  1. bah, wife tells me i'm old and things have changed since my college days...whatever, my experience was from

15 years ago so take from that what u will.

I think your wife is right in that many things have changed. I very often see university kids on my way to work and I could tell you that half of them are dressed in a way I don't think I could have achieved several years before.

These days it is not uncommon for me to see guys wearing man purses, scarfs (not winter ones), sunglasses as big as those women wear and skinny jeans.

Besides I think crossdressing for the sake of being thought gay and not ridiculed isn't such a great idea if you are straight. You would probably want to meet women and date and being thought gay doesn't seem helpful.

I would say go for it I don't think nothing terrible will happen.

  2. Great looking "classic black patent pump" that is the corner stone of any well dressed person's wardrobe. Every lover of high heels should have at least one pair classic pumps in their collection. And, perhaps, an identical pair in red and white. They can be worn with every outfit.

Congratulations on your purchase. Wear them with confidence and pride.

Like the little black dress for women? :)

  3. I'm glad to hear that your health is well! We need our heelers healthy  Also very interesting outing. Standing an hour in a 5" heel seems painful at least to the untrained person. Which boots were you wearing?

  4. It all boils down to education. If more folks had a decent crack at their education (and also travelled a bit more), then they would have a far more balanced view of what is 'bad' and what is not.

I think you nailed it right in the head!

  5. I agree in that they are not my style but I wouldn't criticize anyone for loving those shoes. What I do like is the fact that the chains are removable. So many times I've seen shoes that I like but wished they didn't have chains or some other accessory.

  6. I agree M-a, Women fought for their right to wear pants so it's not like you've had it easy all this time and you still don't. Let us remember that not so long ago a woman in Sudan got 20 lashes for wearing pants!! There is still a lot of bigotry in the world and we should not care if men or women have it harder but instead work in changing the way people think.

  7. Men used to wear skirted garments in the past - ancient Egypt,Rome,Greece - you name it.Anatomically is the better garment for males (three legs fit better in a tube than in 2 tubes ). And not to forget - genders must be equal not only from women's perspective!A skirt, blouse and heels, tailored jacket complete a nice outfit (worn as a man, not as a CD with fake boobs etc.) - much better than drab "male" mode. This is my opinion, no offence to anyone regarding the last sentence.

I agree with your opinion if, and only if, that is what you prefer! And I didn't take any offence at all :)

In my opinion everyone should be able to go out wearing whatever they preferred; even fake boobs or a pair of underwear on the outside. After all we are talking fashion preferences only.

  8. Dawn HH, Thank you for your words of encouragement. The shoes I have are fine height wise; I don't have pain in the arch or elsewhere due to the height it is just the sole area that bothers me. I did try going out in 4" shoes at first but to be honest I could not walk very long before giving up. However, I think that if the 3" shoes had a platform I would not have any problems. I went to payless today looking for something that would have a ~3" heel with a platform but sadly I could not find anything; at least nothing that I liked and that was more discreet.

  9. I have sometimes phoned a shop before visiting and asked if they stock shoes in my size. The response will be very informative, anything from being called a pervert to a very friendly of course we do come in and try some on. Guess where I go?

Wow! You get called a perv for asking about shoe sizes?

  10. I did try the shoes on before getting them but they were cheap as I only bought them for practicing (as I obviously can't walk in 4" heels). The heel is very similar to this one only with a 3" heel http://stuartweitzman.zappos.com/n/p/dp/59006334/c/828.html

The shoes do feel comfortable in every aspect as long as I don't walk more than a block with them, that is when the pain starts.

I tried twisting the shoes and they can bend from the front. I have never sustained any damage to my feet but do have flat feet.

So I guess the lesson I'm getting here is always buy quality and I should try heels that are not pointy (although in this case that is not really an issue).

I bought some padding for the ball area, I will let you know if that helped.

Thank you all for your input.
