1. I have been wearing trainers and outdoor training sandals for the last two days. Itching for heels but seems inappropriate for lectures here as stiletto heels are not worn in university by students. However, last sunday, I wore a pair of 4.5 inch stiletto heeled mules with black patent straps. [ This Message was edited by: Nata on 2002-03-26 04:47 ]

Yeah... I remembered watching Julia Roberts in the movie "Pretty Woman"... I really like the boots she wore in the film. Here in Singapore, thigh high boots are not suitable because of the hot weather and also, you will be inviting a lot of stares and criticisms from the people here.

  3. So far, I notice that tapping the floor with the front part of my shoes while sitting does attract attention. No problem at all when walking because the sound produced by the heels can travel. As for added attention, I will wear an anklet as well.

  4. It has to be the day when I tried high heels for the first time. I went straight from flats to 4 inch heels and I wore that for only an hour and it nearly killed me. However that did not deter me and now I can wear heels for a day if I want.

  5. The biggest hurdle for me when I started wearing heels is wearing it for the first time. With no prior experience of wearing heels, I jumped into 4 inch heels. The first time was tough for me. Even though my parents accepted the idea of me wearing heels at that time (17 years old then), my peers were still in trainers and platforms. I was attracting a lot of attention. But after a while, I have got used to it and I just ignore them now.

  6. Hi Inga and Debbie. I think the platform is popular among young girls because they think that it gives more stability and some platforms are rather flat on the sole even though the platform is about 4 inches high which gives height elevation. However, I find platforms difficult to tackle too... what's more... they are ugly looking. So why settle for something that is equally challenging but hideous in appearance ? [ This Message was edited by: Nata on 2002-03-17 13:51 ]

  7. Yeah, Debbie. I have lots of mothballs and dehumidifiers in the wardrobe for that purpose. Every two weeks, I will take the shoes out, give them a good coating of shoe polish and one final coat of Armor All Protectant to seal the coat. Can't take any risks against the elements, especially when all these shoes are presents from my daddy.

  8. Yesterday, I saw a young junior college girl (17 years old or so) donning her school t-shirt, shorts and stiletto heeled mules (about 3.5 inches). She was heading towards the gym in the health club. Even though I was in 4 inch heels, I could not help but stare at her because, besides me, she is the the other known student that I come across, wearing stiletto heels.
