I have a pair of the Jones boots with 5" heels in US size 9... They would be ok, if they didn't run at least one size too big... Otherwize, they are very well made and I would order from him again.. I may get a pair made with 4" heels..

I agree with the girlfriends' judgement...

None that I'm aware of..... key word, : aware.... But I'd bet that in my circle of acquaintences, there's probably one or more guys who would like to, or do; wear heels....
-
Aside from seeing plenty of guys wearing "normal" cowboy boots with around 2" heels, I've never seen a guy wearing anything higher... If I ever do happen across a guy in heels, I'll definatly be forthcoming with a complement...

Spectacular, as usual...

I think there is something really bad wrong with your publisher. Anything showing more "skin" wouldn't do you "justice." If your publisher want's something "sexer" -- have him google some "girly" sites. And ruin the appearance of his entire magazine.
I agree, 100%.. Keep it classy..

I can relate to that... I was at the store one evening not too long ago standing at the cash register ready to check out when a group of late-teens, maybe 20's got in line behind me... I heard one girl laugh and say "he's soo gay"...Of course everyone was looking by then, and it was the pair of 3" heel cowboy boots that i'm wearing in my avatar<... I wanted to just drop the few odds and ends I had and head out the door.. It set me back a ways.. I've only been out in anything over 3", maybe 2 times since (without incident I might add).. I've become a good bit more aware of my surroundings.. The only other time I recall that feeling was when I asked a woman out for lunch without checking the left ring finger.....and it was a HUGE wedding ring I might add!... She was very polite about it, but I felt like I wanted to crawl under a rock....

I have to say, all of the above... It depends on who's wearing them I guess, because at one time or the other all the styles mentioned have made me go, "wow!"...

I've been contemplating buying myself a present here lately (a pair of boots), but I just have not seen much that strikes me... I've seen quite a few that I like, but noting that made me say "must have them!"... I may break down and go for a pair of Newrocks that I have been wanting for a while now..

I've been out one or two evenings in the last few months, but it's just so hot here; and will be for at least another month, that I just don't care to get dressed up past a t-shirt and shorts.. Hopefully it will cool off enough by mid october..

Give him a wink , and smile..

Cool boots and great reaction on the girls part...congrads

Counting the shoes and boots, I'd guess it's about 50/50... I don't really care so much if they are labeled "mens" or "womens", it's just how they look and fit that matters to me..

^What the Dr. said, x2....>sigh<

I learned my lesson about heels & wet surfaces... Walking into a restaurant that has a tile entry way one evening after a rain.. I got right to the door and as I opened it, one foot slid right out from under me like it was on ice.. Had I not been still holding onto the door, it could have been ugly...

2 pair of Jessica Simpsons ("Alpine", which I love, and "Tulip") 1 pair of Guess which are a western style 2 pair of Old Gringos.. 1 pair of Fryes.. 1 pair of sketchers in black suede..only pair stiletto heels I have. 1 pair of Corral boots 1 pair of Luchesse mens boots 1 pair of Jones Boots with 5" heels 1 pair of genuine chinese junk black suede OTK boots that would be almost cool, if they didn't smell like glue.. 2 pair of Canyon River Blues boots 1 pair of Durango mens cowboy boots.. I think that's it...

Not bad, Mr. X.. Only thing I might do different is loose the belt..

With reguards to the group mentallity... I've always said that in general, a person is smart, but people are stupid...
-
Just some laughs and a "He's sooo gay" from some grubby looking late teen-maybe early 20's kids.. Two boys and two girls, who were all wearing essentially the same t-shirts, shorts, and flip flops, I might add... Mostly though, just odd or quizical looks, and a complement or two...

Oh great.. Over 2" are for gays, huh?.. So in 5" heels, I must be absolutely flaming!... Flaming heterosexual, that is...
-
Yup!

Yes... But I would think it would be more from peer pressure.. Women, especially younger women; can be quite brutal and jealous towards other women when it comes to clothes and shoes, ect..
i hate designer heels

I like some of them... Could even afford a pair, and maybe-maybe-maybe even fit in a pair, if I really wanted them.... But to justify the cost....probably not... not even if men in designer heels were common place....
