This might sound rude though its not meant to be rude at all.. For a size that big, your not really going to have much of a selection and what is out there is going to be the lower-tiered items like Pleaser or Elle . Its rare to find a 12 US womens in designers let alone a UK 12!

    These arent that bad..

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/PLEASER-HIGH-HEEL-STILLETO-GOTH-FETISH-SANDAL-BUCKLES-SZ-14-/260889535280?pt=US_Women_s_Shoes&hash=item3cbe3a6330#ht_500wt_1146

More pleaser up to a US size 16. Im sure they make these in black..

Thanks for the help. I always thought a size 12 UK would be a size 16 US, especially for womens heels! But if it's a size 14 womens in US then im sure i can find something easy.

With a few moments on being on ebay i've found theese which i LOVE:

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/6-Heel-open-toe-zipper-leather-ankle-boot-size-14-/110762098708?pt=US_Women_s_Shoes&var=&hash=item5f78545281

    and these!

  2. Im reviving this again, for the simple reason that i've been browsing the web and I have yet to find a shop that caters to my foot that isn't: A. In the USA / USA sizings B. Aren't absolutly horrid styles! I've found that if you're around a size 12 UK Mens in heels... (roughly the same for womens, although the shoes I bought I could have probably gone in an 11, because the back has streched out making them impossible to walk in! Still need to find some insoles! But I digress) ... The only option you have for shoes are Hooker thigh-high boots, or 2 inch kitten heels! None of those really appeal to me. I like stilleto heel'd pumps and ankle boots. Now if anyone knows of any shops, in the UK, that cater to this kind of thing then let me know! If that be online, or in a city! I've heard that there are a few shops in the center of London, but I can't be sure! P.S -Edit- If anyone could help me find some black patent leather / leather 4-5inch ankel boots that would be great. Im looking for two pairs IDEALLY. I want one pair that is 5 inches, ideally leather but i can work with patent, slip-on (zip is fine, NO LACES) black boot, and a 3-4 inch black boot I can hide under my jeans, to get me started for public heeling.

  3. While im sure you've answered this hundred of times Jeff, I was wondering what made you decide to go out like this so often. Going by the age on your profile, you're 52? I was wondering when you decided to start wearing heels and bags in public, was it a gradual process or was it just all or nothing? I mean I dont really think I need an explanation as to WHY you do it, I know we all have that common ground in one way or another, but I guess im just more interested to hear your side of the story. I know a few "older" (considering im 19:silly:) gentleman who dress as you do, and they all said they got to around their late 40's, and thought "screw it, it's what i want to do, and im old enough to do what i want!", thus they started! Was it the same for you? P.S I am enjoying these "Jaunt's" a lot! It's funny that before I even knew about this forum, I saw a picture of you in the apple store as so many people have, on tumblr. The world we live in!

  4. 1. How old have you been, when you got your first heels? Around 18-19, was only a few months ago! 2. What was the reason? Like many other people here I loved heels, but finding them in a size 12 (mens) was painfully hard, once I found a pair I liked I decided to go for it! 3. Who paid the bill? I did. 4. How much did you spend? About £45 5. How and where did you buy? I got them through Amazon.co.uk!! 6. Were you allowed to wear them at home? In my bedroom I guess because no one knows about it, around the house with my parents? Heck no.

  5. You know, there are always idiots around. Just this week I had some teenagers scream obscenities at me because they didn't like the car I drive (A Prius). Actually, when I think of it rationally, I have been insulted more on the street for random crab than for my heels. I just think that when people make some negative comment about our heels we tend to feel it more, as it is a sensitive issue

It's funny you say that, because just this week I was standing outside my university, nothing remotly "wierd" about me at all. Im all male clothes, normal hair, normal everything! Anyway I was just talking to my friend I happened to bump into, and a guy from a truck started SCREAMING at me from his window as he drove by. I have NO idea what he was saying as I had one headphone in, and the other ear focusing on my friend. Nevertheless I was totally confused by the whole situation, however this is not the first time and won't be the last.

Though I have yet to wear my heels in public, I do wear make up, be it light or heavy and I can be very flamboyant, it depends on my mood. Im constantly getting looking or stares or whatever the case is, I guess I simply learned to ignore it.

Besides, I usually put in some Beyonce song with a beat and pretend im at NYFW hahaha.

  6. Greetings LiveAndLearn :-)

Nice shoes ! These are your first heels and you already endure pain wearing them ?

Why not make your heeling experience more enjoyable ?

You like the heels shape, height and platform of these shoes.

Did you ever consider wearing a boot with similar heel and platform ?

With a boot you will get better support and your feet won't slip toward the toe box.

You will be amazed to feel the difference and you will enjoy wearing them a lot more without pain !

You may want to give it a try and let us know ?

    Happy heeling !

Yes unfortauntly I am enduring pain when wearing them, however I am going to buy both insoles soon a long with some cushion-poitns to put on the inside for my toe. It seems to be both big toes but mainly the left, as my feet are SLIGHTLY different sizes too. But all the people I know who wear heels, both men and women, say that unfortauntly that is a factor when wearing heels.

I prefer boots, but finding NICE looking ankle boots in a size 12-13 is hard.

  7. do you have a link to where you bought them please :-) Well done and cant wait to see what you buy next, I warn you tho it can get adictive, I was at 63 pairs before I had a huge clearout...

    Andi

    I got them here: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B004KS6P5M/ref=oss_product

I bought heel pads for the back of my shoes but they didn't work. my shoes are fine if i take just a bit shorter than normal steps, but if i try to walk at normal pase my heels will pop out the back so, im not sure. I just tried my heels on with normal mens socks an they seem fine but they stil slip out so I mean im not sure.

    Nevertheless I love these heels

  8. Ahh, sounds like your foot is simply slipping forward in the shoe as you wear it.

Gel pads or insoles are what you need! They'll keep your foot stationary inside the shoe, taking the pressure off your toes and anchoring the back of the heel.

Also try tights or stockings. Allowing your foot to breath a little better in the shoe and removing the potential for 'sweaty feet' to cause you to slip around inside the shoes might help.

Just experiment with different things until you get to grips with what you need for those shoes.

    Chris

Im not a tights or stockings kind of guy, i've only worn tights once and that was part of an outfit to see lady gaga.

I'll try wearing them with socks or something and see what it feels like, and also i'll try to find some insoles or something. My toes quite hurt at the moment anyway as I was wearing my heels for about 10 hours if not more yesterday :)

  9. While pain is beauty, I do agree with you that the shoe has to be somewhat painless or comfortable. The only issue right now is that my big toes seems to be taking all the pressure, by pushing against the front of the shoe a lot. Im not sure if this is due to improper sizing or not, I mean my heels slips out the back sometimes so the shoe can't be any bigger, but if I got any smaller it wouldn't fit at all. Im thinking about getting some pads or insoles or something to try and help with it. Because it's almost like the shoe is pushing the nail down into my toe which obviously over time is never a good thing. Any insights?

  10. Six inchers for a first pair... Good Grief. :)

Cushoned insoles go a long way towards easing the pain. The goal is to enjoy your heels, not endure your heels.

    TBG

Believe it or not i've gotten uset to them already, i'm already dancing in them and everything, i love them!

My toes hurt a lot in them but I do have to endure it but it's so worth it!

And yes.... 6 inch platformed court shoes as a first, go hard or go home!

  11. Congratulations! They are terrific!!¨!

aren't they a pair of Nite Life?

What is your normal size and what size did you buy?

    Bye!

Indeed they are! And im a size 11-12 it depends but I got a size 12 and they're fine so far, my toes feel a bit squashed and sometimes the heel comes out when i walk but i've got some heel grips to fix that and yeah, im just adjusting to them

  12. Good for you ! I hope you get as much joy in wearing your heels as I do mine.

Remember Practice, Practice and more Practice. Don't forget to have fun in them to.

Thank you, and don't worry I am already dancing in them, im just learning to cope with the pain, but when you stand up for 9-12 hours a day in a retail shop, it's not a forigen feeling unfortauntly :)

  13. Im sorry for creating yet another new post, but im TOO excited to simply hold it all in! I managed to get my first pair of heels today. They're perfect, but being a 6 inch heel and a platform my feet are simply killing while having them on sitting down, but thats excted, they are my FIRST PAIR! hahahah Please excuse the legs!

  14. I just went through about 15 pages reading all of your outing stories. It's great to see you have such courage to wear what you want in public. I can realate as I started wearing make up out in public a few months ago and it's gotten heavier and heavier since haha. But anyway, I really enjoy reading your outing stories and I hope there are more to come! As I would say - You keep doin' you girl!

  15. It's absolutely great to hear of others wearing their heels to work and everyone is cool with it. It is a step beyond steet heeling which a small number of us have achieved. I do sense however that soon more will join the ranks.

I would love to be joining the ranks sooner rather than later! But I work in a supermarket and heels are prohibited, even for women. But who knows, I may just sneak on a pair as my feet will be under the till anyway :)

  16. Hello Bec, and welcome.

    Nice link, and good prices.

In another topic Adam tells us he's size 12 or Euro 45, so it narrows down his choice of stores.

Yeah sorry about that, well to add more to me like you said my feet are size UK mens 12, Euro 45 usually. And voerall my feet are wide, my famly usually tells me I have platapus feet :).

Im going into my first year of uni, doing a Bsc web design. I just finished college doing Software Development in which I finished top of my class and currently I am learning to drive, or at least waiting for my test to come around haha.

I'm sure you'll all learn more and me, and vice versa, through our many conversations on this forums!

  17. That pretty well rules out high street shops, then. :-(

However, there are plenty available in Internet stores and on Ebay, and depending on where you live you could visit a 'fetish' shop which might stock large sizes. A good place to start is Banana Shoes www.bananashoes.co.uk but there will be plenty of others. I'd advise you to ring these stores to explain your requirements. Don't be shy, lots of their customers are men, which is why they stock the larger sizes in the first place.

You don't say what your budget is, but expect to pay £40 upwards.

Thanks for that reccomendation, do you shop there or have anyone who has shopped there? Im always wary of online shops that don't look 'professional' enough when putting in my card details, being a web degree student and all.

I expect to pay £40 and upwards, but it's irritating that 90% of the shops i'll have to buy these in are fetishes shops, because honestly im not looking for thigh high boots with metal hanging off of them, :). But there are a few okay ones in there.

  18. Hello everyone! Im sorry if this has already been a topic, but i've been browsing through and while I find the odd comment here-and-there about where you buy your shoes, I was wondering where you actually buy your shoes ESPECIALLY if you're a larger foot like me! Im a size 12 in UK Mens, roughly 45 in Euro, but my feet are extremely wide and not so much long, so finding shoes that fit in mens is hard enough. I love heels as im sure all of you do too, thats why we're here, and I have a real problem with finding fashionable, trendy heels that look nice and go upto a size 12. I've never owned or tried on a pair of heels simply for the reason that they never fit, and when trying to do it in a shop the whole "looks" issue begins. What would you reccomend, or moreover where would you reccomend to shop for the larger footed man?!
