Hi all.

Having lurked for a long time, with only one previous post, I have decided to start getting a little more active. These are the new Mary Janes I just picked up for $20 - very comfortable. Suprisingly they are not a wide (I have big hoofs) but they fit really well.

A little about me to introduce myself. I'm in my 30-teens and recently got divorced (not because of my shoe loves, it just happened over time). Having kept my shoe likes very quiet during the marriage, it has come time to open up again. I now have a collection of around 13 pairs, ranging from platform flip-flops (don't hate me - they are really comfy), low heels, high heels, and a couple of pairs of knee-high boots.

I wish I had the courage to street-heel, but it isn't going to happen too soon. I am a little too afraid of going out on my own in Seattle.

Enough about me - have a great day in heels!

Nailpainter - I've been toying around with getting some platform flip-flops but was unsure of how comfortable they'd be (summer is coming, after all). Can you post a picture of yours? Also, my experience here in Seattle is that as long as you're not real overt about it, nobody even notices. I've spent more time at the Costco south of Safeco wearing a pair of Plinar wedge boots than I could have believed possible 3 months ago.

I say go ahead with the platform flip-flops. I don't even know how many pairs I own and I practically lived in them last summer except for work. As soon as the weather breaks here in the Northeast US I hope to break out my new pair of Reef platform thongs. Like I said, go ahead and enjoy them!!

If the shoe fits-buy it!!!!!!
