I was coming out of an underground station the other day and saw this advertisment for an Italian restaurant. For you heely fans, this is a killer ad (the girl is wearing a gorgeous pair of white stilettos. Enjoy!

I spot the too-large shoes in a very large number of catalogues, fashion shoots, glamour photos etc. I guess that they only have a limited number of shoes they can bring along, so just bring something that should be quite close or possibly slightly oversize. It would be better if they spent the extra few minutes checking what size the model does actually wear first. With clothes, I know they often tuck any excess away at the back, with pins and tape to hold it together. You can't do that with shoes. It often ruins the look for me.

Better that shoes are too big and slip off then be too small and damage the foot. I think it's a wise decision, to go large or send the moel home, so to speak. Besides, they look good, and we're getting fussy about it. :(
