  1. HighLuc, Don't ever appologize to anyone for something you believe in. After all it was me asking you to wear a skirt to slow you down. Well, I'm off to work now and wearing the first pair of Tube boots I got. I'm taking my new Hex boots with me also and see if I can give them some public wear today. Lion

  2. Well, in Rotterdam I've never had so many stares and comments than ever before. Main reason for that was HighLuc wearing an ankle-length skirt and of course high heels. His look was very coordinated (at least it was to me), but society (or Rotterdam) sure is not ready for that. People pointing and laughing very loud, comments, a whole shop staff bursting out in laughter (Sacha). I also made some comments to people who were making comments, just to piss them off. I told them: "Easy isn't it, laughing at people." You should have seen those red tomato faces. The only thing that kept me back from inserting my 4" blade heels into their asses, is the whole fuzz about useless violence nowadays in Holland. Let's start a new state somewhere with an apartheid system. Only free-minded heelies allowed and leave the flatties to creep around in the dust licking our heels. Lion

  3. On the last mini EuroHeel 2002 (1,2 and 3 november 2002) I bought these Hex boots in Hasselt, Belgium:

Sorry for the bad quality (purple haze), but this is due to HighLuc's hangover... :drinking:

These sure are some extreme boots (very pointed noise and triangular heel), but I'm gonna give them some public wear anyway (I'll keep you posted on that).

The strangest thing happened when I got back from the EuroHeel meeting.... I went to my wife's parents place and showed them to my wife and her parents. Wife said she didn't like the pointy nose, but she liked the shape of the heel. Meanwhile I put off my Bronx boots I was wearing. Before I knew it my father in law was parading up and down the room in the new Hex boots and my mother in law was trying on my Bronx boots! You should have seen me and my wife's faces! :( In fact he told us he liked them, but would need some practice managing the heels. My mother in law liked my Bronxes too, and found them to be very comfortable

These sure are great people, and they fully accept me wearing heels. A great relief after the Rotterdam experiences today (Sunday), who weren't that positive :)

BTW these are the new Tube boots, who kind of started the mini EuroHeel:

  4. I've been annoyed the last two months about those Belgium keyboards. I was working on a project at a customer's site in Antwerp. At last I brought with me some Dutch keyboard to make life bearable  Well, I'm off packing my boots and stuff... Cu qll tollorroz... Lion

  5. - been at work since 0500 today.

    Calv

I presume you mean 05:00 AM? Get a life! I'd get a heart attack getting up that early! :( Sure hope your boss pays overtime...

Can you PM your GPS co-ordinates please on WGS84 datum (means nothing to me but Xaphod understands it!)

    Calv

It figures for Xaphod, I suspect the guy has antennas built into his heels and hat.

Cu on Saturday morning (but not at 05:00 AM)

  6. I don't know where HighLuc and the UK guys want to go to. But here are my suggestions (to maximize shopping time): - Friday (when I won't be there): Eindhoven, Breda in the Netherlands - Saturday: Hasselt, Brussels, Antwerp in Belgium - Sunday: Rotterdam in the Netherlands (Silhouette of course and other shops) (all shops in the main street are open on every Sunday in Rotterdam) Lion

  7. My wife says all shops are open on friday, so no problems there. The good news is I can stay until Sunday evening (although I'll not be making it too late). See you guys on Saturday morning Lion P.S. Highluc, what would you expect me to wear? Of course I'll be wearing boots!

  8. Calv, That sure would be great if you and Xaphod could come over! Please contact Highluc about everything 'cause I guess it's his place where we sooner or later all will end up. It's a shame Jeff can't make it. This sure is going to look like a mini-EuroHeel 2002! Don't worry about the beer, there's plenty of it in Belgium! Lion

  9. 1. What are earliest favorite songs/bands? - In the very beginning it was Michael Jackson, when I was 13 I got over that and afterwards it was Iron Maiden and Anthrax. 2. What do you listen to these days - Pink Floyd, Roger Waters, Ramms+ein, Fleetwood Mac, Bad News, Iron Maiden, Metallica 3. Over the years who are "all time favorites" an why? - Pink Floyd, just listen to The Wall and you'll know. 4. Rolling Stones or Beatles? (sort of 2 ultimate bands... got choose 1 or other) - This one's easy, The Stones of course Lion

  10. Well, I intend to drive on my own to Highluc's place. I hope to arrive there somewhere between 9:00 and 10:00AM. I think we will do the photo-session thing in the morning. So GJ, if you want to join the photoshoot come over in the morning. I expect we will go shopping somewhere around 1:00 or 2:00AM. Highluc, I will be alone, and if it's OK with you, I'll leave Sunday at 11:30 AM... Lion

  11. Highluc, At what time can I come over on Saturday? If you don't mind  I'll bring the whole lot of my collection with me for a photo session. Just reply here, or send me an E-mail... Be sure to lock up those pale Bronx boots, or I'll buy them  Lion

  12. OK, the weekend of 2 november it is. I'll consult my wife if she can survive a night without me, if it's OK with you if I sleep over. That way I can enoy my favorite beverage (BEER), while having one of our famous heels-evenings (the EuroHeels guys know what I mean). How about me coming over on saturday somewhere in the morning and then plan what will we do? Why not invite some of the other guys (GJ, Jeff f.e.)? If that's ok with you of course. See ya, lion

  13. what du you base that on?

we think different because we are raised different, not because we are physically different.

Indeed we all are different, in fact unique, because we are raised differently (I agree), meet different people, and have different experiences. But that's not my point. My point is men and woman are different because (and I'm drilling down very deep now) we have different chromosomes, different concentrations of hormones etc. Let's not forget we all are just walking chemical plants, and everything influences everything. Thoughts are nothing more than chemical and electric reactions in your brain (the most complex chemical plant there is). That's one of the reasons women tend to think more 'emotional' and men tend to think more 'rational'. And yes, men can be emotional and women can be rational. And please take notice, I'm not thinking gays, transsexuals, crossdressers etc are some kind of 'error' of nature, definately not. It's just that men and women, biological and evolutional, have different 'goals' in life. Fortunaly mankind got enough brainpower to 'overcome' those 'limitations', that's why society is so colorfull nowadays. Now to the point. I think this all explains (at least in part) why women (and men) in general tend to not approve of men in heels.

  14. What do you base that premise on? If they say they like it, how do you know they don't?

In the one year I'm wearing heels now, it often happened that a person said they liked it, and a few hours later while they think I'm not watching/listening make negative comments to another person. I somehow developed a sixth sense for that, and I hear/see more than people think. When I confront them with what they just did, they deny. Of course they deny, would you admit being a liar? Their red faces tell me enough...

Just pay attention to people, and use some tricks. For instance when you leave a room, close the door a few seconds later than people expect, and walk away a bit later than people expect, or suddenly return. You'll be surprised about the things you see or hear....

The world is not as beautifull as we'd like it to be.

  15. I'd rather forget the whole discussing I just read. I advise anyone to do the same. Now my 2 cents: Finally I read some posts in this thread where someone is honest in her/his opinion. Since I started wearing heels I've met very few people who are. In fact many people say to you they don't mind you wearing heels, or say they like it, but they really don't. Maybe this thread was started in order to get general approvement from women. In my opinion we men will never get it. Why? Because men are men, and women are women. Although we all are humans, men and women are physically different and therefore 'think' different. The uttermost we can expect is that people start to respect one another and be honest. But again, we are all humans, and that's probably why it will never be that way... Lion

  16. Hi HighLuc, Great idea getting together agian! I'll see if I can find some time in a weekend, I'll get back to you about that. It sure would be great to catch up, do some shopping maybe in Hasselt and take some pictures of my latest additions! See you, Lion
