  1. I've driven in heels since I began driving. It never seemed to be a problem for me until once my 5 inch heel got caught on my floormat. I didn't get in an accident, just got really scared for a minute. Since then I secured my floormats.

  2. I've seen Payless change as well. The Payless near me has reduced its stock to accomodate sizes up to 9 1/2! So, I can't buy shoes there anymore anyway. They used to carry some nice heels sometimes, but I see more sneakers and flats now. Their boot assortment this winter was horrendous. All low, most clunky.

  3. I have changed the colour of both leather and suede shoes. For suede, try Suede Renew spray by Meltonian. It comes in an aerosol can and in different colours. It doesn't rub off and doesn't harm the nap of suede. It's also waterproof. For leather, I use leather dye from a saddle shop. It works better then the shoe dyes I find in the stores, and is easy to use.

  4. I have never found shoes to be much of a bonding thing for my life. Most, if not all of my female friends preferred sneakers or flat shoes to heels. They usually thought I had, dare I even type it, too many shoes in the first place. I guess it depends on the women. I have found to get along better with men on the whole anyway. It's kind of interesting, as my male friends will notice my new shoes or dress, and will show more interest than my female friends. In my experience, my male friends are more honest and not in competition as females can be... (Not trying to offend anyone, just my point of view!!)

  5. I started wearing heels at 7. I was doing ballet folklorico dancing since I was 7, and we wore 2 inch heels to dance in. (Ballet Folklorico is Spanish Dancing, like Flamenco..) Anyway, since I pretty much 'grew up' in heels, I got really comfortable wearing them. I had dance practise 3 days a week, and had performances a number of times a month. My feet were strong from doing years of classical ballet, too. I have loved heels ever since, and now buy really tall heels, 5 inches and up.

  6. I agree it is hard to find larger sizes. I am a woman who wears a size 10. The selection at shoe stores is limited for people who wear size 10 and up. I had my first good experience about my shoe size, though. A shoe store was going out of business a few months ago, and all they had left were sizes 10 and 11. Ha! Finally, we the larger-footed shoe buyers had our choice! Needless to say, I bought 5 pairs of boots and felt really happy.

  7. I have emailed the Little Shoe Box regarding ballet boots and never got a reply. I guess they are either very busy, or not interested in selling product via online buyers. I am in California and have been looking for women's size 10 ballet boots. I am still looking..
