  1. Ok, as you all know I have been coming up with all kinds of reason's not to wear a skirt with heels. My biggest reason is cause I say I can't find an shoe's that look good with this or that. Well I think I don't have an reason not too anymore. The other day I had posted about picking up some boot's at kmart. Well when I bought them I was not sure as to how they would look with a skirt escpcially my dark blue Izod skirt. So this morning since I didn't have anything better to do I figured I would take some pictures and see how they looked. So my surprise I think they look great. I have been challanged twice by both my old and new counsular to wear a skirt and heels, but I never do. Now I think I can accepet there challange. Here are a few picture's of 2 diffrent outfit's I am thinking about wearing this week. It's been quite cold and snowy here the past few day's so it may be all dependent on the weather. Tell me what you guys think!

The picture posted is me in my Izod jeans skirt, with suntan leggs hose, and my boot's. The other picture I have posted in this thread would be of me wearing a suit skirt, suntan hose, and my black pump's with a purple shirt. Let me know what everyone thinks.

Those boots look great! I like the skirt too! Great choice.

  2. We went to Durban this past weekend and as usual we went to do some shopping at Gateway Mall. Needless to say we did buy some shoes. At Rage I bought the beige ankle boots on a sale for only R295.00 ($42) for myself but when my wife tried them on, well she claimed them, the silver ankle boots I bought at another shop for only R95.00 ($13) also a sale and the greenish wedge sandals for R119 ($17) another sale, with, wait for it with a 13 cm (5”) heel. I tried them on this morning for a short while, they are so comfortable and I managed very well with the high heels. Cannot wait for tonight to walk some more until bed time.

Thanks for sharing. Great choices on your shopping trip. I like the ankle boots best!

  3. Hi Shoe and Boot Lovers,

I bought my first shoe at Steve Madden yesterday, the CARYSSA, which is is a dead ringer for Bakers' VICTORIA, except I never got that one in a neutral blush color and, for some reason, Steve Madden's styles seem to run bigger than Bakers' do. I had a very nice conversation with the SA as I tried on these pumps which have a 5.6" heel like the VICTORIA does. One thing Steve Madden does differently is they have a list they can show you of what styles they carry (on hand) in size 11 which is great importance to forumers here.

Nice choice! I have been looking at Steve Madden's Caryssa on Zappos, awesome shoe!

  4. Haven't made any purchases for a long time, until recently. These would be my latest ones. I'm almost guilty of stealing, with the prices I paid for these. I'm not totally in love with the color selection, but as they say -beggars can't be choosers.

    1st and 2nd pic: Charles David, 4"

    3rd pic: Pleaser, ~3.75"

    4th pic: Nine West, 3"

Size 10, 11, 10.5, but they all fit about the same to me!

I like the Pleasers the best! Nice choice

  5. Hi,

    http://www.solestruck.com/jeffrey-campbell-charli-c-black-calf/index.html

Its no exaggeration to say that my decades-long dream of walking on perfect wooden platform clogs has finally come true :) Good fit, very high but walkable (if i'm careful and don't try them on round-stone pavements), they even look masculine, go well with my dark brown velvet suite and big eyeglasses.

My wife got the same pair in her size, so i'm eagerly waiting for a chance to go out together with her (doesn't happen too often in a two-career family with little kids), both wearing these babes.

    Happy Heeling :)

Awesome clogs! Can't wait to hear of the two of you going out wearing them!

  6. all

    been a while

Think I have bought a pair of cone heeled courts from Zara a month ago or so; however was in Matalan yesterday and bought these.

Simple pair of wedge heeled, laced / zipped calf boots sort of in the current walking boot style. Happen to be able to comfortably fit UK7 / EU41 (2 sizes smaller than I used to have to buy; love the fact that I am modifying my feet by my shoes)

Don't come across too well in the photos but think they look quite cute and certainly make my feet seem a lot smaller :-) wearing with a long pair of flared boot cut jeans, feel a lot more confident about broad daylight heeling.

    Great boots! I luv them!

  7. Left to right:

    • Ariat brand from Zappos, about $80. These are leather with a soft, slightly flexible sole. Every time I put them on, my feet sigh with relief at the smooth, soft inside. Heel: 3 inches, sole: 1 1/4.
    • l.e.i., a Wal-Mart house brand, $15. They originally had a moccasin style fringe which I didn't like, so I cut it off. They feel OK standing and walking, but they wouldn't be my first choice for a day on my feet. Heel: 4 3/4, sole: 1 1/4.
    • Olsenboye, "Exclusively at J.C. Penney," $40. Arrived yesterday and I really like wearing them. They've already pumped gas and been to the supermarket. 100% man made, and reasonably comfortable and walkable. Heel: 4 1/2, sole: 1 1/2.

Great clogs! I luv the Olsonboye and the L.e.i. are too cute! That has always been one of my fav brands. I am so glad clogs are in style again!

  8. my bride to be and I were in the local mall at Macy's where I purchased a pair of Alfani's platform pumps with a 4" heel. I got them home and slipped into them. They are very comfortable and easy to walk in. My bride to be only comment was " they seem so basic" and my reply was "yes, that is what I like about them".

    Great shoe choice!

Two new pair of heels. The red pair are from Faith and the blue pair are from Barratts

The red pumps are my fav!

  9. Yesterday I bought these Knee high boots from Lonte. Incredible suede quality, amazing.

    Heel is just 9.8cm (3" 9/10) and have a small 1.2cm (1/2") platform. Shaft is 45cm (17" 3/4)

They are slip on which is a bit of a drawback as I have a very high arc and are not so easy to get into. I prefer the half zip in the inside instead.

Hope you enjoy the pictures. I'll post more soon.

Great boots! Thanks for sharing Enjoy!

  10. Great thread! Looks like a lot of flats fans! I too like to wear flats and loafers, usually black. I also like to wear Reebok Princess sneekers, a nice change of pace!
