  1. I did notice a few people at the party looking at my shoes. Envy? Jealousy? Amazement? People who know me expect me to wear them.

And it is a sad report I make, because thin and high heels were not very present. A few pairs around four inches, maybe only one or two pairs that were true stiletto.

Sigh ! If they are looking/staring in envy or amazement .... fine with me but jealousy.... I really hate it especially when talk behind your back with comments that can be very hurting.

  2. I wore a white blouse with navy blue knee length skirt and black patent slingback stillettos for an interview yesterday as a temporary office clerk. The interviewer was a woman in her 40s and I could sense that she didn't really like me from the beginning I stepped into her office. Was she frowning at my footwear and that I could manage heels of that height with ease (4" stilletto heels) ? Guess there is no hope of getting that job. Going for another job interview today....

  3. Based on my experiences, I should consider the "lucky" ones. There were many times when I dashed across the pedestrain crossing when the lights were already flashing "Do not Cross" . In fact, I even heard some pedestrains commenting on how well I managed while running with my heels on. But to think of it, I guess I was lucky that I did not fall and embarassed myself.

  4. Just saw a low budget film on Cinemax the other day. I shall not name the the movie. In the movie, their acting skills were bad and in one scene, the female lead was proceeding into the building with 3 inch block heels on. Then in another scene, she was chased at and shot at by security agents, at that time, she was BAREFOOTED. When she made it to the entrance of the building to try and escape, she was seen in black trainers (as it was a night scene, perhaps they were trying to blend her trainers with the bad lighting). When she got away safely, she was again back in her heels !!!! Strange !!!!!!!

  5. I remembered giving a similar reasoning to another thread somewhere. From a girl's point of view, wearing heels on your first few dates really makes the difference. I remembered this guy who dated me, on the first date, we really had nothing to talk about until our second date when I wore stilletto heels. He started paying attention to my heels and then we started talking about footwear for girls and eventually to heels.

  6. It is just pure common sense. If your job requires a lot of physical work like walking on uneven ground, flat shoes are definitely better for the job. Safety is always the top priority. Vanity have to second spot. Don't expect a female soldier to be wearing stilletto heels and charge up a hill with full combat gear.

  7. When I used to work during the vacation, I tend to wear my black heels more often than my white heels. Probably it is because of the colour of my dresses, skirts and blouses. Besides, it is easier to match black heels with the rest of your attire as compared to white heels. As for any other colours, it is even more difficult.

  8. It happened to me a couple of times. The labels were stucked at the arch of the sole. so no matter how long you wear your heels, they can never be removed by the rough surface of the ground. I remembered once when I realized that my heel tip was coming off, I actually took my shoes to the clobber. It was only at that point that I realized a label sticker (those transparent ones with white letter wordings) was still at the arch of the shoe.
