  1. King is a canadian TV show staring Amy Price-Francis as Jessica King, a Toronto Police officer. It's just your average, (not great, but rather good) police TV drama, but the main character shows a strong taste for high heel designer shoes. I watched the first 3 episode from the first season, and, as far as heels are concerned, this show is on verge of blatant fetishism. Available now in France on Catch-up TV (M6.fr). http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1804880/

  2. The backward curved heel, AFAIK, has been around since 1959, when it was first designed by Roger Vivier ("Talon choc"/"Shock Heel"). Vivier was one of the of the most original and influential shoe designer, so, modern designers tend to sort of pay hommage to him from time to time. The result is not always very convincing.

  3. ...La Piazza had some great vintage-like design but seems they're dead...

I don't think they are dead. Unless dead can answer emails... It seems they only do made-to-order now.

Apart from that, good luck with your project. As you can tell from my avatar, I'm a huge fan of these vintage styles.

  4. Anne Hathaway as Catwoman is wearing nice thigh-high platform boots with weaponized stiletto heels in the last Batman. You can go watch the movie for the action, which is pretty spectacular, but don't expect enjoying much clear sights of the heels, though. Here is the clearest view I could find, and a picture of the boots on display.

  5. The pair in the first pic is really sky high (at least, more than the usual we are used to see) or is just an effect caused by the shot angle?

These are Jimmy Choo's Esam platform pumps, with 5 3/4" / 14,5 cm heels with 1 1/2" / 4 cm platform. So, indeed, the heel is higher than usual, but the angle of the shot makes them look even higher.

Here is a picture of the same model in black suede:

  6. Next: Elizabeth Hurley When you put on a pair of 12 cm Jimmy Choo booties for an air trip, you really deserve to be regarded as an high heel icon (pic 1-2-3). Note she has two pairs of the same model, one in nude color, the other in dark blue. The arch on the silver sandals (pic 4) is quite impressive too, and I'm sure the lady staring in the background of the picture would agree.
