bladerunner Posted February 29, 2008 Posted February 29, 2008 Any suggestions to solve this problem? I have a pair of sling backs with an elasticated back which is about 3cm's thick and when i walk my foot slips out but not constantly...any ideas on something to attach to the elastic to grip my heel better??? because of the stretch i wondered if any company did something similar to heel grips for shoes but with some give........over to you guys!!!! I just love those suede heels!!!!!
Ninanoora Posted February 29, 2008 Posted February 29, 2008 Hmm maybe your shoes doesnt fit you perfectly, maybe bit too big? You could use some kind of cushion under your heels, there is lot of different cushions available, like heelcups or straps that you can glue in shoe that makes it fit more better. http://www.fuss-schuhe.de/high-heels-shop.html?http://www.fuss-schuhe.de/hhfc/bama/bama.htm http://www.footpetals.com/cgi-bin/footpetals/prod.html?mv_arg=Tip%20Toes http://www.footpetals.com/cgi-bin/footpetals/prod.html?mv_arg=Heavenly%20Heelz "Even when I'm a mess, I put on a vest... with an S on my chest, oh yes.. Guy N. Heels Posted March 2, 2008 Posted March 2, 2008 The problem you cite is typical of when the elastic begins to give-out and no longer retains the power to grip the back of the heel, as was originally intended. The simplist solution is to replace the elastic. If possible, use something that is even stronger and wider than the mfgr. originally used. I have even gone so far as to cut extra slots in one of the straps to create a "fold-back" buckle effect. In this manner, I can adjust the tension on the elastic so that later-on when the new elastic begins to weaken I simply snug it up a little tighter. If your sling straps are indeed 3 cm wide (that's better than an inch), you should have ample room for this "fold-back" buckle effect and should be able to use some very strong elastic. Keep on stepping, Guy N. Heels
