I am pretty sure I had those.
I've never found pleaser boots fun to walk in.
I love the look... but seem to be more designed for style than function.
You could take them in a bag somewhere and put them on after you got to the location if you want to avoid the hills.- 3

I love these so much!!!! What are they?
privileged shoes
Starlet
Got them at DSW in the clearance rack. They are $90 on the Privileged website, but were around $25 in the store.
4.5 inch heel
Very comfortable. Though I don't generally like toes as pointed as these are. -

Good to see you are still making progress.
A little background, I bought my first pair of "heels" that were 1 1/8 inches high on a size 10 Mary-Jane style with 3 individual straps across the instep. That was back in 1970 from the Ward's catalog. I was too intimidated to go out and make my purchase directly from a store. Sometime in the next year, I began making my purchases in person asking "If she does not like them, can I return them" as a way of telling the SA they WERN'T for me … when they were. It took several decades to actually go into a Payless and try them before buying. That became a habit until one SA recognized me from an earlier trial time and asked a personal question which I did not wish to answer. That happened a couple of years back and I have not done that type of interaction since. It placed me into a situation which was about as uncomfortable as I had ever been and the fun and joy of that type of adventure was lost or maybe a better word would be stolen from me.You were able to put a lot more into a paragraph than I ever could.

Huhuwhat: That outfit is powerful, alluring, and amazingly masculine! You got it all going on here buddy
Thanks so very much.
That is exactly how I see that one, which is why I like it so much given none of it was designed to be masculine...
I will be the first to admit, I kind of shocked myself with how it worked.- 1

Pretty sure they're just 'PU leggings', 'faux leather leggings', or 'wet look leggings'... Very minor differences between them and you can find them anywhere (ebay, Amazon, Macy's, Nordstrom's, etc) just google any of those three leggings terms. They range in price anywhere from $15 to well over $100. I have a few different pairs on the lower end of the price range myself But, they do look and feel great to wear.
Correct.
These are no-name and were probably about $15 at Mandee or Rainbow shops. Sort of bargain level women's clothing chains by me.
I have some others similar to this and pants which can look great but tend to be less forgiving with movement.
These look more like a fabric the closer you get, the benefit of which is they are breathable. I have other pants which are shinier and closer to a rubber or latex surface, but aren't very easy to get on or move in.
However.... You will tend to need a shirt like what I am wearing here which drops in front because you may not be very happy with the "impression" you may make otherwise.

Been a bit more adventurous the past few days. This is an office building near me that I chose to visit a little after most offices had closed.
Can still run into people, but not nearly as likely as elsewhere or other times.
I have a whole slew of pictures from the past few months to post eventually, but I like the way this one looks so I didn't want to put off posting it.- 10

purchased through a seller on eBay. New w/o box, so he shipped them poorly in an envelope mailer where they were starting to burst out of the bag. Some slight damage to the pattern on the platform on one side, buy you can't really see it so they're still cool for me.
What is the maker? I'd like to see if I can't track down a pair... If not, at least I will know of a (maybe) new brand to look for.

I love the look. Tight jeans but not too tight. And the boots are simply gorgeous! The must be quite easy to walk with. Small platform and a block heel. Pity the zip is not full length.
Well done, @Huhwhat!Yes, I agree.
I am not a big fan of partial length zippers, though I don't think I ever consciously noticed I had a preference until you pointed that out.- 1

I'm able to open the link and it shows the shoes and has them listed as available, but only in sizes 6,7,8
Is there a chance that the site had your actual size set in their cookies, so for you they weren't available since they are sold out/discontinued in all sizes other than 6-8?- 1

One of my favorite brands is Rock & Republic. I rarely see them at the thrift stores, but when I do my eye is always drawn to them and those these were 8.5 and I'm a 9, I had to try them.
Yes.... they fit and they weren't going to be sitting on that rack anymore.
Once again, super comfortable to wear, to talk in and of course my weakness for ankle straps.
I decided to wear these to a department store at least long enough to find a full-length mirror to take a photo or two before I would leave.
A few people saw me and only one really took notice at the shoes and her look was one of surprise and a touch of envy... maybe she liked the shoes, maybe she isn't able to walk around in shoes like this. I don't know because unfortunately, I'm still too shy to hang around. I did feel a bit of pride when she gave the second look and looked at them as many women check out other women's shoes and not like it was something out of the normal.
It was only 5 or so minutes walking around... but each time I go a little longer and each time I feel better about it.- 5

Two great finds at the thrift stores.
The ones with gold chain are Steve Madden shoes... $8.
Out and about driving, these images were during a gas station stop.
Definitely, keepers, as I really love the arch on Steve Madden shoes and straps are definitely my thing.
The second are unknown... the name has worn off, but there are a set of lips on the sole.. Again... I love ankle straps and these are double ankle straps. Very comfortable leather... I think I got these for $7. ( taken while browsing a Rainbow shops store )
Thrift stores are an addiction for sure.
No doubt, both of these pair are keepers.- 6

Since a bunch of my old pictures were deleted due to being too large, I thought some new ones would be in order ( this time I checked the size ).
Firstly, boots I wasn't sure about at DSW, felt great but seemed just a little too similar to ones I already have. So I passed on them.
However, If they get discounted some more by the next time I'm in there again. I may have to go for them.- 11

@Huhwhat Apologies but a lot of your images had to be removed, as most were too big (File size).
They need to be 512kb or less, but yours were 3.5mb+ each..
If you can re-size the files by lowering the quality a bit, rather than the image dimensions you should be fine, then repost them.
No worries. I took them straight out of the phone. Didn't look to the file size.
May repost if I still have them, but I don't think I do.
Will pay attention in the future though. -
New images from the last week or so of heeling.
I'm retiring quite a few pair ( off to the donation bin )... and before they go, at least one last walk about.
The first pair spent some time in two clothing stores... ladies clothes and shoes. No one bat an eye.
The second pair I'm keeping for now, extremely comfortable to walk in... another trip to a clothing outlet store ( no that isn't my shoe rack ).
The platform thighhighs were cheap and silly... Went to an ATM with them... never truly liked them, but they were on sale at a thrift store for $8. Tell me you wouldn't have bought them as well.
The last pair are also now gone...
There will be more pictures in the next month or so. as I plan on paring down the collection by at least 5 more pair by new year.
Happy Heeling everyone.

Some that are a little less visible.
Ps. I know the light colored stockings don't really work with hairy legs... but I like the way they feel and I'm not about to go shaving the legs...
I wear these more just to get into the feeling of getting comfortable in more obvious heels and clothes at night so when I want to go heeling during the day ( wearing something legitimately less eye grabbing ) I really won't feel like I stand out at all.

I found these shopping at one of my regular thrift store haunts, I first tried them on as a bit of a goof, but they were very comfortable... so why not. Well, the lady at the register said "Wow, these are amazing" then turned to a coworker about 20 feet away and yelled " I love these... not that I would have anywhere to wear them". So much for a low visibility purchase. She then turned back to me and I said, "I've got no where to wear them either, but I'm getting them anyway." She responded with a dead stare and "Your kidding right?" At that point I felt tiny and embarrassed... I thought she was judging me and was relieved when she followed it up with "I'm a size 10, and you fit into a 9? I'm so jealous of you". Boom... day made.

Sign of the times - jobs replaced by "do it yourself" service. Started with the "gas pump jocky" and now most stores have "self check-out" - service is becoming a fading staple in retail. The all powerful computer - but not one computer has bought a product.
Haha... so true.
For now.
I would point at the refrigerators that get programmed to not only monitor the amount of a product you have in it ( for example eggs ) but it then emails or texts you to tell you of that fact.
I would think the logical next step is for it to simply place your order for you via Alexa or something like that. -

You know you can add extra holes to the the strap. I use a finishing nail, a hammer and a small piece of wood. I locate where the next hole should go and hammer the nail into the strap. Turn it over and do the same on the other side.
1Yes, I get that.
However, sometimes the strap just simply isn't long enough. -

At a US women's size 10 it is so hard not to keep from buying shoes. Really hard, really really. I only have women's shoes now, I stopped wear men's shoes about 6 years ago after another ankle reconstruction and most of my shoes have at least a 4 inch.
I have set some rules:
(1) only shoes that can be worn to work (only 4 four that can't)
(2) only shoes that fit from the start
(3) good looking heels, I want my female co-workers to envy my shoes, to lust after them
But I have reached a space issue, I am out of room. My walk-in closet is full. I have three 1 foot by 6 feet bookcases full of heels, adjustable shelves. I like to go in an pick my shoes for the day, I don't have time for boxes. Time for a new house with a bigger walk-in closet.
Absolutely fantastic rules.
I wish I had learned and abided by them a while ago.
I'm very likely to ignore #1 as I am required to wear steel toed work boots...
But rule #2 is an absolute from here on in.
