BobHH Posted June 10, 2003 Posted June 10, 2003 I didn't know where else to post this subject, so here it is. Is anybody or everyone familiar with the Cathy comic strip? Cathy is an overweight, unmarried office girl, neurotic about her weight, clothes, and relationships. One Sunday's strip showed drawings of His and Hers outfits titled: The Baggy Sweatsuit The Slouchy Shorts The Roomy Khakis The Breezy Tennis Outfit The Carefree Date Wear The Comfy Jeans and Tee All showed baggy, loose outfits for him, and figure-hugging, plunging neckline, bare midriff, short outfits for her. The final panel, labeled "For Him, Unisex, For her, Uni-Insult" shows Cathy in stiletto heels, bulging out of the comfy jeans and tee outfit and looking shocked, saying "What happened?" The saleslady, holding some really high heeled slides, says "Here. Your heels aren't quite high enough for the beach." Too bad copyright laws prevent scanning and posting it.
BobHH Posted June 12, 2003 Author Posted June 12, 2003 Cathy is standing in the store in a new bathing suit, looking fat, sticking her tongue out in disgust. The saleslady brings her more accessories: "Balance the thighs by broadening the shoulders! Balance the waist by beefing up the bust! Balance the rear by embellishing the tummy!" After: Cathy says "You added ten pounds!" Saleslady says "I'll bring heels, you need height."
