Western heels are undercut but not sculpted in the way that a simlarly high women's heel is. Two inches high seems to be the commonly maximum for men's heel height at present. There are many women's styles available that approximate these men's heels parameters. Several threads here seem to demonstrate the success of wearing women's heels in public as long as they are chunkier and can be passed off as unisex. Attitude has a lot to do with the success of doing it well. Start conservative. If you want to wear women's heels that is a valid approach.
