katie Posted January 5, 2004 Posted January 5, 2004 So I bought these new shoes from Next. Very nice and all (yes, they're stilettoes). But when I come to wear them without tights, my toes squeak against the inside of the toe-box.... what does one do to stop that? I get this with certain kinds of liner, but I've never worked out how to stop it. And it's really rather loud and distracting.
Anita C. Posted January 5, 2004 Posted January 5, 2004 A bit of foot powder in the toebox area should do the trick if it is your toes making the squeek. If not it might be the shank of the shoe and THAT is a different case altogether. "Spike Heels . . a Pork-pie hat . . Have on the mend in no time flat . . mk4625 Posted January 6, 2004 Posted January 6, 2004 I've noticed this with extremely high, thin heels: sometimes the heel will flex so that the tip slides a few millimeters producing a squeaking sound on hard surfaces. Michael
