To all the fellow Welsh members of the forum - Happy Saint David's Day......and night!! :drinking: Mine's off to a good start........I'm off to do a little bit of clothes shopping........mmmm and maybe some shoe shopping too love Becks.

Those shoes are from a company called leatherworks - the style is called 'Kate' and they retail for £95 with the metal heels or £75 with ordinary leather heels. Metal heels aren't as expensive a some people thing.......thankfully for me as I've bought a couple Becks xxxx

Hi Jay,
I've never bought boots from next, but you may like to try a company called 'Tall and Small' its a company owned by Barratts Footwear http://www.tall-small.com/ aswell as trying Faith.
Best of luck

I've always found Faith to be a very good quality and fit. You'll probably find that the 8uk will be too small for you - especially if its a boot Love, Becks xxxx

Hey j-turbo2002 don't dis the British.
If you've got nothing nice to say about the Brits then say nothing at all!!
You seem to strongly disagree to alot of things but can't seem to come up with your own constructive answers.

Hi Suzy, I saw something like that on a 'caught on camera' show hosted by Lisa Riley - the Bride and Groom both knelt at before the vicar and on each of their soles were the words 'I' and 'Do'.........it brought a smile to my face and it made the guests laugh too Becks xxxx

Oh yes - I almost forgot that lovely residue that collects more fluff than a Dyson hoover Becks xxxx

I don't know if anyone else has had this problem, but whenever I buy a new pair of shoes or boots they usually come with a lovely informative sticky label on the arch of the sole. Now I don't mind this sticky label, but what I do mind is the industrial strength glue they use to keep it stuck to the sole. This invariably means that you can never get it off with one gentle pull and I usually spend ages picking the darn thing off or scrubbing with soapy water.............oh my poor nails One of my pet peeves is seeing women walking around with these sticky labels still attached to the soles of their shoes. Picture the scene......a lady on a business lunch with a few of her colleagues.........she's wearing a very smart tailored skirt suit, sheer hose and expensive shoes..........she crosses her legs and............aaaaargh...............a sticky label screams at you Anyway, enough of me going on. Becks xxxx

Hita Debbie, As you know I too love wearing Fully Fashioned stockings with stiletto heels. I have occasionally worn them to work, but I usually wear them when going out to a trendy wine bar or a night out with my girlie friends. I usually team them with a pair of 5½" mules or sandals as this really shows off the heel to the fullest effect
-
Hiya Yamyam, I think that's one of the main problems when buying shoes online - you can't try them on and you're not sure if they're going to be ok when they eventually turn up. But when they do turn up and I start to slowly open the box I get quite excited and its like my Birthday all over again
-
I'd definitely wear stiletto heels to an interview, but I wouldn't wear anything about 4" as I'd feel it wasn't appropriate. For some reason I still feel as though there's a stigma attached to a woman that wears say 5" or even 6" heels out and about - either to work or just shopping. I myself have disapproving looks off female colleagues when I've worn my 5½" courts to work, so I think that wearing them to an interview would be out of the question
-
Hi Polly,
If you're happy with 4" heels then leatherworks could be for you. They have four heel heights: 4", 5½", 7" and 7" with a platform, so you're spoilt for choice
Have a little look at their website and see what you think.

Oh Bubba...........you're too kind - you're making me blush now
Hiya Sandalslover,
'RHT' stockings is an acronym for 'Reinforced Heel & Toe' stockings just like 'FF' stockings means 'Fully Fashioned' stockings. Here's a little piccy of a pair of RHT stockings - they look gorgeous with a pair of sandals or slingbacks
-
Hi Polly,
Have you tried any footwear from leatherworks? I find they have an exceptionally high level of workmanship and quality in materials used - the leather is very soft indeed. I'm slowly building up my collection - I already have 12 pairs..........but I've only got another 28 to go
One of the pairs of shoes that I'll be ordering this month are these - a 5½" 'Peep Toe' slingback in cream leather
-
Actually I quite like wearing slingbacks - they're a sort of a 'half way house' between sandals and courts, and they're great for showing off my RHT stockings
I bought these a few months ago from leatherworks - only the ones I had were plain leather.

I like the contrast of the silver toe cap and silver heels on those knee high boots Stellah - where did you get those from? I have a pair very similar - 5.5" metal heels in matt black kidskin leather, but without the toe cap
