Daisuki
I was in New York City a few days ago and that is certainly a good place to see a lot of heels. I expected that, but not the short video on the cab's mini-TV promoting, "High Heel-A-Thon." I thought my mind was playing tricks on me, but apparently not. It's not only real but there's one in the UK as well (and who knows where else). Here is some info (links) for those that are interested in the US and/or UK events. There are pictures and videos as well. Apparently, men can participate too! New York (September 22) http://bventertainment.go.com/tv/buenavista/regisandkelly/special/highheel/index.html Leeds, England (26 September) http://www.highheelathon.co.uk/ I just hope the participants are told to be careful when attempting speeds above a brisk walking pace. It's great to see heeling going to good causes!

Histiletto
I hope these "HEEL-A-THON"s and all other heeling contests become events held in every city, especially to raise money for good causes. With the economy in shambles, it's harder for people to just give out their "extra" funds to just any cause. Plus, anything that gets people off their duffs and helps them to exercise is good for almost everyone. Well, I'd better go practice what I expouse. RPMindy
I got a text from my wife about this. it's not the first one like this in NYC... I've seen clips on youtube about such races and the gals do carry a lot of speed in their heels. RPM
