  1. There used to be a website called www.prettyshoe.com that sold those. I personally love them but think that they would look better with chain straps and padlocks. I guess I'm a little into self shoe bondage. I just wish I had the money to buy them when they were available.

  2. I wear a mens 13 but medium width. I find that the Devious brand ballets are actually too wide for me and I have to modify them in order to compensate for the width and my weight, 280 pounds. I would think that with your width unless your feet are unusually wide that the Devious ballets may work. Best if you could try them on first or at least find a shop with an easy exchange policy.

  3. I have received a couple of questions regarding this modification so I am going to add some detail here. The metal bar is a piece of what started to out to be a large angle brace 4 inches on each side. I cut off about 3.5 inches from one side of it and rounded off the corners with a grinder. This keeps the edges from hurting the boot in the toe area. The .5 inches end goes into the toe of the boot. The other end will come up into the boot at around the arch area. Here you will drill a hole through the sole to bolt it in. Do not drill through the exact center of the arch area as there is a metal shank in the boot that this will destroy. Offset the hole towards the inside of the foot by about 3/8 of an inch. Place a mark through the angle brace hole at the end closest to the toe of the boot. Drill a 1/4 inch hole at this point. Some wedging is needed to get the bolt through as the hole if drilled correctly is not centeres in the hole. Shove down on the metal bar and force the metal against the toe area until you can get the bolt through then place a nut on the sole side to secure it. This will not be able to be seen when standing and will add more support and reduce toe wear on the boot. Befor doing this I always seen to have heavy wear on the leather around the toe area dut to the toe box bending down. It also makes the heel seem shorter as the toe gets a little longer. The 3/8 inch plywood is cut to fit the boot area from the toe to where the bolt goes through. This reduces the size of the boot and adds strength. This will allow the boot to be laced up tighter and keep the toes from touching the bottom. I hope this helps if anyone needs more information please feel free to ask publicly or privately.

  4. Try placing a sock on your foot about mid arch then folding it back over towards your toes so that some of the sock is loose extending beyond the toe. The extra sock that is extending in front of your toes will act as both a cushion and a mini platform while the part of the sock that is on your foot will allow you to tighten the boots very tight which helps take some of the pressure of the toes. Another method is to take a short athletic sock and roll it up and place in the toe area then put the boots on but fold your toes so that you are walking on the tops of your toes this sounds painful but works well.

  5. I had that thought several times but was unable to find pointe shoes in my area. I also saw on ebay several years ago a pair of ballet heels made out of a pair of pointe shoes. Basically pointe shoes with heels. I wish I had saved the picture. They were like yours with a thick heel that had been adorned with some type of jewels. They were very sexy and even my wife who says ballet heels look like lobster claws liked them but they weren't in her size. I would like to see people expand upon the idea of ballet heel creation or modification and create new things. They may not look the best but I hope the manufacturers see that there are other ideas and start making new things. Please keep this thread going and continue to share your thoughts and ideas. As for my modification I made the heels the same height I was used to walking in. The new heels are so solid that they don't bend under like the originals which effectively make them higher and I have to cut them down about 3/8 of an inch to make them more walkable. I will try to do a video of me walking in them soon.

  6. Freestyling or Crossdressing it's basically the same thing, it's about what we want to wear and when and where we want to wear it. The labels are there for description purposes only and should be left that way. I have spent most of my life being worried about how I would be labelled. Here, in this place, labels don't bother me as I feel that I am among friends. I think we should try hard to make everyone who comes here feel the same way and allow them to express themselves in a way that they cannot anywhere else. I personally cannot talk to anyone I know about the things I feel and what I want to wear so I do it here without fear which is the way it was meant to be and should remain. Sorry for the rant but I think everyone here should feel good about expressing themselves.

  7. TLSB is out of business. The ones from Punitive look well made with sturdy heels but I have not tried them yet. Pata could probably offer a good suggestion if you could ask her. The ones from Devious are made with the heels a little too long and the heels don't stand up well if you are like me and walk with a heavy foot.

  8. I too agree with the term "Daywalker" great reference. I have been doing the daylight thing more and more and with the exception of nervousness getting out of the car I have had no trouble except some strange looks and the occasional laugh. I had to face a cashier who was laughing and she said I'm sorry to laugh, I said go ahead and laugh I'm sure I look ridiculous but I don't care.

  9. 6' 5 " flatfooted. US male 13, I can wear, for a limited time, as small as US Womens 11 but usually buy US womens 13. My feet are not real wide and I like my heels to fit tightly so I guess I am lucky that I can wear shoes that small without problems. I get some strange looks from time to time though especially in ballets.

  10. I wonder if a turnbuckle idea would look OK it would certainly be more robust but would take longer to adjust then the problem of having one heel longer than the other. I think I make incorporate that into my next pair of replacement heels for ballet boots. Ballet boots with adjustable heels?

  11. Jim, I actually though of doing that before I added in the steel to mine but I could not find anyone in my area that sold large pointe shoes. Look in the modifications area to see pictures of what mine have evolved into. I want to make steel or wooden platforms for them next but finding time is diffficult. I don't think I will ever be able to make them and have them look great they will probably look more and more like some medeival torture device.

  12. Yes many congradulations to you. I have only on one or two occasions been able to wear heels and women's clothes into a store to shop. I get so incredibly nervous getting out of the car that many times I give up even when I know that once I'm out of the car I will be fine. That first step out is definately the hardest. Even for someone who has been doing this for years.
