I lived in Hartsville, SC for all my 26 years until 7 months ago. Now I'm in upstate SC with really nobody except my aunt and uncle with whom I stay. I kinda hope maybe against all odds that their might be a few members here that are from my area.

Sooo So many things have changed in the years that I have been away. Family, friends, jobs, and heels. So i figured that when I did decide to come back today that one of two things were going to happen. 1) I am here to stay this time. 2) I will try to the best of my ability to actually participate rather than just stalk the pages as it were. Anyway I figured that with these two gaols in mind I would begin with this default questionaire I found at the top of the forum catagory so here goes. What is: (a) Your favourite heel height:3-4 inches ( Your highest heel height:6+ inches How often do you wear: (a) Your favourite heel height: ( Your highest heel height: Do you wear socks, hose, stockings or bare feet with your shoes:Socks(boots) or bare feet(everything else) Anything else you wish to add: I have only worn heels once or twice in the last few years due in part to my feet apparently changing shape which has rendered pretty much my entire collection unwearable because of discomfort. Also I split with my significant other more than three years ago and have discovered that one of my biggest motivations, (although not my only motivation), for wearing heels was doing around her because she enjoyed it so much. I love wearing them but in my current living situation I can't really do that, and I love to wear them "for" somebody which I have no call to do right now. So I'm sort of in a heel-less black hole right now.

I'm not even sure how long its been since I was on here but its been literally five minutes and I already feel better lol. Truthfully I thought maybe I was on the wrong site, I mean it looks a million times different then when I left it years ago. I'm not really sure what else to say honestly. I've never been a very outgoing type of person but here I am. I hope to get back into the swing of things now.

personally I have stuck to the chunky heel styles but thats because the state in which I live in is highly conservative. (they don't call it the bible belt for nothing) However if I could wear whatever I wanted without fear of my aunt and uncle (with whom I live with) killing me at the mere sight of me in heels, I would prefer knee high or thigh high (tight fitted if thigh high) stilettos (although my frame may not match them) with say a 4-5 inch heel. and also by the way i can't seem to figure out what stone weight is. I am in the process of possibly moving to London and have heard this referenced by some of the people i have spoken to in the UK several times. What is it?

I love wearing heels, I like how they look, how they make me walk differently in fact the whole package.

The problem is, if I am being dragged all over the city from pub to pub my feet hurt to such a point that it ruins my night.

Is it a matter of getting used to the pain or does the pain just go away.

If I could have an operation to cut the nerve endings off in my feet, I would gladly have it.

Actually the best thing I have seen of late was on Good Morning America. (early morning US news) Nike Shoes has recently unveiled plans to make a line of heels (and traditional men's dress shoes) that integrate sneaker technology. The female hosts were all really happy when they got to try them. they all said its the closest thing to wearing sneakers and they look very stylish and just fantastic.

Again I thank all of you for your feedback. I suppose I just needed to make sure of some things you know. I am so new to wearing them for any length of time that I can't walk effectively in anything higher than 3" lol. I would like to be able to wear higher ones but I don't want to be "stuck in heels" permanently. How high do you think I could go before I couldn't walk flat-footed.

Thanks for all of the positive feedback guys. Although I admit I wouldn't expect anything less from this site. My biggest problem is the fact that I would love to wear them out more but I live in what is known as the bible belt of the US. I sure you can determine why I fear going out in them. We have more conservatism in this part of the US then the whole rest of the country. Lots of old conservative money and lots of people who would be just plain mean. I guess yall have heard all of this before site probably half of yall at least have done this for years. I'm just finally starting to accept it and act on it so.... By the way I would also like to get some of the womens reactions and advice as well but I accedentally posted the original question in the wrong place. How would i go about rectifing that without having to repost the whole thing.

Thanks wineanddine its just that I have a habit of classifying EVERYTHING so it makes sense to me to know exactly what all of this is and possibly how it came about in the first place. idk I just can figure out why I like this so much. lol

Hi to everybody, I was hoping that yall could help me piece together some things ok. I have been enjoying heels in some form or another since I was around 6 years old. I have done the whole crossdressing bit in the past but have had no intrest in that for a few years and I don't really see that as something for me in the future. The only thing I wear now that can be described as feminen is high heels. I have worn them in public occasionally but not very often at all. I do have some sexual desire linked to heels but not all the time. That is odd to me since I always figured it was one way or another. I mean you can't have a fetish only part of the time can you? I am confused as to where this is going and how to react to it so I hope yall can give me some feedback and (for lack of a better term) diagnose me so to speak. I look forward to your replies.

Hi to all. This is my first time posting but I've been hanging around for a while now. The names Jamie, I'm a white male, straight, age 20 and have been going back and forth in my mind about the subject of men and high heels for sometime now. I really like this sight because there is so much here. Not to purposefully make the "mods" blush or anything but in all my net experience I still consider this site to be the most comprehensive site on heels, (from all angles of society). I'm not sure what I can or will ultimately gain from the exploration of the particular part of myself but its nice to know that there is a place that I can go to get the answers I need to make a well informed choice. (albeit probably some very opinionated answers judging from some of the posts here but thats OK lol.) I do not possess internet access at my place of residence so I have to "borrow" internet access wherever possible. Needless to say my posts, until this little problem is rectified may be few and far between.
