  1. I believe in Equality in Fashions and I'm a non-comformist and enjoy some little thrills in wearing heels because I think they're both powerful and sexy and they are both comfortable and attractive than the shoes made for men and men's shoes bore me stiff, I feel more in touch with the feminine aspects of my personality. There's an element of feeling feminine for me too, but it may also be a desire to say 'screw society' I'll wear what I want If the shoe fits and it's sexy. .

  2. Utilikilts are a good first choice because they look & are

cut as a kilt -- definitely male wear :) Plus they look great!!:)

Leg pain was why I started wearing pantyhose and I have never stopped and like you I wear with my kilts or skirts with with gogo boots with 3" heels out comments.

  3. Somehow, combat boots just don't go with skirts, in my opinion. Lose the big heavy clunky footwear and substitute more form fitting heeled knee high boots, heeled sandals, or mules and I'm all for the new look.

    What do others think?

I'm with you when it comes the ugly combat boots, I hate the look of heavy clunky footwear and they look out of place with skirts. I like to wear gogo boots with 3" heels with my skirts or kilts. I think many guys have a fear of being call gay if they wear "more form fitting heeled knee high boots, heeled sandals, or mules" I just got my new sandals and they look great with dark brown pantyhose and skirt or kilt. Here are some of the heels that I I have or wish to get, to wear with my hose and skirts at party's or around town clubing.

    Hello Dawn,

I just did some shopping through the net the other day with Zappos and the heels came today. I had to replace my old GOGO boots and I'm now wearing Brown Leather Wood grain style wedge 3 3/4" heel as I send this message and as for the GOGO boots they have 2 3/4" heel, both are fabulous.

The wedge heels I paid $82 dollars and $51 dollars for the GOGO boots.

  5. Although this has been a delayed triptik, going home from Oakland via Phoenix to JFK, I was wearing a grey "French Connection" top, black patent belt, the black "Fire" jeans and the lace-up black suede Newport News boots. And to me, amazingly, no comments! Some looks yes, but not a word!

Great pictures! where did you get the fire jeans?

  6. I like hanes, legs, no-nonsense, and some other brands. I have actually been buying slikies at a dollar store that hold up pretty well. Im not really picky, or have too many problems with runs. Just need to make sure your hands are free of things that will snag them.

I LOVE the feel of nylon on my legs, shaved all the time...

    You got that right!

"I LOVE the feel of nylon on my legs" With or without nylons the feeling is gorgeous after shaving and going to bed.

  7. I live in San Diego,CA but if I still have a job next year would love to head over and have a great day shopping and dinner other heel lovers. It would be great if there was a group here in Southern calif. too.

Why not start out with a conventional heel meet? Announce a time and place to meet for lunch or supper, and then go shoe shopping at a mall afterward for a couple of hours. That's what we did in Canton last year, and it worked out great. We had lunch at a local restaurant, went across the street to a DSW shoe store, then over to an upscale mall where we poked into the stores, had a snack, and browsed until our feet got tired. It was a fun afternoon and we enjoyed getting to know each other. We're going to do it again July 11.

Once you get people together and see if there is good compatibility, you can take it further, and maybe meet at somebody's home for drinks or a BBQ or whatever. You'll figure it out.

Good Luck, and if I'm ever in your area, I'll contact you to join the group.

  8. Indeed it is a mental hurdle, the height of which is determined by your location. Central London - Manhattan are two places where the hurdle is really low and you would have to be a limbo expert for it to stop you getting out in some sort of heel, but it isn't universal. Some places your whole body is not welcome, let alone what you have on your feet.

Its why I am such a devotee of cuban heels, these are a good half way house.

    Simon.

It looks as if the rest of the world is stating to open up. I just found a web site with pictures that had been take in Russia and the Hollywood and the Fashion world may be coming around.

  9. One place I like to buy hose from is Silkies, they have a very good selection of anything you need. I have never had any problems with runs or snags or anything like that. Their prices are very reasonable. Their site is www.silkies.com

    Yes MikeB,

I also get my pantyhose more and more from silkies and every month they send you your order that you have set up and you can change that order.

  10. Go to http://www.comfilon.com they have hose for men that wear a long time, some even have a men's opening.

But, for a guy to wear them in the summer is silly, as guys sweat too much and any will be too hot.

    Frodo

Microfabric™ men's sheer pantyhose can be seen through easily and it is very lightweight. Think of it as invisible underwear and socks for men! Microfabric is thin and breathable; it promotes rapid evaporation of perspiration. Dryness keeps legs and feet cool in summer, warm in winter, and comfortable all the time. Dry feet also inhibit bacteria growth and consequently minimize foot odor. Perfect for cooler weather, they provide some warmth outdoors, and aren't too hot indoors like thermal underwear can be.

These styles of male pantyhose are intended to replace men's socks and underwear with one comfortable garment. Order them in skin-matching color for invisible cool barefoot or bare leg look, or in contrasting color for socks look. If you prefer additional underwear and/or socks, that is your choice; do what makes you comfortable. All styles feature a knit-in comfortable waistband. These styles are intended to be worn under athletic or other shorts and trousers; the brief is too transparent to be worn exposed.

Yes go to Camfilon's ACTIVSKIN for pantyhose, they have added some great new things too.

  12. For those of you who have been following my posts and personal journey of gradually wearing in public all the fashion styles I like, know by now that high heel shoes/boots are only an accessory to a total look I'm interested in, a look regarded by society as feminine/crossdressing yet by me...a badass/confidence booster look.

I've always been a big boot fan. I ride horses and riding boots have always been fun to wear. A good quality riding boot worn over a pair of breeches does wonders to a womans look (one of the reasons I started riding many years ago). When I wear my breeches and boots (they are Cavallo boots, a high quality german brand) I always get a ton of compliments so I guess women like that look on men. Lucky for me, English style riding is considered a womans sport in Western Canada. Male riders are rare and guys think that only gay men ride, another stupid stereotype yet very beneficial for a guy like me who is surrounded by women with no competition.

However, the problem with good quality real leather riding boots is that they are designed for riding. They need to be stiff fo protection purposes as well as competitions where you are judged by your appearence. Dressage boots are by far the most elegant since that riding sport is all about elegance. Heaven forbid they'll slouch. So wearing real riding boots as fashion boots is very uncomfortable and makes you walk like a robot.

I've been looking for fashion riding boots for quite some time. Since I have enough black boots, I wanted a different color. I've always liked cognac colored boots.

Yesterday I've received my latest purchase, a pair of "Pour la Victoire" brand letaher cognac knee high/otk boots with a 1 inch heel. The boot type is "Malorie". Basically, they look like tall riding fashion boots, a very popular style with the ladies these days...and myself heheh. They also make very nice clicking sounds since the heel is made of wood.

I took them out for a test run today. I'm still quite self aware of my look when wearing tall boots over skinny jeans, flats or high heeled boots. It's simply one of those looks that scream for attention. With the boots I wore a pair of Levis blue skinny jeans, a striped dress shirt and a brown leather belt. I really liked how I looked and the boots were exactly what I was looking for.

First stop was Future shop (electronics store like Best Buy). I had to buy a few things and wondered around the store (which was pretty empty) for a good 20 minutes. I spoke to 2 young salesmen, a guy and a girl in their early 20's. The girl didn't seem to even notice the boots and pointed me to the right direction.

The guy however, although he didn't say anything specific with regard to my look, did seem to take special interest in me. He was very helpful and nice. He asked me if I had been to the store before. I told him that I've been there many times and he said that he never saw me. It seemed like he was one step away from asking for my phone number. Luckily, he didn't. :winkiss:

Before leaving the store I had to stop by at a counter to get a bag for my purchases. The girl there examined me while I walked towards her. She was very polite. Just before leaving she said "I like your boots". I thanked her and went on my way.

My next stop was Walmart. I spent about 15 minutes in there walking around yet didn't notice any stares or double takes. I left Walmart and drove to my local Safeway. 10 minutes, and a few stares later I was on my way home.

That concluded my first outing in my new boots, a regular outing for me.

This is how I looked like:

Max, how can I get the boots?

    Max,

How can I get this boots like the ones you are wearing and what was the price?

  14. Hello Max,

You said "Lets be honest here, as long as people don’t talk to you or here your side of the story, they’ll think that I crossdress anyway just by wearing low block heels. They’ll think that I’m gay as well. I had no problem with that perception while wearing stilettos in public so why think otherwise while wearing a dress as a guy. So, it seems yet again that I'm the one that's putting boundries on my fashion desires. I always liked the shot skirt look on me but was concerned of that image in public. It took a while to get over the concern to wear a knee length skirt as well" Well I like the way you think, I'd like to envite you and any one that feels the same as Max, I found a yahoo group the skirtman that is pushing Equality in Fashions http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Skirtman/ I hope I have not broken any rules here but I think the more people push for fashions freedom for men the better and I think the owner and Moderator can use a little help too.

  15. I have boots with shafts from shoe to ankle to calf to knee-high. At home I wear them with jeans or skirts. While out, it's just with jeans, usually only while driving.

    Hello friends,

I just got new boots that go up to the knee and they have 2 1/2" heels and I'll be wearing them with skirt or kilt and out side of my jeans. They are just fabulous to wear, I picked them up at snaz57

  16. I'm not into such flats at all, but wearing boots over your pants is OK. I've already noticed some guys wearing mid-calf or knee-high boots over jeans in Poland, so I hope that the trend will catch on.

I wear my low heel boots over my pants and they are knee-high too, I wear with dress pants jeans or my kilt and never had any thing said.
