  1. You did the right thing Radiodave even though it didn't turn out the way you wanted. Better to find out early than later and have the secret eat you up. There are plenty of fish out there, some would actually like to see their men in heels. We are who we are and shouldn't be ashamed of it. If a woman or anyone judges you by the shoes you wear, they are the ones with issues.

  2. Since stiletto heels are not an option, you might consider blade style heels which were popular in the late 90's. They had a wide base but had a thin profile. Or you could find shoes/boots with a thin chunky heel. How high can you go, heel wise? There are shoes/boots out there with a slim chunky heel which aren't very high but are still attractive. Remember also that a big factor in making heels attractive is the sound that they make while walking. It's funny observing a bunch of guys starting to scan the area in search of the origin of the clicking noise of heels.

  3. Some guys here are giving the women a run for their money. Trolldeg, Ppjames12, Heelguy and Wile E Coyot, you all have fantastic legs! Alas, this isn't a man vs man contest so the women have the advantage and as a straight guy who regards women with nice legs as a highly attractive trait, the top prize so far goes to Amanda Snake. Not only is her photo original and shows off her amazing legs, she shows them "as is" without the addition of "enhancers" such as heels, hose. Douze points!

  4. It seems the more confident you get wearing heels with guy clothes the less anyone notices or cares.

Of course since you yourself are the biggest obstacle to wearing heels in public and your own self awareness. Once you build your confidence, your self awareness diminishes and you yourself don't make a big deal of wearing heels. People tend to react to your own reaction. If they sense that you're uncomfortable, they'll try and figure out why.

  5. What would your thoughts be if you new the bus driver who was driving over alpine passes on a four hour journey was wearing his new 5.5" heels which have 1.5" platform?

and I am sure my pasengers didnt even know

I had just bought them and couldnt wait to break them in and feel them on my feet, so i slipped them on while on the road.

There is a time and place to wear heels. Wearing very high heels while driving a bus full of people on a dangerous route in the mountains is NOT one of those times. Reminds me of that story where a couple of Russian pilots had a kid in the cockpit and let him take control of the plane while sitting in the captain's lap. They probably asked themselves "what could go wrong?". They did not make it.

Seriously though, there are certain professions where wearing high heels poses a danger. As a person who's work demands working in construction sites, I'd never ever wear anything other than safety boots. Soldiers wear combat boots for a reason. Style isn't one of them. It goes without saying that a person such as yourself, who's responsible for the lives of your passengers should take every precaution necessary to make sure that your passengers (and yourself) shall arrive safely at their destination.

The negative far outweigh the positive outcomes. You might have enjoyed the feeling of wearing those new heels but just think for a second what would happen if:

1 - A passenger spots you wearing heels while driving on a hazardous road. He/she might freak out and sue the company for reckless driver behavior since heels aren't the safest types of shoes to drive in. My guess is that you'll lose your job.

2 - Heaven forbid an accident happens and people are injured/killed. You'll make a very easy scapegoat for the company/press. Just think of the headlines in the newspaper. It'll definitely make the front page. "Male bus drivers' high heel fetish blamed for bus disaster". Whether you survive or not, you'll be done.

Enjoy your new purchase of heels, just use some common sense when it comes to deciding where to wear them.

  6. I'm guessing that this will strictly be a man vs man contest.

Anyway, this is me at my most feminine look (although nail polish is also something that I incorporate sometimes).

You might want to wear sunglasses to avoid the blinding flash of the color of my skin haha.

Whoever the winner is, my vote still goes to Jennifer Aniston lol! Lord have mercy...

  7. i agree with you but to be honest i don't think society will ever accept men in feminine clothing. if you can work up the courage like some of the other men on this site then do what you love and show your love of heels and hose to the public. i know i will never have the courage.

    Never say never...

  8. Elle Magazine, December 2009.

Elle gave a Hermes Scarf to 16 "Tastemakers" and told to make a look of their own.

This Guy, Marcus Holmlund, paired his with High Heeled Boots, also from Hermes.

He also has a fashion blog.

    http://smokeandmirrorsblog.com/

He looks very feminine and is built to wear ANY style. I'm pretty sure that if he were to wear a dress and heels and I'd pass him in the street, I'd think that he is a she.

  9. The last photo combo of jeans + heels looks best. The shirt color however, doesn't really match in my opinion. The patent pumps are nice. I agree with Dr.Shoe that adopting a more feminine style which includes heels, hose, skirts requires a more general feminine look. That doesn't mean that you need to put on a wig or wear makeup but it does require a clean look and to pay attention to detail. Happyfeat has got it down to a science. Although Ive never actually seen his face (assassins do like to stay anonymous lol) I think that he also sports a goatee, i.e he doesn't try in any way to conceal the fact that he is a man. Yet he manages to pull off very feminine styles very well. Browse his photo collection (It seems that his wardrobe collection rivals that of Imelda Marcus's lol). It can give you good ideas how to pull off a good look. Forget for a second the gender issue. LOOK how normal women (not those who only eat granola bars and go to the gym and attend yoga classes 7 times a week) who wear the styles you do look like. The ones with a successful style have taken the time to match the clothes with their body style, makeup, hair style etc.. We've all spotted women who didn't take the time to coordinate their look and frankly, they DO NOT look good, especially if they opt for a feminine style. Just because they are women, it does NOT mean that they can pull any feminine look. The same applies to a guy. You want to look good wearing a skirt and pumps, you need to work on it. Its not that hard. Go to the mall and observe. In any case, I think that it IS important to try and avoid looking as though you were sawed in half at the hip and your lower body was replaced by the lower body of a woman.

  10. Does your brother and father know about your interest in wearing hh? My dad, mom and brother all know of my more diversified fashion interest. They are all accepting even though my parents have never actually seen me in heels or a feminine look. When hanging out with my brother (who is 26), I prefer to wear masculine clothing even though I have worn a feminine style while hanging out with him in the past. It's not that he ever showed discomfort but I just find it weird hanging out with him in a feminine look.

  11. Buses here are also mainly used by people who can't afford a car, the main mode of transport. The LRT (light rail train) is limited but is used by many students who go to/from the big university in town. There have been articles in the paper that dealt with how there isn't enough security and that people have been threatened/harassed/attacked by thugs/drunks/gangs. I personally have never used the public transportation because I have a vehicle. I don't think that I'd use public transportation here while wearing heels. I would actually feel safer wearing heels in the Tokyo subway than here. With regards to constructions workers, we're not all that bad lol. Yes, you'll find lots of meat heads in this industry but then there are guys like me and others who are much more tolerant.

  12. Gosh that's really violent!

Especially the toilet dipping option lol. And what would you do in such a case Amanda?

There is always the option of making their shoes mysteriously "disappear" like in an episode of Sex and the City but I'd have to convince them to take off their shoes which is unlikely.

Oh well, If I DID have an expensive floor installed sensitive to spiked heel damage, anyone wearing those kind of shoes would have to take them off before walking on it.

  13. As a guest to another persons' home, common sense dictates to respect that persons' property. If you don't then you're a douche and should be thrown out. If I were the guy who had 2500 damage done to my floors and was told o F%$# off by those women, I'd want to get a hold of their hopefully pricey shoes and destroy them. Options would be to grab a hammer and smash them, try and rip off the heel, cut the shoe fabric with a box cutter or just dip them in a dirty toilet.

  14. Another pair of beautiful boots I'd love to wear are these Chloe suede otk boots. They originally retail at around 1200 USD but you can get them for much less from the link above. As much as I like them in black, I also love them in olive as shown in the photo worn by the singer Fergie.

The reason I'm not buying them is that the heel is too high for me. I cannot comfortably wear 4.5 inch heels. I couldn't find them in a size 41 either.

  15. At the moment I'm comfortable wearing high heels in public with "masculine clothing", i.e. jeans, trousers etc. However, I would like to evolve my attire and adopt a more "feminine" look from the waste down, i.e. wear a skirt, hose and heels in public. I'm not there yet confidence wise.

Even if I'd be wearing a combo of stiletto heels, hose and a skirt in public I'd still consider my look masculine with no desire to imitate a woman, simply because in my mind these items have become unisex attire.

Wearing a dress, bra, blouse, makeup etc is simply not my thing.

Funny to read my original post back from 2007. Since then I have definitely developed an interest in a more feminine look as well, a look that I'm sure people who see me in public think that I'm a full blown TV even though I still don't regard myself as one.

I see no problem why someone can't have multiple styles. I'm sure that I'm not the only one here who likes both a masculine AND a feminine look. Why choose one? These days, I'm comfortable in skirts, heels and makeup but I haven't stopped enjoying wearing just my heels, jeans and a dress shirt without the extra glitter and glam. Not to mention all my completely masculine styles I enjoy wearing that are no less stylish. Sometimes, I take advantage of the little benefit we guys have over women where society expects us NOT to put much effort in our look. It's great to take advantage of on lazy days or when I'm in a rush.

The bottom line is that the choice between masculine/feminine is pretty much only relevant to us. The fact is that society still views a guy in normal masculine clothing + heels as a feminine guy. Deal with it in the best manner which is to dress how you like without thinking about what other people think of you. Build your confidence and be comfortable with yourself (the best answer to why you wear what your wear is "I like the style", that's it). MOST would find it strange, MOST won't care. Those that DO CARE, who cares?

  16. Wear do I start..lol

I'd say my number 1 would be these Old Gringo "Garza leoparditos".. I have found them, and in my size, but I just can't justify shelling out $400.00+ for them..

Number 2 would be the Newrocks...

I also love Old Gringo boots. They are so stylish. I have the Dona Carlota boots. I don't think they sell them anymore but they have a 2.5 inch heel and very pointed toes. I get many compliments on them.
