  1. I have an ancestry with no problems of early hair-loss, instead the family tendence is thick and (not baby) curly hair, so I have found out that either it is (ultra magnum hyper) hair spray or my preferred choice of a "US marine" exremely short hair cut as I am too lazy to spend half the morning in order to look less untidy than Robinson Crusoe... 2. Hi Becky, They sure know and also show their sizes. My impression is that it is a little "house" eager to gain more customers, They are apparently very friendly trying to fulfill all your requests. I can only say that Ernest and (indirectly its employees) wish to have you as a happy customer. Best regards, TallSwede

  3. The yellows *do* look nice! -But are they not giving you pains above the toes after a couple of hours wearing? I ask because a similar design which I have makes all the body weight to be supported by the toe straps and the ankle strap could just as well have been forgotten... Regards, TallSwede

  4. I am a 'puter geek since over 30 years back, and my only addition to what have been said is that *perhaps* your old readers might need cleaning of the scanning head (laser), *but* as a new bought unit also was "fog-eyed" it more sounds like that the disks were not of top quality considering the make and/or the burner which made them. Best regards, TallSwede

  5. I bought a pair of sandals from Ernest. I felt that I had to call to insure that the size really would fit my feet, but they were *very* helpful making someone to run to the stock room and get a pair which could then be measured in all dimensions to my satisfaction prior to the fulfilling of the order. -So I wish that I had the time (and the money) to take a trip to them and enjoy their first-class service eye to eye. Regards TallSwede

  6. JeffB, You are a lucky guy... I *do* hope it stays that way as you really **do** deserve it if all your "stories" are not pure dreamwork (which I do not believe they are (clarification for the mentally challenged readers(if they should exist...)). -Phew, I sincerely hope that I got the structure right now; -In Short, -JeffB is the hero; The readers not getting this should better swallow their tongues while trekking about 1000 miles from the nearest rescue station while trying to get there (and their tongues and fingers surgically removed). -I beg all of your(s) pardon if I am a bit acidic this evening, but some days I can't avoid flaring out (for better or worse). (-I am me(yself)). -Still I hope that all readers will be able to appreciate the spirit I have tried to write this message in... Regards to all of you! TallSwede

  7. Just as a muse on that the opinion changes over time... Crotchhiboots, You made me think back a little... I always considered that a guy with ear rings was ostensibly gay, or perhaps a "sailor", or otherwise eccentric. Then, about 15 years ago, I met my ex'es brother. He was/is not a conformist and has been there, done that (including time...), but I still like him for what he is and believes. -He had gotten himself ear rings, *very* homemade tattoos, and so on, but he was not regretting any of it, and I could not find anything wrong with that. -Soo, I think that today it might still be tougher to show up with 6+6 ear rings than appearing in a pair of HH's in a lot of places, as the ear rings have more or less been accepted during these years. -Kudos to you who wear both! Regards, TallSwede

  8. Nice shoes Trolldeg, But are the criss-cross strapped sandals not (as usual) trying to make the upper front strap get lower and lower until they start to chaff and restrict your movement? -At least I have been hounded by this problem... Best regards, TallSwede

  9. Tahira, I have been scratching my hair until I grew bald... I recognize Dita, but just can't get around the last corner and find the answer. -Please tell me before I peel the skin off too... :D Best regards, TallSwede

  10. My sole underwear are thongs/strings from 2(x)ist since a couple of years. They have a "decent" pouch in the frame beneath the "waistband". On the rear there is a "Y" pair of strings going around to the front part. One thing I would like to point out is that as one does *not* sit on any part of this underwear is that they do not wear out as quickly as other types. (Being a skinny type like me you also appreciate not having your hipbone(?) "riding" across the seam of an "ordinary" piece of underware against an unyielding seat). This type of underwear apparently gives cause for more concern than wearing high heels or nail polish IMHO, so the faint hearted should probably better start wearing 5" stilettoes as an introductory course :D . 11. Smålänningens marknad is a large (about 10.000m2) warehouse that sell most anything at low prices. They have a large clothes and shoe section where they sell a mix of up to date and "out of fashion" stuff. It is situated in the village Bredaryd in Småland between Värnamo and Smålandsstenar, and impossible to miss as it lies along the road and looks like an IKEA building in size. Regards, TallSwede

  12. I was lucky to find a pair of ankle boots (all man made) about a year ago in a surplus outfit called "Smålänningens marknad" and as soon that I found that the stated size (EU) 41 fit my assumedly 43 feet, I asked them to put aside the sibling pair for me until I had the chance to pick them up. This next pair was a bit tighter than the one I got at the first trip, but as I have broken the heels on that pair, who's to complain... -My advice is that you should always check the shoes for a fit (if remotely reasonable) before giving up on a certain model. 13. My memory of the heeled (mostly) boots for the guys in the seventies was that it always was the short ones who sported them (assumedly to try to gain some height), and thus they were quickly labeled as a "tainted" outfit for the rest of the gang... I'd be ashamed to be caught in a pair of heels then, but not now, as times has changed. I find this quite funny really, that when they were a fad I did not want to wear them, but now when they are "strange" I have no qualms about it. -Do note that I was the tallest in my class way back then, so it would be hard to accuse me for wearing heeled boots to gain percieved tallness at that time. 14. I am certainely not a fanatic, simply an admirer of some of their songs, but: (Heavily clipped quote) "Zeppelin forgot about them" ... Stairway to heaven; -Anyone remember that one...? Here I'd have to say that Anita C has made a point, ten years from now, how many will remember a Britney tune compared to (the elder and perhaps fewer still around) who will remember a Led Zeppelin tune??? For us other dinosaurs out there, how about Deep Purples Smoke on the Water, or for a smaller group, Lou Reeds Walk on the wild side. -Not to mention Bowies songlist... -Or Jim Steinmanns, both for himself and the Meat Loaf albums he produced. -As a clincher, how many of you remember Todd Rundgren? -Whew, had to rinse my (lungs) writing fingers, sorry about that...
