  1. What kind of shoes/boot would you attach your name/career to? We in this forum share one common thing, we love high heels. Has anyone ever thought about becoming involved in the shoe industry, even it it meant changing careers? Sometimes I toy with the idea although I'm not sure which part of the industry I'd like to belong to. It's more like a dream idea than a reality at this point. Plus, I think that the competition makes it a very hard industry to enter and be successfull in (financially speaking). But for the sake of the dream lets say I did it. There are quite a few options such as design, manufacturing, quality control, marketing etc. The final product tester could be cool  I guess I'd like to have some basic design skills as well as the knowledge to design the shoes that I like. However, I don't think I'd want to do any of those for years and years. So, the best bet would be to locate shoe designers and factories willing to design/manufacture shoes/boots that I like (maybe design a few styles I like and give them to the pros to manufacture) and open a company that sells the final product. Since I like good and high quality shoes, I'd probably want to check out factories and designers in Italy or Spain. Cheap/massed produced shoes/boots in China is not the path I'd take. I'd strive that my company would become a boutique brand of excellent quality classic style shoes/boots sold in high end dept. stores and shops. My customers would know that the shoes they buy from my company will last them for years. I'd focus on professional/dressy shoes/boots. I'd also have shoes/boots without high heels since I find classic Italian mens shoes or womens' tall flat boots (1 inch heel) very elegant as well. The hh shoes/boots would be unisex, no separate men/women sections. The classic styles would span from the masculine looking to the very feminine (from block heels to stilettos, from round toe to very pointed). As a fan of western cowboy boots, I'd have a more casual section of boots incorporating western boot designs with higher and thinner stacked heels. This is, pretty much, how I see myself doing it. Maybe some day. what about you?

  2. Demoniaplatforms has been trying to market his avatar style HH platform boots to the World Wrestling Federation for years. Unfortunately, several "accidents" in the ring involving kicks to the face by wrestlers wearing those boots have deemed them unsafe and impractical for the make belief performance.

  3. Hi guys,

Just wanted to give you the heads up on a new pair of boots I've bought.

I found a new online store last night FindThatShoe.com and the boot collection is incredible. If you are into your trends they appear to stock a lot of up to date styles mostly to UK size 10 and occasionally to UK size 11 - and all at reasonable prices.

I have just ordered these in a size 9 hoping they will give a little but they say they are re-stocking and believe me I can't wait :o

Will try and post some pics when I get them. Happy shopping.

    Jez

The boots you've purchased are hot! The'yd look fantastic with a skirt or skinny jeans etc.

The site is excellent as well. A great find indeed!

There are some perfect public starter heels for men, the best being the boot models "Lara", "Cilla", "Jilly", "Shelly" (my favs)and "Zeta". They are very classy and aren't cheap like most shoes/boots in larger sizes. I wouldn't think twice about wearing any of these models in public.

  4. I agree that telling the woman you are dating about your interest in high heel fashion early on is a must.

How early? Well, that's the 64,000 question. I'd say that definitely during the first few dates. Obviously you'll be looking for an open minded person. As your ex wife recommended, find out how open minded she is as early as possible.

Personally, if we're talking about a woman you've just met, I'd avoid telling her on the first date, open minded or not. A first date is usually more formal/get to know a person in general. She, as well as you, are processing the info you've been given as well as both sides being a bit nervous, even uncomfortable since we're talking about a first date. If there is chemistry between the two of you, she seems to like various things about you and that you've established that she is open minded, then I'd bring it up on the second date in a casual way but I wouldn’t wear my heels to that date.

Like others have said, make sure you sound relaxed and confident when you bring it up. If she'd say that she thinks it's weird but not in a negative tone, I'd joke around and agree (say something that shows her that you are able to laugh at yourself) but make her understand how harmless it is. Try convincing her that it's weird and quirky, but in a cool way. It might convince her that you're very confident in being you in public (lots of points for you in her book) and that you don't take yourself too seriously (another trait many women look for). Better yet, if you have a very technical-grey job, wearing heels will give you the aura of a more artistic person, hence a more complex and interesting guy.

If she's still interested after the casual and convincing talk of yours, only then I'd wear the heels out on a date with her. Don't over do it in the beginning, i.e, make sure the first image she has of you in heels is a conservative one. Block heels, blade heels with square toe, only heels in black/brown colors etc. After she gets accustomed to see you in them (don't forget to match the heels with the total outfit look!), I'd proceed to show her your entire heel collection. That way, even your more feminine-flashy heels won't be so "in her face" (unless all your heels are over the top lol).

I also suggest never to bring up the heels subject in an obsessive manner, unless she is fascinated and she brings it up. Make her understand that for you, they're just another style of shoes that you enjoy wearing.

Ultimately, it will come down to her confidence and self esteem, not yours. If she is confident enough to be around her partner in public, regardless of other peoples' opinions, then you've got yourself a keeper. All that's left after that is to deal with her crazy quirks!

  5. Oh no, you are mistaken, I personally have not tried heeling out at all, although I have seen SOME people heel out in Vancouver (over the past several years)

Maybe some of those guys are part of our forum, Iloveboots for example. I've heard in the past that Vancouver is one of the more progressive cities, kind of like San Francisco and Seattle. I'd love to hear about someones' heeling experiences in that city.

I like your avatar by the way, who makes those shoes?

  6. There are days where I don't want to attract attention or I'm in a hurry and I rather put on a pair of shoes that I can walk quickly in. There are also days where I'd like to wear my heels but do think twice about wearing them, even to places wear I've worn them in the past like to my bank branch or to the mall. Confidence in heeling comes and go's I guess. I find I'm more confident at the end of the day/night then in the morning. I have a more "F%$K what everyone else thinks attitude" after dark.

  7. Being a University Student, I can tell you that if you were to wear heels at my campus (UBC Vancouver), fingers will not be pointing at you, and nothing would happen. This is primarily due to the sheer level of expression that people bring to their campus lifestyles. Ive seen plenty of guys wearing skirts, makeup, and even ladies hosiery without any apparent reason other than to express their opinions on clothing differences between the two genders. However I have not seen anyone wear heels yet (its rare even with women!), because to be honest, UBC Vancouver is quite a big campus and classes are spread out over huge distances (one would need to run to make the 10 minute intervals between classes) and hence it would be impractical to wear them. But if I were you, I would definately give it a try! maybe just spend a day or two on campus, not wandering around but maybe giving the bookstore a visit, or the library a visit!:o

How do you find the heeling experience in Vancouver? Lot's of attention?

  8. People who have the balls to post negative comments on a forum. Such courage! Those remarks come as no surprise. Probably the first time they've seen a guy in heels. This guy also has a very feminine fashion look which only enhanced the posters' stigma. But it's interesting to read some comments where the posters can't even comprehend the look. To them, it's beyond gay. they haven't seen gay people dressed like that. Maybe he isn't gay? Just a strait guy with feminine fashion taste? Nooo, that would be too easy an explanation therfore not possible. Regardless of their posts, none of these guys would dare say anything to this person in public, they'd keep it to themselves. In that case, who cares?

  9. After doing some research, saving up lots of pennies and simply reaching the can't resist anymore/red zone, I've just placed an order for these in black:

I admit they will look way better on ladies of this caliber:

Nevertheless, I cant wait to wear them as well, already thinking about the various styles to wear them with.

since I'm only expected to receive them in late September since they are custom ordered, let the hard waiting game begin!

  10. here is a picture of me in my new 3 1/2" guess black stiletto pumps which I talked about in another thread "very nice adventure".

The outfit itself is basically just a plain black sweater with a pair of dark wash buffalo jeans(yes they are ladies). Both pics are basically the same but the 2nd one shows more of the heel.

And I apologize for the headless shots, but I still need to keep somewhat of a low profile. Not alot of people know of my love of heels yet.

So without further delay here they are.

Nice low key outfit MR X. I like the Guess stiletto pump designs as well.

  11. Thanks for the story KH. It surely looks/sounds like your most daring outing to date. Chapeaux!

This is likely the farthest I'll ever push my own personal boundaries though. I'll never do skirts, or even skorts for that matter. That just doesn't appeal to me. It's mostly a matter of it being hot and humid up here in New York that inspired me to wear heels and shorts.

Skirts/skorts might not be your thing but to be honest, exposing practically all of your leg with those shorts was more daring than a knee high skirt and hose. It's about the same level as wearing a mini, which I'm sure you would've pulled off. You have the physical built and courage to do it.

I view my high heel/skirt interest as part fetish part a genuine fashion style. I limit the use of a mini skirt and stiletto heels to home as a fetish for the moment. I can't bring myself to wear a knee high skirt with a pair of stilettos in public, strictly boots with skirts for me. I stick to wearing stilettos with pants/jeans.

Maybe I should hang around you KH, maybe I'd start wearing stiletto's with skirts. I could make the leap with this style to fashion interest from fetish. That's how it happened in the past. I'm not there yet and such a leap of faith would probably require some backup from other friends. Sucks that there are so few of us in my area to share this fashion passion with.

  12. I went to the movie yesterday to se the new batman.

If I paint my face like the jokers face, I bet noone will even think about looking at my shoes...so problem is solved.. :-)

Hahaha, walk like he does as well after he exists the hospital. Oh, and if someone stares just ask them "why so serious?"

  13. It's sad that kids are brainwashed at such a young age by close minded adults, causing them to become close minded as well. Needless to say, the kid doesn't even know what he's saying, only that calling someone a "faggot" is a hurtful/insulting word which seems to please the kid, maybe because it's a bonding moment between him and his redneck dad. I'm surrounded by close minded rednecks at work. If they saw me in feminine fashion mode I'm pretty sure their attitudes would change towards me for the worse or at the very least, would constantly crack jokes about it. That doesn't mean that I'd stop wearing heels in public. If one of my co-workers sees me in public I'll deal with it then and there. I just don't make it known to everyone about it. Then again, why would I talk about my fashion styles to other guys? Not exactly a topic for the average guys anyway.

  14. Kneehighs, you are living the dream most of us single high heeling guys wish we could, myself being one of them. I can honestly say that one of my greatest pleasures on this site is to read about your exploits in the "Big Apple" and the rest of the world. I have nothing but admiration for your courage and ability to be yourself and reap the rewards that come to you. So my friend, keep doing what you're doing and please keep us posted :-)

  15. Welcome Lorenziluvrr, You have good taste in shoes/boots. Nothing beats Italian shoe/boot craftsmanship. The last pair of boots I bought were 3 inch otk Giuseppe Zanotti brown boots. They look and smell so good, not to say so comfortable with the small yet very sexy stiletto heel. Where abouts in Canada are you from? West/East?

  16. Hi Xander and welcome to the forum. I love Singapore, lived there as a kid for 2 years (mid 80's). Gotta love Orchard road, how clean and modern the city/country is and of course, the wonderful Changi airport and one of the best airlines in the world. Do you also have high heeled boots? I'd assume that wearing boots in Singapore is a "sweaty" ordeal with the constant warm temperature and the sky high humidity.

  17. Congrats Gladius123 on losing you high heel "virginity" lol. I'm sure most of us remember our first high heel pair and the excitment we felt while slipping them on for the first time. Mine were a cheap pair of man made leather 4 inch stiletto pumps. I still remember the first time slipping them on and taking my first few steps on a marble floor. Wow is what I felt. Those magical clicking sounds!
