The historical fashion plates are replete with skirts and dresses for men: http://www.siue.edu/COSTUMES/COSTUME4_INDEX.HTML

Even heels for the French nobility: http://www.siue.edu/COSTUMES/PLATE60CX.HTML

And: http://www.siue.edu/COSTUMES/PLATE60DX.HTML

But the heels just kept getting taller for the men, particularly in the turn of the century between the 1700s and the 1800s:

Sadly, by the end of the 1800s, ladies had adopted the wearing of heels, and the fashion tended to die out for most men.

I say let's bring it back!

I know we're trying...

Is anyone spending time on some of the other fashion forums putting the "seeds" out, so to speak? I know kneehighs was doing a great job. Provided it's done tastefully, and in a way that's still masculine, there won't be a backlask, just merely growing acceptance that, yes, it's a style of choice now for guys.

By the way, I was really surprised to the see how many different shoe manufactuers are offering larger sized boots (to a US 13) on Zappos this fall - about twice what it was last year. Perhaps my letter-writing campaign had some effect!

Just to be nice, I bought two pair. They're on their way and will let you know when they arrive, pics and all!

The guys at the Delphi Forum "Legwear as Unisex Fashion" at

http://forums.delphiforums.com/legwearuf

are facing the same kinds of questions, problems, dilemmas, challenges, issues, frustrations, opportunities, benefits, joys, achievements, and accomplishments that we see here on this forum. Stepping outside the box of conventional fashion norms presents some real challenges for men, and the pioneers always get arrows in their backs.
