early this morning and bought two pairs. One pair black over-the-knee boots with a 11cm heel (somewhere in between a blade and stilletto) size 40 and a pair of black pumps with a 12cm heel size 42. I was helped perfectly and had a nice chat. Sorry, can't post pictures of them yet as I don't have digital camera...

Well, it depends. Had very much interest in heels from about my teenage years, but never had my own heels. Until I joined the EuroHeel2001, where I kinda exploded. Started wearing heels right from there in public and haven't been off them since then. Nowadays I walk around in public everywhere (including work) on 4" kneehigh boots, even a pair with blade heels. Guess the next step is 5" thigh high boots...
buying heels for your partner

Last week, celebrating the first echo of my pregnant wife, we went shoe-shopping and of course ended up at Silhouette in Rotterdam. I had a great time trying on some boots, and having my wife comment on them. She even thought that a pair of very pointed high-heeled stilletto boots looked more elegant on me than a pair with block heels. In the end I decided to buy a pair of semi-stilletto boots from Tube, worn them every day since. Nothing beats shoe-shopping with your wife in a store where they are accustomed to a man in heels Lion
