I have. Worn only 4 to 5 1/4  inch heels for over 25 years, it has been some years since I have not been able to wear under any that are at least 3 3/4 inch non plats with out a lot of calf pain,  my exercise and walking sneakers are wedge platform type I only have 3 pair left they are hard to find in size 10! My Plats which I have many of are all 6 to 9 inch and some Fetish Club shoes are A 10 inch heel!

I try to wear and walk in my ballet boots at least 4 to 5 times  week even go outside in them!

At this point I am in ballet boots 90% of the time including going to work.  What is the longest you have worn your ballet boots for?  I stretch my feet daily so I’m not “stuck in heels”.

The way that high heeled footwear has affected my personal life is twofold, and they are completely different concerns:

    1) Like one of the above posters mentioned, I have often caught myself wasting a lot of time not completing necessary physical tasks because I don't want to change out of heels. This problem has been largely alleviated with my purchase of Doc Marten boots with a 3 1/2" wedge heel. These allow me to do pretty much any activity, be it mowing the lawn or shoveling snow, in heels. Also, they are casual enough and subtle enough that I don't feel like I have to completely clean up and dress up to wear them out. I won't wear "normal" high heels out unless I'm quite presentable.

    2) I will admit it, I give women who wear heels on a regular basis a little extra credit where maybe it's not deserved. This point was driven home with some force this week, when I realized I was accepting behavior from someone in my life that I really should not accept just because I like to see her in heels. It is not the first time it has happened, and she is not the first person it has happened with. I aim to make sure it is the last. High heels are nice to look at, but they are not worth extending courtesies and favors to those who really don't deserve them.

I've shoveled snow and mowed lawn in ballet boots before.

    I'm a bit of a Latex person...

Latex socks and stockings look and feel great for an hour or so. Then your foot slides down in them, and they become like a vice around your toes that can't be loosened without removing them because of the vacuum.

It's a great thought, but not practical, if that's your goal.

Ive worn latex for hours.  Yes it does get tight but that's the point.  Unfortunately i just haven't found ankle socks, only higher socks.

  4. They do if sized improperly or are really cheep.  I can weAr quality heels a long time without them hurting.  If they cause blisters they arnt fitting correctly.  IMO if the shoe fits right there shouldn't be any movement on your foot.  Now yes some extrame heels that bend your toes might ache a little, but you get used to it with regular stretching.

  5. I loved wearing flip flops before I was 18.  Since then I've always been required by husband to wear shoes that cover my feet.      I do however like the ide of heels flip flops and the sexy anckle strap.  I'd love to show off my cute feet I then if allowed.  Girls with foot problems shouldn't wear but I like seeing s girls bare feet if they are pretty.

  6. I didn't think asking about socks would be considered fetish.  Tights, socks and other garments are asked about on this forum all the time.  We don't want to wreck my nice boots when my feet sweat so latex will keep the boots dry.  Not a fetish reason at all although given some of my other post I can see how once might think that though.

  7.  My husband wants me to buy latex socks to wear under my high heel boots some times.   He wants them to be "no-show" height.   I can only find ones that are taller.    Do any of you where latex socks and know where to purchase short ones?

    Thanks,

    Charlotte

I think it could be possible put an ankle strap in this style, would not be much cost and would be so difficult, we could do it without problems.

That has a lip behind the heel that helps them stay on.  It's no longer a clock if you add a strap

That is not too dissimilar to things that have been done with ski boots. I expect you could probably design and make such a boot, but I suspect your market would be fairly small and so unit costs would be quite high.

I have a good job… I'm not really concerned with making it profitable… I'm more just want to make some fun toys to be used on me and people I know

  10.  I've thought of designing a metal boot that had latex airbags on the inside.  These would be inflated by compressor fitting In Heel after they are put on.  The inflated bags inside the shoe would be quite thin to prevent making the shoe to big, but I think that could stabilize the foot while allowing a little bit of flex.

For your information Xtremhigh heels in Spain make wonderful clogs. Very high and nice shape.

I have ordered one pair for me.  But to wear at home only. Because you are right, they don't strap securely

    Do you have a link?

  12.  The question is could you ever design something perfect enough and tight enough that it wouldn't move while the wearer walks?    If so the shoe could be designed with no padding and just bare metal … But I wonder if that is possible.

You would also need some kind of hinged entry around the ankle.   I don't think anyone could actually put on the shoe in the original post

Could you wear this shoe? I myself couldn't. I just got a pair of ballets not that long ago and can not stand in them let alone walk in them "not yet anyways" and they have a thin heel which one can put a little weight on. Don't get me wrong, I love this shoe and would love to own it just because, but I do not think I could ever walk in them. Could you? This shoe has a 7.5" heel and comes in sizes 5-14.

I could easily but my husband only lets me wear shoes that cover my foot like boots.

  14.  I really need to make friends with a shoe maker… In general people with experience to run a 3-D printer don't have the experience of actually making a comfortable heel.   But if I use my experience  and a shoemakers expertise we could probably come up with something as cool as the original post, but haven't actually work.

Seven years ago I tried to get my hand surgeon to let me "print" a replacement for a bone in my hand using a type of plastic that cartilage can attach to. He wouldn't  let me do it, removed the bone and gave me  Experimental Operation #3. I wish I had been allowed to try it.

In the US there's too many lawsuits for surgeon to try and unorthodox treatment. If you go out of this country you may of been able to try it.   I heard of someone with a 3-D printed hip,  but it was deemed experimental and the patient had to sign a mile of paperwork to get it done.

I'd like to 3-D print some sort of foot stretcher.    I think this would be easier than a shoe because the structure would only hold one position and not move or be walked on

Never been locked in a pair of heels or boots before, but I have been asked to remove my HH boots before boarding to "ensure mine and other passengers safety."

Were you required to walk barefoot for the whole flight or could you put them back on?

Got it now... slow on the uptake. You have mentioned rock climbing and mountaineering in other threads and I thought for some reason you were training in heels. I agree heels look way cooler than sneakers!

Rock climbing and hiking are done in the proper footwear.
