May not be important to some, but if you love your car as much as your shoes it seems important to you. I do love shoes and my '76 dart.

How tall are you? I am about 5 ft 7 and 3/4. Am I happy w/ that? Yes. Most definitely. Being tall has its advantages Any bearing on heels? No. Perfect height? Just, as is. Partner? Don't have one to compare to.

Personally, I'd get out of the car and get my boots wet. Tires can be more expensive than boots... and more cumbersome, too. Boots may be expensive and a beast to replace, but, in the end, it's your call. okay I'll edit this since I accidentally posted twice. Sorry! I don't know if I can delete a post I put up...

Beth, I'm not married nor do I have a boyfriend (at the moment). So, if you don't like my advice, I understand. I'd have a heart to heart talk and tell him how you feel. If you feel like he's being too controlling, just plain ornery, or whatever just tell 'im. If he doesn't understand, well, only deal with that bridge if you have to cross it. I don't see a problem with it. I mean, it doesn't really make sense why a person wouldn't just get a comfortable pair of shoes if they're going to dance or something. I imagine if everyone took their shoes off there would be quite a stench though. Not everyone's feet smell like roses.
