  1. I still marvel at the Milky Way stretching across the sky with it's countless bejeweled points of light and hidden treasures just waiting to be found by anyone with binoculars or a telescope. There is something special about seeing celestials objects with your own eyes that creates an intimacy with the universe that's quite humbling.

  2. I think there are a lot of guys exploring a similar look. Myself included. Regular fit works well for shoes. You can certainly wear boots underneath regular fit jeans, but you won't like the look of the boot over them. This is where skinny jeans are great. They have a nice line continuing into the boot shaft. Note: You will probably have to have the boot shafts altered to fit. Ladies boots tend to have more meat in the calves for a given size than we guys have.

  3. Oh, and it's really cool if you can get the inseams of the jean to line up with the zippers on the boots (if applicable).

  4. Oh, I thought you meant lace not laces. But yeah, you can cut those to. Just redress the ends by wrapping the end tightly with cellophane (clear transparent stuff) tape. Apply a lighter flame to the end to bond the whole thing together. Don't overdo it on the heat. You might want to practice with the length that you cut off before redressing the actual end. Yeah I hit the post message button on my profile page instead by mistake. Knew you'd figure it out.

  5. Congrats! You actually earn rep points here by posting and staying out of trouble. Other established users can also bump up your rep points.

  6. You'll really appreciate the boots all that more when the boot shafts fit your legs perfectly. Have fun!

  7. That is definitely one advantage of a lace up. Enjoy!

  8. Sorry to have missed you. Loved our late night exchange the other night.

  9. I have my moments. And it's just as lovely talking to a real lady.

  10. Yes I did in fact see them. I haven't been keeping up on my astronomy lately but the two bright ones close together in the east caught my eye last night.

  11. I actually like the shape of the heel on the 2023 better, a bit more classy IMO. I am curious as to what you would wear with them. I do think it's doable if done right.

  12. We still have dark skies in Maine If you get away from the major towns and cities. Lot's of places where there is nothing. Time has also been theorized as a forth physical dimension, if so from our perception an infinte amount of ourselves could exist even in the same space, separated by time.

  13. Well that's how the visitor message system is, visible to everyone. I must say both you and Rei are giving it a good workout.

  14. Much the same really.

  15. Or John Serrie.

  16. Composer, he writes music for planetarium shows. Very dreamy ethereal music, perfect for stargazing.

  17. Oh I love "The Planets" by Holst. A great late period masterpiece.

  18. I told you my music tastes were eclectic , and you doubted me. ;)

  19. And I thought it read like Wagner's Ace of Spades

  20. I've been around these parts for a while now, and I see the changes going on around me, not only are things changing, but they are accelerating. It largely depends on us and more and more of us are wearing our heels out in public than ever before. People are seeing it, talking about it or just hearing about it.

  21. I had my local cobbler or shoe repairer do the work. It really is a custom tailoring. It cost me about $20 a pair for tailoring, really worth it. The yellow pages might be a good place to start. Excess lace? Scissors baby, but keep the cuts so they follow the pattern and avoid cutting across the pattern. That way you can cut it with scissors without it looking like it had been cut with scissors.

  22. I noticed you don't have personal messaging enabled. I really would like to talk to you privately if I may.

  23. Happy Birthday Ron!

  24. I actually wear men's skinny jeans, Levis EX-GF jeans. They use their men's sizing system of waist and inseam. I have no idea how it relates to women's sizing. Other's may be able to help you though. JeffB might be able to help you out there.

  25. Lot's of rain moderate wind, didn't even loose power.
