Laurieheels Posted November 25, 2002 Posted November 25, 2002 No time to do the diary this week, it was a busy day. My Sunday started early, and I went to help my friend Jennifer pack up her place, well, parts of it, to make sure she has it all done by next weekend. She is moving back in with her parents until her wedding, so she can save money. I wore heels during the week, felt very good in them, Monday thru Thursday, and I even wore my four inch stiletto sandals one one of the days when the weather was warm. This is Alberta, seasonal rules do not apply. It was nice. I guess this is somewhat of a diary, so I'll just leave it as an official entry, I guess. I have a heap of dishes to do, laundry to fold, put away, and ever so slowly, some packing of my own to do, for an impending day in 2003. Later people
Laurieheels Posted November 27, 2002 Author Posted November 27, 2002 Sorry sweetie, I don't think they're going to fall for such a comment, maybe they already know the answer...
Laurieheels Posted November 28, 2002 Author Posted November 28, 2002 It may not be exactly what you think. So I am not sure if congratulations is the word. But I will be moving. I like his kitchen better than mine anyway. And there won't be a need for driving anymore.
Yamyam Posted November 28, 2002 Posted November 28, 2002 If you're doing something that makes you happy, then congratulations are in order. I can't remember if I've said this once or not, but if not, here goes! Obsessed is such a strong word. I prefer to think of myself as "differently enthusiastic"
Laurieheels Posted November 29, 2002 Author Posted November 29, 2002 Thank you, Yamyam, and yes, it makes us happy, like, I've never been so happy. It's amazing, and I admit, I am a lucky girl.
Stu Posted December 1, 2002 Posted December 1, 2002 It's a big step for the two of you, but I'm sure it's a happy one, too, so congratulations. Laurie, does this mean you will be looking for another job?
Laurieheels Posted December 1, 2002 Author Posted December 1, 2002 The company has an office in Edmonton, I hope to transfer. A new job means waiting on benefits, missing out on pay, and neither are acceptable. I really do not wish to bring in a lot of the personal aspects of what goes on for me and Chris, but, simply put, if I had my way, I'd move at the end of December.
Stu Posted December 3, 2002 Posted December 3, 2002 Transferring is the way to go, as long as you're happy with the company. And a whole new office will become acquainted with a stiletto goddess....
Laurieheels Posted December 3, 2002 Author Posted December 3, 2002 The transferring is about not wishing to look for a new job and worry about things like health coverage. The move is what matters, and who the move is for.
