  1. Just bought the Jeffrey Campbell LITA model in black they were just released to day finally on Solestruck. Can't wait to get them.

I have these as well and love them. So comfortable and look great. Will it matter to people that they are made for men now? We will see.

  2. I always thought the opposite. I admire the fact that black people tend to wear clothes that are more colorful and sometimes more 'out there' than others. Specifically, on Sunday I see guys in great purple suits and pin stripes. Black women wear the most outrageous shoes everyday that a white girl would only wear to the most formal events. I can understand the masculinity thing but from a fashion standpoint, I think blacks have looser rules.

  3. I have over 100 pair of heels and some flat saddle oxfords. I have 6 pair of men's shoes...2 tennis like, 3 dress and some running shoes. The tennis-like shoes are from Japan and I haven't seen anything like them here. Lace-up but very thin rubber sole and colorful design.

  4. As a guy, I don't think there is any risk of wearing heels too often as flats are forced on me most of the time. Between work and other activities, heels are the exception despite my wanting to wear them all the time. Women are more likely to run the risk of over wearing heels and damaging their feet.

  5. I found these on the Macy's sale rack today for $35 and no tax (Florida tax free weekend). They are Bebe "Autumn" in size US 10 with a full 6.5" heel on a 1.5" platform. They are quite comfortable but the 5" rise is pretty steep. Can't wait to get them out on the street.

  6. Got this today in the "This Is True" news feed...

FASHIONABLE: Sam Saurs, 15, of Port Orchard, Wash., told his mother he

didn't think wearing high heels would be too difficult. Her challenging

response: try it for a day. He accepted her challenge, and went one

further: he said he would also wear a dress. "I was pretty," Sam said,

but when he showed up at school, officials at Sedgwick Junior High

School got ugly: they suspended him for the remainder of the school

year. His mother said the school's action was "offensive" since the

student handbook doesn't disallow dresses or heels. School officials

backed down -- a little: they reduced the suspension to three days, but

still banned him from the ninth-grade dance. Sam is defiant. "If

anything," he said, "it makes me want to be more out there and more

spontaneous and crazy." (RC/KING-TV) ...That kid is going to go far --

    but he may hobble.

Found the following news articles about it...

  7. I have those same Bordellos. Here is my advice... Parties are a great place to wear heels as you will be standing and sitting throughout the evening. I recommend you get some Dr. Scholes gels for heels to cushion the balls of your feet. They will allow you to stand quite a bit longer then without. Also, standing is harder than walking. Your feet will get sore faster just standing around so when you feel a little pain, walk around or sit a bit. I find the Bordellos have a bit narrow toe box. I can wear them for a couple of hours with no problems but then the side of my big toe starts hurting. If you sit down and slip the shoe off before it gets too bad, just for 3-4 minutes, it will let you go a lot longer. I have used a shoe stretcher with a little bump thing on it where the toe issue is to stretch out the toe box a little and it really helps. Just leave the stretcher in the shoe for a couple of days for it to work. Have a GREAT time!

  8. They can extend your time in heels by an hour or many more depending on how long you can stand in them. The long inserts that cover the heel to the ball of your foot work great as they prevent your foot from sliding forward into the toe box or out the peep toe or open toe. They add a high arch that support your foot better too. I personally love them.

  9. Not everyone has the situation to shave, although I do. If we want men to be accepted in heels, we also have to understand that hairy legs come with most men. That said, I don't think it looks good but many would say the same of a man in heels. It is all what you are used to. If we get used to seeing it, it will seem normal.
