These are shoes I wished I still owned, although I would only now wear them for special dress up occasions. There used to be a company called Wild Pair and back in the day they sold really high shoes, which I wanted/needed! Pardon the picture, but this is almost an exact pair I wore every day in high school, much to my father's chagrin. I had them in virtually every color. They would kill my feet but I needed the height. After high school I wised up and discovered slides which I can wear all day without a problem.

I totally agree with you CAT on how awesome the sound of metal heel tips are!!! My girlfriend and I went for a walk Saturday evening and the sound of my metal tip stilettos were so much louder than her plastic tip stilettos!!! I loved it and so did she ☺

I have a couple of pair lying around somewhere. They were made by the British-based "Little Shoe Box", back in the '90's...

I totally agree with CAT and XtremeHeels... And now, I'm inspired!! I'm going to dig them out and take them for a spin, just to listen to that great sound!!

I would absolutely love to have a pair of Christian Louboutin "Hot Chick" Heels but sadly they don't come in my size :(

Don't give up the dream, XtremeHeels! You never know... :fine:

Ok Sydheel, I'm impressed... I remember first seeing these boots around 5-6 years ago. I loved them then and still do...

How do you keep making these impressive finds?? What's your secret??

Okay, I agree there have many pairs of boots and shoes that have gone away and sent to the history books.

I would love to spring for Louboutins, as the styles are changing now, however this one (picture) was the one I craved the most...

    Great choice, mtnsofheels!! Love 'em!!!

  4. This is a topic for us to reveal those shoes and boots that we wish to own. It may be the footwear we plan to purchase? Or just dream of? Or perhaps the ones that got away? Those Boots and Shoes that were missed at the sale? Or the style we discovered only at the end of the season? Perhaps they were too expensive? Or maybe they didn't have our size? Or possibly it's that favourite pair that just wore out and couldn't be replaced...

We've all been there... So please share your thoughts and pictures here...

Hello again. This site has certainly opened my world to high heels. As I mentioned in my intro that I'm short 4'10" and I always wore 6 inch slides with about a 2 inch platform, plain black. After looking through this site, I purchased a pair of high heels with rhinestones across the top. Wow, they've been a hit at the diner. I've always gotten comments about the height of my heels, but this last week they've just about tripled :fine:. I used to wear them for utility purposes only - to increase my height, but I decided to jazz it up a little. The funny thing is that I was focused on the rhinestones when I ordered them, I didn't realize they were 7 inch heels instead of 6 inch heels. The platform in 2 1/2" high so my incline has increased by only 1/2". It took a couple days to get used to, but now they are as comfy as the 6 inchers. I'm off to work now, I just wanted to show off my new shoes and say thanks to all of you here for allowing me to look at high heels in a different light!!

    Hey HeelsWearer,

Great choice!! Notwithstanding my footwear prejudices..., they look fantastic!!  I hope you get to wear them often. :cheeky: Enjoy!!

Im sitting at my fave cafe in city having a coffee.

Just thought id share my boots. I bought these a month or 2 ago on ebay but still getting used to them. They are Siren boots size 10 but a few seasons old.

Squared off toe and very steep curved foot bed so toes are bent further than any of my other boots. 12.5 cm heel.

Im only just able to walk properly in these. On the edge as far as how much bend my ankle gives.

but wore them in to work on scooter then to coffee shop for breakky. I will change down when i get to work

  7. If you have only a few pairs of boots, then placing empty water bottles inside the shafts works great. If, like me, you have many pairs of boots (one can never have too many!!!!), then maybe commit the cardinal sin of storing them in stackable plastic tubs? The boot shafts wiĺl need to be folded (ouch!!!) and the storage area free from moisture to prevent the leather becoming mouldy.

    Good luck.

  8. Hi CAT and ThighBootGuy,

Thanks for the welcome. The boots in the first 3 pics are Boutique 9 "Feliece" boots. I confess they're my favourites. Well made and surprisingly comfortable to walk in, given the 5" heel.

The boots in the 4th pic are Ralph Lauren Wilda. They have a 5" wedge heel made from rubber and are very comfortable and forgiving. If I was wearing high heel boots for hours and needed to do a lot of standing and walking, they'd be my first choice...

I've got plenty boots to choose from, though.   Just need to build the courage to wear them in public more often... :cheeky:

    Cheers

  9. Hi Everyone. I'm new to the Forum, having joined just a few weeks ago.

Would've joined years ago, if I'd known about it! Definitely a cool way to network with people sharing my interest. Thank goodness for the internet...

Bought my first pair of high heel boots in 1980, when I was just 15. Now, I'm the proud owner of around 20 pairs of High Heel boots.

Anyway, I'll be logging-on regularly to participate with posts, photos, updates and stories of my experiences. Look forward to connecting with many of you and sharing experiences.

And special thanks to "Sydheel" and "heelsareme", who've welcomed me already.

    Cheers
