acesecret Posted July 5, 2009 Posted July 5, 2009 Ive been stealth heeling a few times since ive joined this site and its given me the information and confidence to go out with the boots in my avatar (in black ribbon though) during daylight on short walks and get on with whatever i wanted, so many members here have said that you're not going to get a riot after you that is has to be true. Admittedly so far this is all true, the catch is that ive always worn these black wedge boots, that dont make a sound, they blend in with whatever im wearing so as i said, stealth heeling. Now i want to take it further... Now my new goal is i want longer trips out in them, also in a few other styles i can stealth in too. I still absolutely hate heeling in my local area but dont mind anywhere else however that means carrying the heels until i can change at the new destination, which just doesnt feel relaxed. Is there a solution to this? My one wish right now is to just have one fun care-free night out in a pair of "party/clubbing" heels, im talking 4-5" heel hidden platform pumps or so, trying my best to make it fit in with whatever smart menswear i can, and just have a fun night out. I should note ive emphasised so much on stealth heeling so much right now because i feel it just integrates with commercial menswear so well, a few pics ive seen around here ive just thought "nah, those heels just dont compliment the rest of what he's wearing" im guessing ive rubbed a few people the wrong way by saying that and also contradicted myself, but therein lies the appeal behind my wish for that one night of fun, to understand and push that barrier.
kikepa Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 I've found the best way to push the barrier is to wear earrings, looser, more feminine clothing, and best of all, be my relaxed, confident self. The latter, as much as anything, makes for the difference between a fun evening and a blah one. Those who really care about us don't make a fuss about what we wear. Those who make a fuss about what we wear really don't care about us.
Dawn HH Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 Kikepa:-) That's the key to everything. To be relaxed and confident that, "Hey, I can do this". Cheers--- Dawn HH High Heeled Boots Forever!
