  1. I work in healthcare. Heels are not allowed. Health and safety etc. But more often than not I will now drive to work in heels and change in the car park. Total agreement re womens clothes esp jeans. Just bought a couple a pairs of jeans today. A bootcut and a flared pair.

  2. Transformation. As well as comfort and femininity. I feel transformed. Something happens. Physically , psychologically even spiritually. Sort of feeling authentic and genuine. The person I really am is revealed. And I'm complete. Healed. Words don't seem to convey the effect. But it's a powerful feeling for sure. Sorry for the incoherent chatter Oh yeah and as pointed out earlier... because I can. And because I can I will.

  3. In the meantime you could go for a chunkier heeled shoe or boot. Dress the body you have, not the one you aspire to. Put those stilettos in a place where they will constantly remind you of your aspirations and let them become a reward for meeting your weight loss goals. Drastic weight loss changes you (I know, having lost 55 pounds myself). It will change your sense of style as well. A whole new world of fashion opens up to you once you are in your ideal weight range.

Oh, and a warning. Shopping for clothes becomes fun when you realize how much easier it is to look good in clothes you wouldn't have dared to wear before.

Yeah you're right. I've lost loads of weight in the past. Everything changes. Especially confidence and positivity. I'm investigating boots now. Short stiletto and chunky/cuban heels.

Thanks again. I'm feeling more and more heeled.

  4. I bought these for street heeling. Very comfy. Only £10. A bargain.

Buying them was a nice experience.

I really wanted UK size8 but they only had 9's. I asked the shop attendant if I could return them if too big. She said they'd probably be okay with an insole. "would you like me to put them in for you?" I said that'd be great.

She knew they were for me. She knew I knew she knew etc. A very nice person. Non judgmental. Helpful.

Uplifted and positive I went straight to my fave cafe. Put them on and street heeled the rest of the day. Only my 2nd heel outing. But I didn't care.

I enjoyed hearing the click-clack of my heels on the pavement and catching my reflection in the shop windows.

Danielp6406 thanx for the nice welcome. Shame those boots are discontinued. There are similar one available here but not as nice.

  5. Way too expensive of course but they beautiful. There are some nice 3 strap heels as alternatives. I've tried fake CL's. They were awful. Shoddy and cheap. One of the heels felt as if it was about to collapse. Uncomfortable and unusable. They're in the trash now.

  6. I love the look. Natural yet quite striking. You got it just right. Don't think I have the build/height for that look. Bootcut or flared jeans Tshirt and leather jacket. Rock look with heels sort of thing. ps.. Just wanna say it was this thread that got me street heeling. I'm very grateful to you for your story. An inspiration. Cheers

  7. Got some nice boots this week. Only 3" heel. After the 5" KG's drivings a cinch now. I really enjoy driving in heels now. Only took a few go's ang I'm a natural. Getting in and out of the car is now a whole new pleasure and thrill. I'm hooked.

  8. I'm 5'5" but overweight. Also quite heavy set , a situation worsened by years of powerlifting in the late 80's/90's. So although I love 5-6" stiletto's its not a good aesthetic for public heeling. So that'll a remain a private pleasure for now. Being here has given me fresh impetus to do something about it. Daily training - running , cycling , swimming. But No weights Dieting too. Joined a slimming club! Enrolling in yoga class next week. I wanna get the look that I'm happy with to allow me to street heel stilettos. Hopefully this summer. In the meantime its boots of varying types. Shopping for more boots this week. C ya later I'm off training now. 5 mile run.

  9. I'm fully anticipating some heckling at some point. Like to think I'm ready for it. So this sort of thread would be great. Would like to hear about peoples experiences and how they reacted.

  10. Yes driven twice recently. One time with 5" Kurt Geigers. Initially a bit weird. A manual car so clutch was a learning curve. 10 mile trip to work. Really enjoyed it. Its amazing how natural things become quite quickly. Plan to heel drive much more en route to street heeling.

  11. Hi everyone. Just wanted to say thanks to everyone here for all the wisdom and experiences you've written about. Given me inspiration to street heel for the first time yesterday and second time today. What a feeling. I can't tell you. Both pretty spontaneous. Too much planning and I'd have talked myself out of it. The first time. I was getting ready for a niteshift and I have a new pair of KG's by Kurt Geiger to break in and had an hour to kill. So I was wearing around the house. Washing the dishes , tidying around etc and before I realized it was time to leave for work. A snap decision. Popped my work shoes in my bag and left the house with the KG's on! It was dark. Couple of people passed by. I was enjoying the clicking of my heals on the concrete. Got in the car and realized I'd never driven in heels but I thought "he who hesitates is lost". So off I went. Had to stop at a petrol station to use the ATM. A brief pause. Collected my thoughts. Out I got. 2 people filling their cars. Strode across the forecourt to the ATM. Very exciting. Had to concentrate to keep my posture and purpose. Stood at the ATM. Even angling my foot and lifting it up to show my heel. Got back to my car. Elated. I think the attendant noticed. Not sure about other customers. Changed shoes when I got to work. All nite I was going over my success. I'd driven and been in public places with my KG's. The most difficult part? Was actually walking down my drive which has a fair incline accentuated by the 5"/2" KG's. Thanks again y'all. Second time out to follow soon. Even better for me.

  12. Used to get all my heels online. Still do occasionally. Much prefer seeing and feeling the shoes before I buy. A great feeling to be in a shoe store full of heels. Had no problems buying in stores. Only recently have I street heeled. What a buzz. Will share my experiences on another thread.
