  1. Today, for the first time I went out to the movies in my brown knee high boots in my avatar. I rarely go out in public in my boots, during mid-morning. But it was the first showing of the morning, so there was not a lot of people. It was uneventful, no one even noticed me. Usually I can only go on short trips, early morning or late night. I would consider this a medium sized outing, yet it was my biggest public outing to date.

    Kittyinboots,

I'm finding the samething to be true. No one seems to care. I've taken to wearing my jeans tucked in boots quite often and jus about anywhere.

  2. The higher heel cause smaller steps which is more feminine.

Wearing a tight corset will cause your hips to sway, whether you are wearing heels or not.

Latextex is right, when combined with a corset you get quite a bit of a feminine sway in your hips. I've tried it as well. It is as if everything pivots about your waist, so your hips sway, you take small steps, your legs look longer, feet smaller, not to mention you have a more curvy appearance with the smaller waist and your butt pushed out.

  3. I've been wearing that look for daytime casual for a few seasons now...it's no big deal here in NYC, or Dublin, or London, or Barcelona....

And I always wear women's knee high boots too.

The response is invariably positive, especially from women.

Kneehighs was absolutely right. I picked up a pair of riding boots from Ralph Lauren and gave it a try today. Spent all afternoon in NYC with my jeans tucked in the boots with not a single comment. This is going to be a fashion I heartily adopt.

  4. There may be a fashion trend developing in NYC. Today, I came across two different instances of a man wearing jeans tucked into knee high boots....one near Bloomingdales and the other near Grand Central Station. Although they were only riding boots with flat heels, it is still a start of what could be a great fashion trend.

  5. What do you guys think of boot cut pants from Banana Republic? They have a "long/tall" version of many styles, which means an inseam of 36". I never tried those, but I am kind of tempted.

    Example:

    http://www.bananarepublic.com/browse/product.do?cid=37576&pid=587836

I've a pair of these jeans. They are great, stylish, not too tight, and very comfortable. The 36" inseam is overstated. In realaty they are more like 34" to 35" inseam.

  6. I'd have to agree with highheeltrained. Several years ago I got into corseting, even sleeping in it. With constant wear your core muscles degrade so that you become dependent on the corset for support. It is something that just sort of sneaks up on you if you are not careful. Of course if you don't mind being corset dependent it is ok.

  7. When I go street heeling I usually got a bit more feminine by wearing womens bootcut jeans over my boots. I do believe heels are at their best when highlighting a shapely leg. For those of you who wear skirts when heeling, what kind of reaction do you get ? If you completely crossdress, how easy is that to pull off ?
