  1. I had an iPhone for a while, but decided to sell it off, but I have an iPod, and just recently got an iPad. I have to say that hands down, the iPad is THE cool thing to use these days, and HHPlace looks bloody good on it! I also have the Zappos and Payless apps for it, so I can heel browse anytime I'm in a wi-fi area.

  2. Yes you may suggest that, tightsnheels! Sounds like a wonderful idea! I'll let you know how it all pans out once I get a bit more money to throw into this beastie. Johnieheel, that is one outstanding ride you have there my friend. A nice sweet sleeper that'll blow the doors off of people around you. For some reason, the engine hesitates on accelerating from a stop, and sometimes is hard to start right away - I'm wondering if it's the fuel pump or perhaps just a clogged up fuel filter. I'll do the cheap part first, and then go from there.

  3. Maybe this will be my "third time's the charm" car, because: 1st one: 1965 Ford Galaxie 500, white on turquoise, 352 stock, body straight as an arrow. Was going to sell it, guy took it around the block for a test drive, and it never came back *headdesk* 2nd one: 1973 Dodge Charger, metallic midnight blue, 440 w/4 barrel - NICE car, but I lost my job, so it got repo'd. Story goes some teens bought it after me and promptly blew the motor in it. Needless to say, I'm a lot wiser now, and this one is PAID FOR - no payments! She just got a new alternator and battery in her, along with an oil change, so now it's just the rest of the normal maintenance stuff that needs to be done. The rear end is a bit low, but I can't afford to replace the springs in it, so I'll have to get creative for a solution in the meantime. It's fully driveable though and is strong! I'll take some more pics sometime to post somewhere.

  4. Due to the sheer amount of guys' postings, rather than hedge-clip this down to nothing, I felt it more constructive to just move this train over to "For Everybody" - consider it an early Christmas present from me.

  5. I really envy you being able to wear heels at work. Somehow I don't think they'd be proper in a machine shop (lmao).

What makes it funny at times, is that now the ladies EXPECT to see me dressed up on a daily basis!

  6. Here's something I just found out. If you subscribe to STEAM, you can get "RealMYST", which takes the original MYST game and makes it true 3D to where you can move through it and interact on a whole new level! I may have to just download it this weekend and check it out! Of course I'm going to be getting into Myst Online here soon as well. Yes....I'm a Myst junkie - just got it for the iPad too. :)

  7. As you know, up north it gets cold, and what comes with cold but snow? Well, as one who still likes pumps and other assorted heels, I've done a ritual where I wear my slog shoes (whatever male shoes works) out in the snow and yuck, and then when I get to work, I take them off under my desk and get my nice heels out of my purse to wear for the day. It's well big enough to handle MY shoes, dahlinks! Any other guys do this during the winter? Inquiring minds want to know!

  8. Funny thing about old cars getting into places........ I had a 1973 Dodge Charger some years ago, and it had "series 60" tires (the fat ones) all the way around it, and it made it to where I couldn't use an automatic car wash, because the wheelbase was too wide, so I had to go use the manual washers! i had to laugh about that one. You mean my car is plus-sized, so it won't fit in your skinny-mini washer? Puh-leeze! LOL! It's all good though, because auto-washers are just there for those who are too lazy to get out and wash it themselves. Then again, any car wash is for those too lazy to go out with a bucket of soapy water, a sponge, and a hose!

  9. Today was an awesome day! I found and acquired something I've been lacking for some time - a nice BEEFY car with some OOMPH under the hood! My friends went out north of Billings to Shepherd, MT where this guy had some vehicles for sale - amongst them was this sheer beauty - a 1971 Ford LTD.....2-door.....for only $300! I knew I wanted to pick this bad boy up, and after a week of soul-searching, we went for it. We went out to meet the guy selling it and it is gorgeous! The body is just about perfect on the outside aside from some missing trim and slight surfact rust in one area, and the inside was just about as immaculate! Here's the kicker.....she has a 400 big block in it with under 50K ORIGINAL miles! 39 years old and it has THAT low of mileage?? REALLY??? We plopped a new battery in it, gave it some fresh go-juice, and OH BOY did it run! YEAH! Needless to say, she's my new pride and joy, and I'm gonna have fun cruising around town once again!

  10. It all comes down to confidence and how good you feel about yourself. Recently I wore my pink 4" pumps with a pink blouse and matching pink nail polish - and not a word was said. Then again, perhaps my being 6'4" without the heels might have something to do with that.

  11. Thanks for the link, crotchhiboots! I've always loved the Myst games and books, so this may just get me back into my groove again. I remember also when "RealMYST" came out, and it was quite cool, as it allowed you to move smoothly through all of the worlds, but sadly, it wasn't out long. I may give the online version a spin sometime!

  12. I just got done reading recently that they have re-released the original MYST game for the iPod/iPhone/iPad products. I remember playing this game back in the 90's when it first came out, and I spent WEEKS playing it until I finally beat it. If you know how, you can actually beat the game within 10 minutes - no cheating involved! Well.......I don't think it's cheating, as there are no codes, expoits, or breaking the program involved. If you have an Apple handheld appliance, you can do far more foolish things with two bucks than play a classic game. Of course, you gotta relax in your favorite heels while doing it - two great things that go well together! :-)

  13. I love Ben Nye, as it has "staying power" - it doesn't sweat off at the slightest heat - it's meant for hot spotlights, so anything other than having the sun really close to you (which would incinerate the earth), you should be in great shape! I love the rest of their makeup though, since it lasts a LONG time.
