  1. During the summer I plan to get my photography student friend to take some pictures of me, heels included. I like this forum a lot. I think style is subjective, and it's really intersting to see the different kinds of people on this forum. A lot of you are men who identity as masculine still who just "simple love heels", while others like to adventure into stuff like tights or stockings, and others like myself love the whole femanine effect - from heel to head. That being said, a lot of the men on this forum are older men in the age range of 35-40+. Myself being 19 going on 20, and loving the high-fashion side of life, some of these photos at a first glance I look at and I think "Oh my GOD! NO NO NO!" But one of two things strike me after that. The first being that yes, the guy is an older male, usually still keeping all the male features such as short hair usually grey(ing), masculine clothing such as male polo necks, and hairy arms/face/legs. The fact at what time and age we are in now compared to say when they were my age has changed a lot, it's more acceptable / goes more um-noticed now than before, even if thats only slightly. I think people as a whole are more polite about the matters. I digress though - the point im getting at here is basically just some of the photos I look at, it takes me a few seconds where I have to process the fact that, not everyone has the chance to be young, perky with flawless skin and the ability to pull of heels, we can't all be like GregoryGorgeous on YouTube. But you still do you, because you do it so well! I've said this before and i'll say it again though, most of these outfits bring you all great comfort, again myself included, and even if to others you look a tragic mess, it's only a photo. Your personality (and a matching clutch bag) always help bring an outfit together.

  2. Im 6'3 and i've been everywhere from 150lbs to 275lbs. Right now im sitting at 220, and I aim to get back down to my 160lb goal. My waistline is roughly 32-34 when im that weight, and thats what I love. Heres to that happening in the next few years

  3. I feel like asking for help with style only works if you're ethier open to every kind of style, or if you know someone has a similar style to you. I have the same pair of boots, Pixie Man, but in suede not leather. There are a lot of ways you can go with the boots. Personally, I love femanine style, but without any disrespect to anyone on this forums, I dont like to do it in the classical way, or what some of my friends refer to as "Trannyish". It might have something to do with my age but I try to have a highfashion look about it, kind of inspired after people like Andrej Pejic. Personally with my shoes, being black suede I wear ether some tight skinny jeans, usually in a grey, or some form of shorts. If wearing jeans I wear some kind of oversized (possibly off-the-shoulder) knitwear jumper of some sort, if shorts I might wear some kind of femanine top, and if im going out or not I wear a big statement bag or a clutch. And of course you acessorise! Whichever way you wear them, just make sure you feel good. Even if to other people you look a MESS, if YOU feel good in it, other people ain't even a thang.

  4. I just bought a pair of size USA 13 mens black suede ankle wedged boots! They're Jeffrey Campbell and I was very uneasy about buying them as they had to come from the USA to the UK, and returns wasn't an option, and they were not cheap ether! They came today, and im so glad they fit like a charm! The very tops of the shoes can dig in a little bit to my legs but only when i sit in the unusual way that I do when at my desk haha! I could NOT be happier. I got them from Solestruck.com... Now I just have to wait for the Lita's!!! See pictures below! Sorry for the quality!

  5. I think a lot of people do still care. A lot of them are us, but a lot of us let just one single bad experience put us off for a long time. The first time I even mentioned heels to someone they laughed at me. I have a lot of friends who are okay with it and a few who aren't. I mean getting pointed at and laughed at it all kinda part of the game until the world changes its mind, if it ever does. Congrats on your outings.

  6. Well the heels I got were size 12, and im a size 12 in mens. But Unfortunatly not all of us have the luxury of being able to "try before we buy", due to a lot of the stuff only being avalible online.

The next pair of shoes I have my eye on are a pair of black suede wedged ankle boots and / or a pair of jeffery campbell lita mens. I'm going to buy them in a USA 13 as thats roughly a UK 12 (these shoes are all mens sizing). My feet are roughly 30cm long, from heel to big toe, and the shoes i want say:

"Fits true to size. Size 10 measures 27.5cm. Each whole size is 1cm difference. "

So I should be okay with them (:. For £110 I should hope so too LOL!

  7. Of course this all depends on how wide, tall, narrow, short (ect) the shoe is, and what material it is made out of. My size 12 patent leather pumps fit perfectly on purchase. 1 month later they now slide around a little on my foot, about 1/4 of a size too big on the back.

  8. While im not posting about my new boots as such, as I only own one pair of heels anyway. I was wondering, has anyone seen any Jeffery Campbell Lita's in a UK size 12 anywhere? It's hard finding shoes in a size 12 that dont boreder in the line of hooker haha! (Once again sorry for the kinda de-rail of topic!)

  9. So i've been looking for a black ankle boot for a good MINUTE now, damn my feet for being so big!

I've decided to go for these pleaser boots, or a vcariation of style: http://www.amazon.co.uk/PleaserUSA-High-Seduce-460-black-leather/dp/B001U6MJPM/ref=sr_1_20?s=shoes&ie=UTF8&qid=1322181443&sr=1-20

I was wondering what peoples experiences are with ether these shoes, or pleaser as a brand? I am a size 12 but I have a wide foot, so would you reccomend I go 13? (All UK sizing!)

    Thanks!

  10. You'll know when you're doing it right. It will feel right. People may even tell you, you walk better than most women in those.

This is so true. It took me all of 2-3 days of constantly walking around on my heels to find the perfect way of walking. Unfortauntly I had to walk on carpet, so when I went onto a hard floor it was tricky to say the least, but I have the hang of it all now, especially as my first pair of heels were 6 inch platforms! - I DONT reccomend it kids! Not unless you've been walking on tip-toes like me and Mariah Carey for years!

  11. The reponse i've gotten from females vary at the moment, the majority being good however. A lot of them seem to think it's fabulous, and my friend Sam even wants my first public heeling experience to be on her birthday she loves it that much! Others find it weird and thier instant first question is 'do you wear dresses too?' and 'do you want to be a girl?!' and im just like ugh!

  12. I bought my first (and only) pair of heels from online, on amazon of all the places! They're nitelife shoes, but being a size 12 foot I couldn't really just try on any old shoes in the store or even family members, because none would fit me! So it was kind of do or die. Order the shoes and if they dont fit well i'll just have to keep them :smile:. Luckily, they did fit (;

  13. Hmm. Im not really sure! Apart from heels I dont own much / anything really female as such! Im not into tights or anything like that, however I will be purcahsing a pair of fishnets for when i go see Lady Gaga again, whenever that may be. I own a grey oversized knitwear dress that I adore. It's meant to be worn as an oversized top, however it can work as a dress... I wont tell . I do own a lot of makeup that I wear consistantly. Eyeliners, Eyeshadows, pratically everything to do with the eye area. Im not wearing foundations just yet, but I hope to in the future. On top of the makeup I also wear Dolce&Gabana 3, which is a womans fruity summer perfume. I also own a lot of female jewlery. Necklaces, earrings, braclets (ect), as I just seem to think they have the better jewlery. So yes, I guess I do have a fair bit of "lady bits" hahahah!

  14. The fact it's the dailymail dosn't help anything ether. Infact, no matter what newspaper it was, they'd all probably get the same critque. It's sad, that the comments do reflect the comments of some small-minded people, but a lot of people are looking at it from a viewpoint of "If MY man was wearing those", and "Thats NOT attractive!". Now if they dared to let thier minds take a gander into the fact that the two men in the picture, or indeed most men who wear heels are gay, they might find it more accpeting. However to those of you who are not gay, are who are interested in women, I think these opinions reflect whats wrong in modern day society today. I guess in many ways the sexuality of a person makes it easier as to wearing heels, but anyway I digress. It seems a lot of those comments were from women too, but as I said, if they found out thier fashionable gay friend was wearing something like that, im sure they'd all be calling it "all kinds of fierce", and those who wouldn't are probably the kind that we all know to aviod anyway. Unfortauntly, the world is terrible and the newspapers, or more specifically the press, like to play up to issues that get people angry, or can spark any kind of contraversy. The comments of a few stupid people on a newspaper website will not let me stop doing what I love. I do feel like it's very hypocritical though... Women can wear suits, cut thier hair short (que madonna), and basically transform themselfs into men, even if maintaining that femanine charm or not, they can do it and no one batters an eyelid, but god forbid a man do anything that makes his masculinity seem more weak, because thats shamefull? It's a one-way system. People eventually will get uset to all things, because newer things will arrive and such. Sorry for the long post, I just needed to type it out haha.

  15. I've bought from BSB with success, they were delivered very quickly. They are a part of Barratts, so I'd expect good after sales service, but I haven't needed to use it myself.

I'm a UK 11 and the pair of 11s I bought are slightly large, maybe half a size or so. However, there are a lot of comments on the site about shoes coming small, especially the Saints of Fashion range. The ones I bought are from the Sherbert range.

Ah. Well these are the ones I bought: http://www.bigshoeboutique.co.uk/en/platform-shoe-boots-241561

In an 11. I am a 12 but I figured I could try them on, and if they dont fit i'll just return them or whatever. They look as if they'll be small. But I have to try huh?

Im optimistic at the moment. I plan to strech them out if they dont fit anyway.
