  1. Thanks so much for the comments, being a 'newby' to this site it is so inspiring to get such postive comments! These are definitly my favourite boots at the moment - I will add some more pictures tomorrow with a different outfit! Unfortunately I only have the confidence to wear boots indoors at the moment, so they have not had any outdoor action yet, but the great stories people share on this site are helping!! Thanks again for your words of encouragement and support! :wavey:

  2. Great end to a Monday - my new boots from Aldo arrived! I got a pair of really soft (gorgeous) black just over knee boots - the style is call Kosiba. They have a 5 inch heel, 1/2 inch platform, part lenght zip to the inner leg and a nice 'ruffled' detail around the top of the leg. They are sooooooooo, nice to wear, I have had them on all evening - I now need a new outfit to wear with them! The best bit of all though - the boots cost £160, however in the clearance sale I got them for £29.99 - bargin of the year so far!! :wavey: I cant believe I got a pair of real leather boots that look great for under £30! I suppose its all the more money to put into my 'crotch high boot fund'

  3. Hi - I have heard back from them, really quick reply which is always good!

I asked, based on a size 44 boot:

    1) is the inside / lining of the boots made from leather or man made material?

The shoe part has pig leather lining. The boot leg end has goat

leather lining. The middle part is not lined.

    2) what is the height of the heel on the size 44 boot

    12.5cm

    3) what is the height of the boot shaft - from the top of the heel to the top of the boots.

    74cm

So, I love the shaft height - they are pretty much crotch high!

But, I wish they were fully leather linned!!

    What to do........

  4. Hi - I have just stumbled across Fernando Berlin Boots (.com) - they seem to have some really nice looking boots in + sizes (up to a 47)

I have fallen in love with the Modell 110, which I would need in a 44:

    http://www.fernandoberlinboots.com/ubergrossen/modell-110-high-heel-stiefel-grosse-36.html

But I was wondering if any of my fellow boot lovers had any experience of this company? - are the boots any good? - do they really look that good when they arrive? - what is the quality like??

Any pointer, especially if anyone has a pair of the 110's would be great!

    Thanks! :wavey:

  5. Thanks for all your 'welcome' comment! I have had a good look around the site - its great to hear from so many like minded people - Im not on my own! I have some new over knee boots on order from Aldo - I will post some pics as soon as they arrive. Thanks for the complement re the Avatar - they are my Aldo Altantic City Heels - as I am a boot man, its unusual for me to find shoes I love!

  6. Hi - as you can see I am new to this site - so hello, this is a great site and I look forward to taking part!

I am looking to replace my worn out, but much loved Amanda Thigh high boots from Italainheels.com

However, I would like to get a pair of proper black leather crotch high boots in thier place.

I have never had a pair of crotch high boots, so dont really know where to start for a good quality pair. I have google'd etc, but they all tend to look quite cheap and plasticy.

    I have about £250 - £300 to spend??

Any tips or pointers would be appreciated!

  7. Its never to hot for boots in the UK! If its hot, you just have to take it 'easy' in your boots! Personally, I like the way boots feel different in the summer compared to the winter. More clingy in the summer and more lose and cold against your leg in the winter! I probably dont wear my thigh highs quite so much in the summer though!

  8. Im not sure why I first took the step to wear heels - but I remember I was away with my family when I saw a pair of high heeled boots in a store we visited. I snuk back there later on and brought them in a size 8 - (which was too small) - but I could not wait to get them back home. I crammed my feet in and loved it - I have not really looked back since!

  9. Hello! First of, what a great site this is, I have been lurking for a while but really wanted to get more involved so here I am! I have been wearing high heels - almost exclusively high heeled boot, since I was about 17. I started with really cheap pairs of boots from shops where they have complete sets on display, so all you had to do was walk in, pick up a pair of size 9's and walk to the checkout - to be honest the boots were mostly rubbish quality and did not fit or look that good either! So I quickly moved on to Faith - I loved thier boots and was gutted when they vanished! My favourite high street shop is now Aldo - I love thier range and the fact they stock the majority of styles in a 9 / 42. There clearance sale is brilliant at the moment - I hope this does not mean they are going the same way I also have an occasional made moment a spend far to much on a pair: Italianheels Amanda thigh boots are perfect, I love my Amanda boots, but my current pair needs replacing as I have worn them out - so I had better get saving as a new pair costs about £250 all in!! I also brought a pair of Jimmy Choo Orchid knee high boots rescently - there are the most beautiful boots I have ever owned - but as a word of warning, Jimmy Choos are a very very very narrow fit, the lenght of the foot was fine, but i could not get my foot into the boots - GUTTED!! So thats me - a boot loving guy with a passion for great boots! I look forward to adding more to this site! :wavey:
