  1. Hi easy tiger, I do quite a lot of my heel shopping in Preston and have frequently tried heels on...... Whilst in my work uniform. It's not the best place for me to be out and about in heels as a lot of my work colleagues also have their breaks in Preston. I live in Barrow which is only a short trip away from you, will have to arrange a shopping expedition at some point.... I really like Manchester as you can blending with the crowds more Look forward to hearing from you

  2. Well when you are out shopping on Sunday, have a good look at all the other women in heels, make sure that she notices and even drop a "Those boots look good, don't they?" into the conversation. You never know, women being the jealous creatures they are, she might decide to wear her high boots next time to stop you becoming distracted.... just a thought but it might work. Your lucky size 8/9 is readily available in quite a lot of shops, in fact theres a lot of choice about at the moment in the sales. You will be better off wearing heels with a pair of long jeans, most of the time you cannot tell a guy has heels on under them, its what I do and go out during the day as the traffic noise etc really masks the sound of the heels. I went to Matalan yesterday in heels under jeans and no one noticed, people didnt even look around to see who was making the click click noise! Once youve been out once, you will find it easier and easier. Hope this helps

  3. I live in Barrow, Cumbria which is a very intolerant place and whilst I do go out in boots I would not go out in shoes around town. (Mainly because its a small town and everyone knows each other and I dont really want my work mates to know). Having said that we have four men in town who always walk around dressed as women in girls shoes, one in particular who always trys to engage passers by in conversation, everyone in town knows about him so perhaps its not as strange a thing to do as it may seem. I have shopped in New look, Brantano and evans for shoes here in Barrow, trying them on in the shop and had no adverse reaction. What size feet are you? I take it you can wear shoes from high street stores then, If you need any advice/support just message me, I'm lucky because the wife understands (sort of) but its a lonely place where your partner doesnt support you in wearing heels.

  4. To be perfectly honest, I was exactly the same when buying shoes. Until I discovered that to be honest, no one really cares what you are buying. Depending on your size, try brantanos or new look as they have all the pairs ready to try on and seriously dont be afraid to try them on. As for going outside, get a pair of boots that go under a pair of jeans and go out during the day, as people are so busy they will not even notice what you are wearing. Where in Scotland are you?
