Is there someone who can ID the shoes?
Not sure, as the angle does not show a clear view, but looks like Brian Atwood platform pumps.

Seems it's Brian Atwood:Emma Stone in great heels. Copy from Mag cover. Does anyone know what make / brand of heels these are?

Anyone know what she's wearing? i think i saw them once on the YSL site.... not a fan of her, but she has great taste... plus some long legs.
Looks like YSL tribute sandals. Nice shoes, btw, but a bit difficult to walk with, maybe:
The lady in the video is Mylène Farmer, a very famous french singer who can superbly manage very high heels. So, the stairs are to blame rather than the shoes.

I don't like it, but I must admit it is not common:

In "Batman Returns" the editing missed it because Michelle Phifer (as Catwoman) is in high heeled boots one second, then from the next angle, her boots have no heels at all.
This is quite common in action movies when there is a high heeled character. Most actresses won't run in heels, neither will stunt doubles. The general assumption is that the audience will not notice anything. Of course, the audience of this board is a different matter
If you've seen Watchmen, you have probably noticed that the heels of silk specter's boots vary from very high to totally flat, depending on how much the character has to move during the shot.

More high heel sightings with the Black Eyed Peas, I gotta feeling:

Since different plastic materials react in weird ways with different glues, maybe the safe way would be to ask a cobbler to fix the shoe. If it's not possible, you can try to test the glue on a hidden part of the material before attempting the real repair thing. Toto

In addition to several already named, I'd say Cesare Paciotti, Pierre Hardy, Karine Arabien, Pollini, Barbara Bui, Casadei, Giuseppe Zanotti... Toto

An excellent heel scene is the opening of the french movie Anthony Zimmer, with Sophie Marceau

I voted Betty Page, but Marilyn Monroe would qualify as a real icon. And lately, Gwyneth Paltrow has shown a, hem, bold taste in her heel choice.

This one: http://forumbilder.se/images/0d7201171142P1292.jpg looks cool and relaxed. But if you prefer to make more of a statement, go for this one: http://forumbilder.se/images/427201171409P864b.jpg
Pumps, imho, are a tad "dressier" than slingbacks, and they look great with a sharp pair of jeans (selvage?). On the other hand, the flared jeans hiding the heels and showing off the painted toes are a subtle combination. So, it's up to your mood.

Indeed, we have seen a lot of heels in big action movies lately. Gwyneth Paltrow's shoes in Iron man were nice, but I think my favorite are Olivia Wilde's wedge boots in Tron Legacy (also featuring some very unusual platform pumps).

I love the spy illustration too. Lots of character. And cool shoes, of course!

What are your preferred styles, colors, cuts? Given the option, what would you have slipped on your feet this morning?
Chris
Well, I like some variety, so, my tastes are pretty eclectic. I can appreciate over the top sculpture-like shoes, the kind you have little chance to spot except if you attend some event at the Fashion week, but I also like classical designs, and I have some very precise ideas about what could be the perfect pump, for instance (though I'd have hard time to tell, I'd know it when I see it).
I'm also partial to retro designs from the 30's to the 60's.
If it were from me to wear, I'd go for no-nonsense oxfords, 4" or 4.5" slightly curved heel, not too thin, not too chunky, black leather and round toe.
-
Kind of funny, but not really meant to be worn, I suppose. And for the material used, nothing wrong here. Horse hide gives a high quality leather, though it tends to be a bit stiff. It used to be the main leather for flight jackets.

I tend to regard Yves Saint-Laurent Tribute sandals as the classy side of the stripper shoes. The Mary-jane version is not bad either
-
Tell me, if it wasn't such a social taboo, would you join in too?
Chris
I surely would. Plus, I'm kind of short, and I could use 4 extra inches!

Another heely sci-fi movie: In time
Amanda Seyfried, among others, spends a good part of the movie running around in 5 inch heels.
Many other nice sightings
