    I agree with the general sentiment. Mostly ranging from uninspiring to hideous... :sad:

    I prefer boots to be classical and timeless and hence, not subject to the same expectations of contemporary fashion. I'm also a minimalist. It should be about the boots and they should highlight themselves through style and simplicity. They should not require garish designs and tacky add-ons to get attention!!! :giggle:

    These ones did get my attention, though... :cheeky:

    Reason for wearing heels? Seriously, who needs a reason?? :giggle:

    Granted, I have tried to rationalise this in the past. I enjoy the look, the extra height, and the sound, etc, etc...

    Anyway, I wear high heels because I bloody well enjoy wearing them!! So there! :giggle:

    However, I have noticed that, when it comes to footwear, people fit into two categories, save for those who wear specialised footwear for sport, safety, or physical requirement.

    Group 1 - For them, footwear is something that separates their feet from the ground and nothing more. They're the "great unwashed" :giggle:

    Group 2 - Those who, irrespective of gender, wear high heels. We're the "enlightened ones"... :cheeky:

    I saw them at Dillards at Northpark.  I will have to wait until they go on sale after the holidays, hopefully there will still be size 10's to be had. 

    These boots from Lucky Brand are another style I really want:

    Zappos has them so I will wait until they move them over to 6pm.com and mark them down.  These have the stretch panel instead of a short zipper.

    I confess I too can be mesmerised by the "Shoe Dangle"... And I suspect that goes for most men. :cheeky:

    Thanks for posting the clip. I haven't heard of Jeanine Pirro. (Apart from living nine time zones away, I'm more "NPR" person than a Fox News person... :giggle: )

    Couldn't agree more, XtremeHeels. They certainly make the old Hunter wellies look pretty mundane. Can't believe they didn't catch on!! Looked everywhere for a pair, but to no avail. Another one that got away... :sad:
