I am a Project Manager involved in Energy Retrofit Industry. My clients do not see my like this because most of my work is in construction site and let's face it HIGH HEELS ARE NOT SAFETY SHOES. Yes, some poeple at my company know about my heels. Last week, I ate dinner and breakfast with another PM from my company and both events were in heels prior to going to work site. I have a new experience facing me tonight. You all know that I travel weekly and stay at the same hotel. Well the Owner of this porperty and a few others has asked that I do a Presentation of Energy Saving Lights. I do have some in my van and will do the Presentation tonight. In attendance he pland on having management from the six properties and himself. I only brought two pairs of shoes ( I wore one into the hotel and the other in my suitcase.) see below. I I have selected the Peep Toe Pumps with Black Slacks and Company Shirt. I will update tomorrow. Henri

The Manager gives me a HIGH HEEL Discount. I only pay 1 C-note. Henri

I did not receive any negative comments and I did not pick up on any looks or snickers. I travel there weekly and never wear male shoes, I am always in High Heels for the entire hotel stay. Thanks to all for the positive comments. Henri

It was a Reception by the Hotel. But we had others from my Company there also. It definitely was an interesting evening. Thanks Henri

The Hilton Garden Inn in Freeport Maine. The Manager has been seeing me in heels every week for the last 20 months. She wears Stiletoes also. Thanks Henri

The Manager's Reception went quite well. It started at 5:00 PM and lasted till past 11:00 PM. I stayed for the entire event. The lounge was almost full to capacity and everyone had a Great time. I received only two positive comments and one lady even had to touch my shoes to make sure she wasn't dreaming. She stuck around for the whole night. The Hotel Manager and her Assistant never said anything but then I am a frequent traveler to this property. The evening went very well. Thank You all for the nice comments. Many of you know that I travel weekly on business and I always travel in heels. I just got to the Hotel and was informed that they are having a Manager's Reception tonight and the Manager has asked that I attend. I am here without any flats. Therefore I have to attend in Heels. OH THAT'S TOO BAD !!! Henry

I buy a lot of my hosiery at Macy's where they have always been quite helpful. Remember to send in your feedback about your shopping experience. Clerks who are supportive to us need to be recognized. BTW, what brand(s) of hosiery do you buy there? I love the Berkshires and HUE myself.

This is a great story and the perfect example of how little people actually notice what is right in front of them. I once had a clerk ask if I ever wore a skirt while I was standing right in front of her wearing a SKIRT and a guy once asked if I was wearing nail polish (clear at the time) but made no coment on my 3 1/2 inch red sandals.

This could also tell me Henri that your outfit was very well done and/or that you are quite natural in wearing your heels. Thanks for sharing this experience with us.

Hello Everyone, I had an incident happen today that defies belief and I have to tell somone. As I dressed for work; I found that I needed to buy more hosery. I chose my outfit carefully as usual. I wore a blue and white oxford long sleeve dress shirt, natural colored pantyhose, tan chino dress slacks and bone colored Aldo 5" Stiletto heels. The slacks are an inch longer than I normally wear so that I may wear heels. They covered about half of the shoe is I was standing still. I went to Macy's to buy hosery. walked in directly to the Hosery departmetn and made my selection. I was walking towards a Customer Service Center when this lady clerk spotted me and saind that she could take care of my purchase. I followed her and gave her my VISA. She then completed the transaction and handed my my Credit Card and my purchase and said, " I hope you enjoy your nylons, Henry". I asked her how she knew they were for me. She replied, "I saw you were wearing nylons as you approached." I thanked her and asked what about the shoes. She said "What Shoes" and then came around the counter. "OH MY GOD; you're wearing heels. I had not noticed them. Let me see!". We then proceeded to chat for about 5 minutes until the next Customer came along. Moral to the story is that she works in Hosery and Handbags and pays attention to her departments and to her customers in her department. After talking with her I truly believe that she did not see the heels only the nylons. She was thrilled that I wore heels and said that she does not feel dressed without heels and sockings. She was wearing 3" cork wedge. I complimented her on her heels as she complimented me on mine. It was a GREAT Day. Henri

Heri, a great look. But I am curious as to why, after looking at those pictures, you're not comfortable with a skirt? The shorts with those heels is not much different in appearance that a skirt, and actually might be likely to be more noticeable. This is, however, coming from someone that would never have the nerve to wears heels in the places you do, much less wear them so they stood out to that level! Keep on truckin'!

I do wear skirts in private. I have not in public yet. I need to hear more from JeffB before I wear skirt and heels in public. Thank You for the support.
