  1. That would be lovely. Actually, I suspect it would be very tiring. But no, it's the words that have colours, so the rattle and hum of conversation doesn't do it (though 'rattle' and 'hum' are white and brown respectively). I have heard of people who see colours when they hear other sounds, sometimes even music. A couple of others on HH place have similar. Have you read the Girl in the Raspberry Shoes thread? It was years till I knew it wasn't the same for everyone.

  2. Oh yes, I see that you have. Sorry!

  3. Oh no, no sensory overload. It's just my normality, I can't imagine it any other way. A while ago I visited the UK Synaesthesia Association (I kid you not) web site. Part of their home page is written in sort of dark aqua marine text and I was surprised how difficult I found it to read. I never realised how much I use the colours when I read. But the coloured text interfered with the colours of the words. I was once planning to write a novel using the colours to paint pictures. Typical of me, I couldn't decide to start with a poem. Well, that's because I'm a rubbish poet. But I soon realised that I didn't have the skill and no-one would get it anyway. I'm going to have to go on a search now, because I can't remember what I wrote about the Mona Lisa, unless you're enough of a gentleman to remind me. You're so kind, I should give you something. Here it is; in my head your username is a sort of metallic silver/blue. Hope you like it. Megan

  4. I'll have to be more discreet next time I'm contemplating an art heist.

  5. Thank you for your :-). I'm in need of a :-) today.

  6. I scroll down and find in For the Girls  an entry in 'Has anyone had probl...'  They're a poor choice of men, I know, but there are some who might be drawn in by your particular skills.
