  1. I have to ask. Did you wear those electric blue platforms pumps to work as well?

Hey Shafted, I did in fact wear them to work, however, I work in a quiet office with the SO and the other staff hardly ever come in as they all operate externally.

  2. I always used to prefer single sole shoes and could not understand the fasination with platforms, but recently shoes such as these have begun to make me think that there are a few pairs that can look stylish. post-15565-0-38562300-1353912947_thumb.j

  3. Just a friend's birthday party out the other side of krugersdorp, hehe, a very afrikaans area and im sure the neighbours will be quite concerned, friends wont give a damn (i hope:smile:)

  4. Hello all fellow heelers! Just thought I would share my excitement in one of the few places that I can. I've never been able to pluck up the courage to wear my heels out in public (only ever dared wearing a pair into work early one morning, knowing I would be the only one in, and then later changing them before any one else got here), but it would appear that I finally have a chance to gain some confidence. Next weekend I have been invited to a dress up party where the theme is WTF, and sure enough, I will be going in complete drag (although not quite what I would choose, as I am not one for crossdressing). So my girlfriend, being a hair and makeup artist, will be having lots of fun playing with me. But most importantly, I'll be wearing my boots in the presence of a large group of friends:silly::wavey::silly: Pics might soon follow:winkiss:

  5. Im sure my story is a lot like most guys. As a child I was always amazed by my mother's ability to strut around in her HUGE collection of heels (seriously, she had so many shoes that she had pairs in everyone's closet in the house). She always seemed to have a walk about her that just radiated confidence. Eventually, when I was about 10, my mother had decided that she needed to keep a pair of black, leather and suede, knee-high stiletto boots in my closet. I had seen her in them before and was instantly captivated by them. I couldn't wait to have the chance to wear them. Later that night, sure enough my door was closed and I opened the box with such anticipation that I was shaking. As I zipped up each boot, I knew where my mother's confident stride came from. I lay back on the bed and admired the boots for the rest of the night. Needless to say, I was only happy to have my mother keep more shoes in my closet:silly:

  6. How exciting for you! I really hope this means you will be sharing some of your links/pictures of your favorite heels. :)

As soon as I get a chance with a good mirror I plan to take some pics of my boot collection :wavey:

Happy to be a part of the (small) South African heeling community.

  7. how does your girfriend feel now about your wearing of heels. is she used to it now.

Heya, she does not seem to be phased by it at all, last night following an early dinner after work we headed home and I spent the night in a pair of my boots while she was in her favourite pumps.

  8. Hi all, I found High Heel Place a while back and have been spending some time reading through the forums slowly but surely. Being a guy who has an interest in wearing heels, I have been amazed at the level and amount of support for such. My girlfriend has known for a while now that I have quite the fondness for stilettos and has always been willing to wear them for me. Thanks to having read through a few posts, I had managed to build up the courage to be able to tell my GF that I have always wanted to try wear a pair of stilettos. Despite her being unsure as to why I want to (not aided by my lack of understanding it), she is thankfully open to the idea and has allowed me to buy a few pairs now and practice my strut :) So basically, this is just a post to all the members of this site to say THANK YOU! It's good to know that there is a place where I am safe to experience who I am.:wavey:
