ems8 Posted September 24, 2004 Posted September 24, 2004 Hello All, Watching a news network the other night. They had a fashion show of Tommy Hilfiger. All the Female models came down the runway doing the Model stomp, one foot crossing over in front of the other. It actually looks painful especially in really high heels. But the men came down the runway as if they where just walking along as usual. Ok the question. Why the Model walk ? it doesn't seem to make the clothes look better or do the models job just have to be more difficult because of how much they get paid? Really why the cross over walk Any idea who started it? Thanks
raccoon Posted September 24, 2004 Posted September 24, 2004 I think it's an exaggeration of the ideal to avoid an unwieldy walk. The model gives the impression of having slimmer legs if she hides one leg behind the other.
asdf174 Posted September 24, 2004 Posted September 24, 2004 I think it just makes them look like they have "attitude" It's all good. ~Arron.
nhoj62 Posted September 24, 2004 Posted September 24, 2004 i think it just looks weird an they are more likely to trip over there own feet!. later nhoj62 the higher the boot, the higher the heel, the better the feeling!
