bud Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 This is my first post, although I have lurked here for many years. I wore heels daily way back in the 70s when they were fashionable for men I have wondered if elevator shoes for men feel like real heels
SleekHeels Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 I've never worn elevator shoes, maybe they extend the ankle a little but the similarity ends there. I imagine they may well have some kind of raised arch support in the insole, and their heel shape and toe-box must be wider than most pairs of real heels. Perhaps most significantly, I can't imagine elevator shoes ever being described as "glamorous", and that's a huge part of the fun of wearing heels. If you like it, wear it.
Histiletto Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 I think of wedge heeled sneakers much the same way. You certainly get the heels of your feet raised but they tend to lack the glam and other attractions.
