Enjoyed watching the Dr. Who 50th Anniversary show this past Saturday.  Watched it at 1:50pm in the afternoon, Central Time (USA). I just realized that this episode was a global simulcast throughout the globe.  It was viewed by millions, and was an episode of epic proportions.  Did anybody else watch the episode on Saturday? Any thoughts about the show?

 

My one thought was that I started watching the show during the Tom Baker years (4th Doctor) and I admired several companions and characters with their high heel boots during the 70s and 80s.  If I were a companion of The Doctor, I would be traveling through time and space in my high heel boots.

 

 

Oh, yes. The first Romana (the late Mary Tamm) was almost always in high heel boots. Beautiful woman, and a tragic loss.

nice boots!!!!!wear them whenever possible! waderboots.jpg waderbootsa.jpg waderbootsb.jpg waderbootsc.jpgI've got a new pair of boots........the boots that I bought from an e..y seller in the U.K. finally arrived.....these were made by the people at the imakebootsngloves.com website......they are a pair of wader boots that actually would come up over my head if I were not as big as I am.....they are folded down and then pulled shiny side up for the pictures.....they are tight in some areas and loose in others but they feel good on me....the 5 1/2 inch heels are a bugger to walk in but I will learn.....I plan on having these altered into a sleeveless bootsuit as there is enough material in height to do so with a zipper up the back.....may get in touch with the manufacturer and inquire about having them made into a total coverage bootsuit with long sleeve gloves and hood/mask to completely cover my head,resulting me being totally covered with no skin showing in shiny black vinyl......here are some pics in various poses....excuse the quality of the pics as I have to shoot my reflection in a mirror to produce the pic.....no expensive camera with self timer or tripod here......enjoy the pics and comments are welcome!

Fortunately, I have several pairs of boots that I've never actually worn "out" so they're like new, anyway. Halloween may be an excuse to finally break them in.

Unfortunately, Rosa Shoes doesn't have similar SIZES. Marziali is one of a handful of custom shops left that offers larger sizes.

Tried the Marziali site online. All I get is a homepage that I can't seem to navigate from.

I admit that I prefer thigh boots. Most of the "knee" boots I have tried fall rather short of my knees (long legs) and look kind of strange on me.
