Ionic Posted October 17, 2003 Posted October 17, 2003 I don't often start new topics but this deserves one as there is no relevant thread to develop. Try this URL for shop hunting while saving shoe leather. You can 'walk' down all the main London West End shopping streets and other prime shopping streets with your mouse and look for fashion / shoe shops. http://www.streetsensation.co.uk/ I found it through the Covent Garden, Monmoth Street page on an unrelated Google search. On the Marylebone section, for example, you can see the shop front of Magnus shoe store on Chiltern Street. happy cyber-retail-therapy! and no excuses for finding good places to meet another time... /I /I

Ionic Posted October 17, 2003 Author Posted October 17, 2003 That seemed familiar! I've been there! Thank you very much Ionic! You could have done with that link a fortnight ago, Robert, couldn't you??? /I /I
Robert Posted October 17, 2003 Posted October 17, 2003 Well, the best way to shop is to be there. And I enjoyed it very much. I saw this site before I went to London. I save your link for future shopping in London. Thanks again. Boots, fascinating footwear http://s70.photobucket.com/albums/i103/Boots_1956/
jo Posted October 18, 2003 Posted October 18, 2003 At the London Heelmeet, I mentioned the London Fetish Map which I picked up Issue 1 in 2002 Autumn, and which lists all the fetishy type retailers, including specialist shoe shops, all over London. By chance, I happened to pick up Issue 2, in a shop in Camden, the day after the heelmeet. Another useful source. Their web site at: www.whatsyours.com has more info.
Firefox Posted October 19, 2003 Posted October 19, 2003 Nice resource Ionic. Thanks for posting it. It would be even better to click on a door and virtually make your way around a shop. I have seen that technology in action at Schuh, but it's still not good enough to browse individual pairs and the download times are large.

I tried to make the URL link live, don't think it worked, perhaps you can edit your original posting. trying again ~ http://www.whatsyours.com ~ that's better... Ta /I /I
